I'm aware of them, I have already spoken to those in the group when I first transferred into balmung and with a brief response, but nothing in game (even when reaching out), so my statement still stands lol I may have very well just caught them at a busy time or times didn't match up or maybe even some of my messages just never reached them, but outside of seeing their stuff in the forums... going in the game itself I didn't catch so much as a whisper of other garlean rp'ers and that's what I'm basing my original comment on primarily. lol of course i'll also be the first to admit that just because I didn't see/hear it, didn't mean it wasn't there. Just nothing I witnessed. only emphasizing that if it was as common as it was suggested, yanoo haha There are indeed a ton of undercover Garleans out there (you just don't see them because they're undercover *cough*cough*). Then again, there was a group of them who would just discuss Garlean-y things in the middle of taverns. Probably not the best way to approach that. well when I was referencing finding other garleans, I wasn't meaning icly specifically lol that would just be silly Of course, it was a (failed) joke! But there are those who don't like to advertise it even OOC for fear of metagaming. ya unfortunately that's an unchanging issue no matter what community one slips into :c

a million undercover garleans? hell if I had even gotten a chance to find another garlean rp'er i'd of been lucky lol either way, I never saw word of dragoons being special snowflakes *shrugs* so can't help ya there.

to be honest I chose miqo'te just because I was stoked there was finally a male option since I played a mithra in ff11. I enjoy the female roe's and male elezen too though and have two unused avatars made of those races as well.

few updates

welp, whether or not I got any serious responses my new job takes up practically all of my free time in a day now. by the time I get home I am waaay too fricken tired to do much else besides shower, catch up on basic web stuff or just go and collapse into bed. With that being said I'm probably going to be cancelling my subscription simply because it would just be taking money, yet I have no time for it yet again. Was nice meeting the few that responded and hanging out with others. Happy RP trails.

fortunately for this argument, men also have nipples there are also plenty of materials that nipples don't show through. but I digress, isn't this thread 'suppose' to be about the theory of the main races being mammals? not so much nipples and the game models? which we've already solidly established as fact? screw this, let's get to layin' those pods

Well given the things you 'do' see and come across in game, it's heavily influenced that the races are generally mammal. I'm not too sure why they'd suddenly decide to take these fairly mammalian looking races and decide "oh ya they're gunna lay eggs, but we're not gunna touch on that at all evn though they seem mammal cause we can"

Well what I do know is there are pure bloods with the token signs of such, adopted and even those born Garlean but without the token signs as pure bloods. Heck saying there 'are' pure bloods is an immediate assumption there are types of Garleans that aren't pureblood and it would be unnecessary imo to say if it were just pure vs adopted. So whether it's a trait or heritage I couldn't say, but I don't see why breeding between different societies isn't possible or hasn't already happened. It would be sort of silly to assume nobody has at any point. War and conflict does tend to create some very heated scenarios after all *waggles brows* As far as being a magic using garlean in any sense of the word. I do believe that even if Garlean is a small, half or less trace in your line... that gene that hinders their use of magic still carries with them as a dominate gene. Maybe with enough outside influence the gene would be worked out of the primary dominate gene pool, but it would never truly go away and might even pop up in a later decendent... man, would suck for them hahaha

the fun part about that are potential bounty hunters haha who needs 'authority' pssshhh and as noted before by others, while the thought and intention of a sort of 'criminal' directory is all well and good and has amazing potential for positive rp use, it's just way too easy for someone to accidentally 'and' purposefully abuse it. I have seen things like this used really well before, but I've seen them more often abused. What I think is a better approach is having an information broker (if there isn't any character like that already) and people that are bounty hunters or even military companies or groups could find these contacts if they haven't encountered these characters before and just go through finding out that information through IC means instead of a list. would encourage players to be a lil more attentive to their rp and sweeten reaching for rp outside of usual circles. I can see that, yes. Perhaps the best avenue is posting an individual contact request? I certainly would not want a walk up in this case, as the hunter has to obtain some out of character info to make the pursuit more logical. Funnily enough, everyone who knows is strangely okay with Tallera's crimes. "Wuuuuut you stabbed those people? That's okay you had a good reason right?" These are the same adventurers clobbering literally anything if its in a leve. sounds about right lol I think the other side of the 50/50 spectrum is that people don't want to deal with the confrontational rp

It's easily doable, and I've done it myself in several mmo's before. Just gotta find those willing to run it as well as capable of running and rp'ing it

i'll lurk about some and should you ever want a chance to rp just lemme know and i'll meander on by sometime I have a bad habit of getting caught up in the grindmode lol

To elaborate a little more on eshkin's current state... Eshkin as a character is a loyal garlean despite his circumstance. However while he's a soldier, he's also a bit of a tinkerer of sorts. Not so much mechanic, though he has dabbled in magitek repairs before, but less on vehicles and more on communications and with his time in Eorzea growing, he finds interest in 'tinkering' with some of the primitive devices he comes across as well to be a good use of his downtime. His interests do and will evolve through rp, but all in all, for now he's trying to keep low and take advantage of being relatively blended into Eorzean society until the day comes where he has to deal with his brethren and what troubles that brings. Figuring that showing up with something worthwhile would prove more beneficial to proving his innocence (knowing that all that time missing would cause trouble for him in the long run) than showing up empty handed. as a player I am all about running things as the meatshield. So while I'm still trying to re-familiarize myself with the dungeons and such again, feel free to add me in game and hit me up

oh of course, that's the fun in it. unfortunately there are so many servers that it's tough getting a chance to even run across one person when the map is as enormous as it is. On average if I don't spawn near water as a guideline or come across a compass near the beginning of my respawn I get myself killed until I do and can take up to 20-30 minutes to find someone if we're specifically looking for one another. It's a fairly addictive game though
