I know! That onion helm looks ridiculous especially compared to the untamed glory that is dem goggles! I *was* going to just shell out another 50 bucks to get the code for the goggles and try and get my friend into the game... but I read that your character only gets special items if they are created AFTER the key has been used. So unless I can master time travel between now and 9/22 there is no way I can take advantage of early access and have those nifty goggles. I guess I should keep my eye open for blue police boxes >.>

The thing about the bazaar system that looks bad to me, is the fact that you have to go to everyone's store looking for what you want. No search system seems bad to me... I wonder if they will have little text flags giving you an idea of what kind of gear is available? Like in Aion. On one hand, yah, that could be cool depending on how people set it up. But I always remember the bazaars in FFXI... with like one head of million corn for like 100,000 gil and NOTHING else useful... But if people actually put up good items, then maybe it can be an interesting way to handle the economy. But even as my mind wanders, I think how neat it would be to find a retainer for a really high quality craftsman. Then when you need that type of good, you go right to his or her retainer. In fact, that is how a lot of people sold goods in Star Wars Galaxies. I remember going to specific player cities because I knew I would find what I wanted for reasonable prices.

I'm looking forward to the early access, and the map in the journal hopefully will be cool. The rest is just bonus as far as I'm concerned. It's too bad, because they could have thrown in some neat things. Back in the day some games came with fancy cloth maps and other useless things just for the 'cool' factor. I still have the medallion I got from a Lunar game made by Working Designs.

Hmm, I think role playing is dangerous. I heard about people being kidnapped and forced to create a back story. Scary stuff! All nonsense aside, I have never role played. But in ANY game I played, whenever I saw open role playing it just enhanced the experience for me. Especially when it was well done. It's because I enjoyed those observing those little moments why I decided to try and give role playing a chance this time around. SO if the worst that will happen is people who hate role players decide to role a different server, that just sounds like a win/win situation.

The auction house and 48 hr coo ldown on leves really annoys me. I hate that they are trying to force the people to play a specific way. If the Bazaars are good, they will stand on their own merit. But if they are garbage (as it sounds to be) then put in an AH so there can be some kind of economy. I really like the old AH, I don't know why they would abandon it. As far as the leves you got to be kidding. 48 hours? That sort of stuff really makes me afeared about this game. Why do something so annoying to your customer base? To FORCE group play? Why not just incentive group play by allowing better missions with better rewards and XP?

I've had younger members in guilds before. Usually, one of their older relatives was already a member, and brought them in to the guild. For the most part, chat was kept pretty clean and profanity was at a minimum. From that perspective, as long as the kid could act mature enough, there was no problem at all. On the other hand, if a guild/linkshell/company didn't want to have to worry about the content of their conversations I could easily see why they wouldn't want a youngster there. I've seen mature kids, and grandparents. Overall, I think the individual determines maturity, not how old they are. Luckily, there is the RPC. There are so many different linkshells out there, everyone who wants should be able to find a place to belong. Even the little brats.

I've been trying to finalize a character name just wondering if the game has any restrictions I should know about? For example punctuation and capitalization. For example: N'ame BrainStorming Would the game force me to enter that as: Name Brainstorming?
