But, and no offense to anyone, there are many players who log in and stay AFK (since no kick out timer) for hours on end. So makes me wonder which is the lesser of 2 evils in that regard. Spouse and I won't be able to get in today more than likely. Shame, but I decided to fall last night and have contusions (splintered fractures) on my left hand in boredom ... I guess .... *icepacks hand*

Sorry for dropping out of the RP in Limsa ... Got hit with the dreaded 90000 error and can't log back in. *sighs* Servers prolly coming down again as the main site is down as well.

There is an rp community playing on Behemoth but most of them don't use this site they use the beta forums. Just be patient though the game right now is going through maintenance for three hours when it comes back up I'm sure you will be able to get into Gilgamesh and when you do get in be sure to hit me up for the linkpearls for the chat channels. You weren't around to be friended for the ls this morning. Will try again later

I'm just going by the rules of the forums I read. /shrugs. I just found it a bit aggressive so first thought to stay away. Especially on an intro forums. But good luck as a villain

Thought I would add this here as I didn't see this on Doc's list: [NA] Error 3035 Occurring While Creating New Character (Aug. 23) http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/65234-NA-Error-3035-Occurring-While-Creating-New-Character-%28Aug.-23%29 We have identified an issue where in some cases on the Create New Character Screen and clicking the "UPDATE" button on the World Selection Screen, an error message that says "The lobby server connection has encountered an error 3035", and new Character creation cannot be done. When this error appears, we ask our players to either restart the client program, or go back to the Title Screen once and go through the new Character creation process again. What's the limit on the linkshells? Sorry all this is new to me. If anyone is interested in making a new LS I'd be into that. I apologize, I don't do Skype for reasons ranging form having my voice made fun of to being sexually harassed on it and if I get forced into it because I can't get into an OOC/RP linkshell I'd be sad. :cry:

Apparently so as EQ2 trolls THRIVE on trolling rpers. There is an entire guild dedicated to do so. They say in channel they will during events or any RP at all I personally stand by my point to ignore and report trolls. Never ever have I seen or been part of acknowledging a troll and their actions as a good thing afterwards. They always escalate and get worse As I said each their own and I agree that people should not hide their RP behind closed doors But last I'll say about that as not my intention to start any war. If any troll gets their rocks off over a hug or a handshake or something then they are a bad troll. In EQ2 we had and entire guild troll our RP events. What did we do? Got together, reported them, ignored their antics and watched a GM come and kick them offline. We didn't leave, we didn't acknowledge them in the degree you stated (as those who did made the trolls do even WORSE things) and enjoyed our event. So yes it is all subjective. If following this works for someone go for it. Take what you feel from it and find what works for you.

Sorry going to be more interested in figuring out the game then trying to get there. Maybe can do in a few weeks. :cry:

I'm not sure why anyone would call hugging a friend or loved one in public ERP. Makes no damn sense. I hug in MMO all the time. Also been ignoring and reporting trolls since 2001. I never acknowledge or drop to their level and works for me. I guess each their own.

It wasn't easy to pick a server for me and the spouse. We wanted RP and we also wanted to be situated before head start. We looked around and both servers were always locked. I ended up liking a guild shown here on Gilgamesh and made my char literally 15 minutes before head start ended.

I've personally run into this issue previously. Leave no man behind! Please review again, apparently not all of the text was caught on my first attempt. I shall make sure to loot them first /shifty eyes
