I have gotten into the habit of not seeing my characters as part of the main storyline in games. maybe spatters of it. Because, I mean, if that's the case there are thousands of people going though the same thing. That's what bothers me with main stories saying you are a "chosen one" or "special" ... like so many other people. So I have a basic slate and just build it up from there. Boring I know As for the primals, I can totally see a group hearing rumors of one and seeing if it is true.

That's why it is a thing of mine not to get angry at a person but their actions. I am not angry at any one person at SE. I'm angry and what seems to be inaction on their part and many other things (in their control or out) with the snafus happening. Eh .... I still love the game. Seriously. I have been popping around in my head to actually stop playing a game I have had for 7+ years because FF14 is so new and fresh to me. That speaks volumes.

I. Basic Info Characters: Uldefyn Bloodwillow Primary character: Uldefyn Bloodwillow Linkshells: Driftwood Coast, Coalition OOC, Limitless Sky Primary RP linkshell: I don't use LS to RP in. Too chaotic. The only exception is my FC's LS II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium to Heavy Views on RP combat and injuries: Depends on the person. I have been known to cripple characters I have to give more to their story. But I will never be forced to take an injury. As for RP combat, I am open to all kinds (rolls, duels, emotes, etc). Communication is always key to everything. Views on IC romance: Go for it. I'm all for it as long as people separate IC and OOC. Communication is everything! Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I have not been into many RP with family ties. Mainly because they never last very long. I'd be willing to entertain any thoughts on it though. Views on lore: I don't know much of it. I am not a "lore nazi" though. Feel free to bend things if you need to (as everyone shouldn't stick to the main game's story ... kinda boring) but I will call you out if you talk about things not of FF lore (no lightsabers!) Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Personal preference what people want to use. I will respond to anything said to me. III. This. Did two dungeons today. CONSTANTLY got DCed and 90k errors through both dungeons. Talk about frustrating, yet some arse stays in one spot in Limsa for hours on end. Meh.

Yeah don't think they will reopen for a time. Which sucks. I can tell you Faerie is getting popular as a few Twitch TV streams have those people on that server. So many new players have been heading there to go into the LS and the like.

Trust me when I say the server cap problem is WAY more than just people staying AFK. While I commend your effort in this posting the REAL problem is SE low expectations of how many NA-EU people would play. They took the worst approach to the situation I admit I am in game now while AFK for dinner. And I also have been plagued with constant DC and error 90k issues. So like everyone else I'd like to stay in game as long as I can. Cause when I am kicked out I'm out the rest of the day and night. Hate me if you want I can't stop you. Patience and time this will get fixed

Yeah I made another char on Coerul (sp) as my husband already had a char there. Light pop so can have fun if Gil is full

I'm out of this thread. Made some suggestions it were ignored or put down and that upsets me as I feel I am being lumped in with others from Gil and their opinions. All this is causing more stress and negativity which is being directed at others. I won't be coming back here so if you want to reply you can do so in PM Enjoy the game and RP how ever you want. This is only a viable solution for people who don't mind having a separate character for RPing, with the knowledge that their time will be split, and that character's mobility and physical presentation will be very limited due to mechanical restrictions. In other words, it's not a very good solution except for a small subset of the population. Then I'm sorry for suggesting it ... /sigh And yes I haven't been on more than and hour TOTAL this entire P4/EA. I won't leave Gil because I fell in love with Driftwood Coast. I have a character on Balmung but the entire time I could stay on there it was quiet. No RP or anything so I didn't know what was going on and it was wieeeeeerd. Gil was lively for that hour or so. Honestly, if you all want to move RP to another server, then do it. Why do you need this forum's blessing? It already states in http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com/showthread.php?tid=2633 People have already given suggestions ... look through them and make a choice. Overall it's how you personally enjoy the game.

I think their post was more directed at people who're acting like it's the end of MMOs as we know it. People have a right to be a little frustrated and upset, but they should also be aware that this is very typical of an MMO launch. It's gunna happen, it's happened before and it won't even be the last time. To be honest, most head starts are just a tricky way of continuing beta with the live severs. It's a final check before launch more than anything. So in short, everyone needs to simmer down. It's all going to beeeee okaaaaay. No I want to rage in here. It won't be okay damn it! I don't understand why people post like this in a topic meant to help people just vent. Makes no sense. *sighs* Aaaanyway, I've still been getting the "can't connect to NA/EU servers" all day. So husband been playing Saint's Row 4 and I've been checking forums and watching tv mainly. Hoping it's better tomorrow.

Heh I rolled on both Gil and Bal and they have been locked/ no servers found all day for me. So I ain't be havin feeern! I'm still fleshing out Bloodwillow, but I think this will help me fill out more for her wiki too. Ah I used this when making my SWTOR character and really think it is helpful. Bloodwillow sat down across from the young hyur reporter, watching him gape at her a few moments. Finally he began to speak in a shaky voice, asking her a few questions.

Gods are a fickle bunch in many games. Just from what I watched of the video out there, my guess is they knew what was coming at least in the stance of a battle and did all they could to call and appease each deity in hopes of them lending their aid. Seriously, the part when they used their power to "try" and hold Bahamut was fricking epic ... shame it didn't work. :cry:

Well all servers are being slammed with a low pop cap to test the DF .... There is nothing wrong with saying "Hey wanna just meet on another server and RP until we can make out people on Balmung or Gilgamesh?" You can save your character appearance, so that is already a few saved steps for when you make it on Bal or Gil. Then when they come back up, make your char and then continue your RP I guess for me though, RPing has nothing to do with levels. I enjoy RPing as much at level 1 here as I do on my level 95 on EQ2. The only exception is the places you can RP in. That's it. Just my 2 cactaurs :cactuar::cactuar:

If you don't mind me adding, I hope there will be more mentors on the Gilgamesh server. Last I counted were 3, but they seemed to all be in the Coalition OOC LS. More would really help though!
