Bloodwillow never sleeps. She ran the whetstone over the blade of her axe slowly in one direction, occasionally checking her work. Her ears picked up a sound in the main room, and she stood, hefting her axe. Walking over the small bed, she poked Lucy awake. "Trouble." "Hm? What?" The lalafell blinked, stretching in a yawn. "If so, let us be off then!" The pair moved into what once could call chaotic. Kayle was escorting an unknown woman to one side of the room with Desmond facing off some men at the door. She noticed Fae positioned by the window. Hefting Lucy onto her shoulder, she rested her axe with ease on the other and stood a few feet behind Desmond, ready in case anything happens.

I have RPed healers in many games, from EQ through to LoTRO (where there was no magic. That was fun) The thought of a person getting ill or passing out from over exertion in order to save someone's life could be an interesting RP piece. Here is now I see magical healing. It comes from the gods, sure enough. But to me, one must ask for it yet sacrifice something in return. So, for example, Defilers in EverQuest 2 are healers. Their heals actually harm them in order to heal the other person. So in essence they sacrafice their own life essence to keep others alive. In LoTRO, where there is no real magic, Lore Masters would use powders and the like. Mine used a medieval-like healing kit of leeches, bandages, poultices etc. The healer alt I have in FF14 is how I described above. She is young but cares for people of all races deeply. If someone is near death, she will over exert her healing to the point of passing out, as she gives her own life energy in exchange for her patron deities' gift. Of course, one could RP over the years (levels etc) that her training has assisted in not affecting your character as poorly. Perhaps they are an alchemist and make basic poultices that could deal with minor injuries? So many possibilities! Death is something very different I think. I guess one could look at it on one's belief system. I believe all have a soul, and at the moment of death there is a small window where one's soul can be put back into the body. Of course, losing one's head makes coming back a bit .. difficult. That's why I never argue with a person if they don't want permadeath. I mean we have Phoenix Downs and the like ... pulled off of a phoenix! (I guess >.>)

This has always been a major pain when dealing with MMOs I can say in EQ2 for example, when we would have maintenance in the US at times when we were sleeping (like 5am) Europe and Asia would be up and wanting to play. They try to do it during times when the least amount of the playerbase is on, but that never wins with anyone either! I am happy they are doing this, and truly hope they consider server transfers, even for a week, so people can move around onto the new worlds.

Okay I now know where I can find that gear! Kayle made me a set, Weavers can do it. Looks exactly like the Mi'qote starting gear. Once I get into game I'll post the name in case anyone is interested.

I didn't really look into this type of racial background that much. My fem roe is big, strong, and a marauder. So would assume she could take a beating and isn't afraid to break a table with her fist.

The situation does need to be remedied through Square Enix, but that doesn't mean players can't do anything to make it easier for others while Square is working on the problem. People will do what they do, and they'll also say what they say, so get a thicker skin. I'm not "taking it out" on anyone. I'm trying to help a shitty situation by suggesting that everyone lend a helping hand to their fellow gamer, and give them some time to play the game, too. We all paid for it but some of us haven't even been able to play. This is a logical matter, not a personal one. There's always someone on every thread who doesn't seem to know the difference. I haven't attacked anyone with my thread. I offered a helpful suggestion. If people want to find offense in it, they're going to find offense in it. At this point, I don't care anymore EDIT: You know, I had an entire thing to put here filled with anger. Because that's all I ever seem to read. And now I am being personally attacked. Yes, I don't have a thick skin. Sue me. But that doesn't give you the right to be offensive and rude. Because all it has become is a thread of anger, negativity, and personal attacks. For me, and the way I was "brought up" in MMOs, you don't spam that sort of thing. You wait between 30min to an hour. Drive by pickups are a no go as well. Ugh, random invites are just annoying. Most people I find who spam such messages or invites, are just looking to have numbers of people and not quality. If they truly are disruptive in your chat, you can try asking them to wait a bit more (as it never hurts to ask) or just blacklist them for some time.

Depends on the person. I picked up all the classes for Bloodwillow but only her MRD and ARM count as IC until I get WAR. Anything else she does is completely OOC. Mainly for cross class skills

This is why these topics need to END. All I see are people getting pissed off cause they can't log in and taking it out on each other in posts ... and screw the "get a thicker skin" crap people have said to me. People will do what they do. Point your anger and fingers at the situation that needs to be remedied through Square Enix not at each other.

Negativity seems to be setting in reading some posts. Kinda feels like everyone is angry about not playing, but don't take it out on each other and their opinions. :cry: Such a touchy subject.
