Hi and Welcome! To answer your #3: I have not seen too much of a difference between RP on ps4 vs a computer. All my previous mmo RP experience has been on a computer. The biggest difference is that you will most likely want a Bluetooth keyboard to connect to your ps4. For me, I have a wireless one about the size of my 10 inch tablet, but some people have a full sized keyboard. I would suggest finding what works best for you. I got mine for about $15 off of Amazon, it is a bit flimsy but using it on a lapboard somit is fully supported solves its issues. Just make sure if you get a wireless one to charge it between gaming sessions, as I have had mine die mid-type when doing a lot of chatting. Having the keyboard has helped the most, even people I know who don't really rp get one just to help with any chats. With that I will warn that you may be slower responding to chats as you have to switch between keyboard and controller. Otherwise you will still be memorizing keyboard shortcuts for emotes (if they are not assigned to your hotbar), typing for the RP, etc just like with the computer. There are some quirks with controller, like trying to walk vs running, but you will get a feel for that as you go.

Hi, I am working on getting a RP linkshell going on Faerie. Also looking at making a cross server linkshell to help connect Aether for RP. So there is RP on Aether, it just does not seem to be as organized or advertised. (I have been on Faerie for 2 years this August and havent seen it, but have seen enough Fc's with RP tags to know it exists.) If you plan on sticking around on Aether let me know and I will get you in the cross-world linkshell when I get it made.

This led to the formation of the Knightmare, which she runs for Adventurers of all types, providing them housing, rest, supplies, and a job board. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I match to who I am role-playing with and the situation Views on RP combat and injuries: I have not done much with RP combat and injuries but am open to all but death (unless I decide it is time the character must die). However please talk with me first if more serious to permanent injury. Things that might happen in “normal” conversation, like getting punched accidentally are expected (well if it matches the rp). Views on IC romance: I am open to this as long as there is clear communication OOC. Also, there will be no carry over into IRL, if this happens or things start getting weird, no more romance. There must be chemistry between the characters. My characters can sometimes be terrible flirts and that might be all they want. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I am pretty open to this, though please talk with me about familial. Definitely my characters will form friendships and maybe even rivals or adversaries. Views on lore: I try to stay within the lore, but I also am no expert on it. If i ak unsure about something i will generally ask or look it up. Reminders or corrections of lore are welcome. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I have/do use all of the above. (( )) for ooc stuff. Mostly keep to /s and /em, though if in more of a public setting that dont want to lose chat will do /p or /tell. Shared /linkshell I see for use more as a linkshell for RP or for event use. Hiya! I go by the name Obscura, my main is Vex'zjarr Obscura on Faerie where I happily (most the time) run an FC called The Knightmare, that my goal is to be more of an RP free company with the equivalent of a player ran levemete/bounty board. I am new to RP in FFXIV, though I have been playing since August 2017. I am not new to Role-play or mmorpgs. I have done play-by-post forum RP, LARP, and RP in mmorpgs for around 12 years now. A good chunk of that was fairly dedicated RP when I was part of a triumvirate in a Role-play focused cross-faction Guild(s) in SWTOR for 3 years, including running storylines and other rp events. I stopped participating in RP after I stopped playing a couple years ago and after I had a couple of bad RP experiences. However, it has been awhile, and I was recently reminded of the many good RP experiences I have had. I miss roleplaying and want to give it a try again! I would consider my rp type to be medium to heavy. I am open to various rp, but please talk to me about it first. I do have some real life health issues that sometimes interferes with my ability to RP, specifically some anxiety that I am working on. Also, a physical health condition that will sometimes require me to drop what I am doing immediately to treat, though I am usually back within 20 minutes from that. I will try to give warning when I go afk at those times. I would be happy to explain more in private before rping. So I would appreciate patience from those who are willing to RP with me. I do have a linkshell on Faerie, but it is not rp specific. I am looking for either a RP linkshell for Faerie or even an Aether one.
