1. Just saying.. If I choose any of these. And someone chooses the same one. I will fight you.
2. The Midlander is a heaping pile of adorable and you should play her.
3. I don't have any singular letter preferences (It doesn't have to start with Tir- that was just a random collection of letters.) All I need is for it to be short (1-3 syllables), and to flow nicely with my given name when said aloud. I'm currently dabbling around with Shirako Khorir Sorei And Tirahlo
4. Kind of bending the purposes of this thread, but I really need some help here. ;~; My first name is staying, because no u can't have it. (and it really isn't inappropriate for a keeper, so myeh~) But my last name is driving me MAD. Before learning that there were naming conventions beyond "fantasy sounding" I had originally named her "Proust" because it's nice, short, solid, and I liked what it did to my mouth when I said it. But after looking at the Keeper's naming traditions I knew that wasn't going to fly. I tried playing it off in her backstory, but it just became too dramatic for how I like my backstories. :T So I ask you, members of the RPC, can you help me pick a new last name that is not only lore friendly, but fun to say, matches my given name, short, and all around adorable? I've been toying around with Tirahlo (teer-AH-lo), but I'm not 100% sure yet. Moon keeper names are hard. ;~;
5. I feel like the "Legend states that any who drink this mysterious liquid before lying down for the evening will awaken a new man (or woman)." could be taken a bit more intensely to explain the more radical changes. Instead of it being a simple case of the character wanting to change their race or gender, it would be a complete overwrite of who that character was. I mean we already have some memory altering events in the game. I don't think it would be too unreasonable to assume the legendary vial gave them a new history (even if it's just an illusion) along with the new appearance, and their past self is only remembered as a dream. I assume the will of the past self can shine through, but not the specifics. /shrug just a thought. :T
6. Lack of acknowledgement is frequently seen as both an admission of being troubled by their actions and a challenge to be more intrusive. I hope you don't mind me saying so, but we've all had it good on Balmung, in regards to trolling. 1.0 was seen as so bad that it couldn't hold the kind of players that really organize their efforts when it comes to disrupting roleplay. I have got to agree with this. Ignoring the trolls is easy, yeah, but it's hardly effective at getting them to leave, and it definitely isn't as satisfying as making them lose. I've ignored my share of rp trolls, but I've never had so much fun with getting rid of trolls as when I turn them into my personal waifus. I've even made a few friends out of said trolls that way. :3 (Super nice to see I'm not the only one to use the more aggressive tactics. ;D)
7. Well that could always be worked out OOCly, but it could also lead to some delicious, delicious IC drama. >
8. You could always have a network of people to carry out your prophecies. Like, say, you warn someone to be wary of the color red. A few days later someone who wears all red, or has a red tattoo joins their RP group and starts to bring all sorts of conflict. This way, players coming to you would be sort of accepting a random quest they'd have to complete. It'd be hard to pull off (loooots of organization) but it would be super cool if done properly.
