Making a wiki page specifically for your character that you can toss at people in game, or shove in your Signature. But this feature is only unlocked after a certain point in the 'main' storyline. Around level 15.

...I have my left ear pierced. (SUCH A BADASS) and an amazing tattoo that I feel like I'll regret in a couple years. There's no way in hell you're getting pictures, but it's essentially just the letters "Z-Z-Z-Z" in a wavy floaty pattern (Pure Debauchery I know) . This is another one of those times I feel like I'm clogging a thread with my nonsense... Good thing I quit WoW when GW2 came out! - And let's all just hope GS doesn't evolve in FFXIV. We already have enough server capacity issues, thanks! I second this motion! My roommate is leaving, so I'm all alone for the next 10 days, and I can -only- read when I'm alone (It's a personal issue, dun judge) So I'm probably going to do my best to finish "Dwarves" by Markus Heitz which is a -very- good book if you like Magic and crap. It's like... Lord of the Rings, except about a Dwarf instead of Frodo.

My Ex moved to Moon Guard, from what I heard it's pretty awesome for RP, you just have to avoid GS. Annd from my experience, I never RP'd in GS to begin with anyways.. Probably because I was Horde... Hrmmm.. AND JOVE! I'd say VI (Because, I mean, 8-bit Opera, Ultros, and Kefka? Duh.) Oooor VIII, but I'm bias because the previous FFs kinda hurt my eyes with their 1980s graphics... and FFVI is my nostalgia thingy, so there's that.

Nahue, that was exactly what I thought of when I saw the forum title. I was about to do the exact same thing. So thank you. I am keeping busy with a Marathon game of Civ V, and the occasional game of League of Legends with my roommate... Thankfully Civ V eats my time like a Hippo, so it's going by rather quick.

I'd wait it out. At the moment the only servers avalible are the 3 new ones they literally just released today. It's likely those 3 won't be as populated come launch day. Sooo I'd suggest just waiting. After all, today is the final day of beta anyways. So even if you did make a character, you wouldn't get very far =P

1. Uhhmm, difficult to say... Usually because I'm a doormat of a person I let them get away with it, because I don't really care. Unless it's something -big- then I'll probably poke them about it. 2. Storyline RP scenes are usually the exact same thing. The great thing about RP is you have a -direction- not a goal. So you essentially conjure an idea, toss it around to the people involved, and then run with it. If you plan out everything, (Especially the ending) WELL, I say you might as well go write a book. 3. Unsure of what you mean... If someone is ICly 'bad' at fighting, will they be purposefully be 'bad' at fighting OOCly? That's... totally up to the player, but I don't see the point of crossing the streams. I can be a badass lancer OOCly and be a horrible Conjurer ICly if I wish. (I could totally be reading the question wrong, I apologize!) 4. Now that, is a hard one. This ranges from person to person, some people view 'Resurrection' as taboo in RP. Even if we -can- do it with the game's mechanics, it seems silly to just bring someone back from the dead, That would make ALL the wars in lore pointless as well as all IC battles. However, in my opinion it should be avoided at all costs, and I never do it (Mainly because I never get into situations where my character dies!) But if you must, or want to. I'd say, take a penalty for it to make it a bit more impactful. Maybe, the person casting Raise is completely drained for a week and has to recover! 5. Standing up... Don't ask.

A group of us are RPing on Tiamat in Ul'dah if you wana come waste time~. We're down by the side bar thing in the back of the Airship place.
