Oh that game... Aion had so much potential. It's unfortunate it went under and is now F2P. Anyway, I spend some of my time in Diablo III and Guildwars 2. But, I mostly play Super Street Fighter 4 AE v.2012. Got a tournament season to prepare for next year. Looking forward to Elder Scrolls and, as much as I generally hate Blizzards foray into the MMO world with WoW, I am eager to see their new MMO. It's been super duper top secret for a few years now, but they are working on something. And it's a completely new thing, not based on any of their other franchises. Despite how much I hate WoW, I can't deny it's success. If that's any indication, I bet their new MMO will top more than a few charts when we finally get it. And also, because of stupid people stealing source code and costing NCsoft an estimated $1billion in damages, we have to wait even longer for this little gem: Lineage Eternal (aka Lineage III) [video=youtube] :cry:

Well, from the wireless on my mac, after 10 pings sent to the server i have an average of 95ms ping. Not bad, not horrible. Better than what we were sometimes getting in the early days of v.1.0, eh? also I live in San Diego CA

What if our characters aren't in the age group but we want to participate? Does that mean we can change the age of our characters or make a new one just for this instance?

I've been around on the RPC for three years, but the only time I ever really RP'd was in the original 1.0 beta test and before this game I never really RP'd in anything. I mean, I've participated in a few forum RPs here, but those kind of die out after a while and can get confusing when there's tons of people around. So, if someone would like to mentor my inexperienced self, I would be eternally grateful. /friendrequestsent

The dev team has out done themselves yet again! I'm really interested in seeing what the 'horror' emote looks like. And if version 1.0 is any indication, macro's will be a cinch to create.

I work as an editor/Digital Imaging Technician (DIT) in the film industry, so the more RAM the merrier. :lol:

I understand that, believe me. However, this computer survived a few other benchmarks that were more...harsh. lol And I won't be running the game at 1920x1080. A lower resolution that I've yet to pick and windowed. In ran even better than the above test @720 on maximum.

In my experience, and I've only RP'd on the forums, It's usually good to go dressed for the occasion, so to speak. If you need to change class in the middle of an RP to suit a certain situation, I have a few suggestions on how to go about that. Take my character, Caden, for example. He has two main classes; Archer and Gladiator. Now, carrying a bow and a sword around at the same time is rather simple and convenient. I can have him, obviously, carry his sword in a sheath at his left hip and his bow can be slung over his shoulder, across his back. Rather than having his quiver slung over his back, I like to have it affixed to his waist -through his belt- at a slight angle so the arrows are at a fast and easy position to reach with his right hand. It's also a little easier to conceal if he's wearing a cloak. And even though I'd use it in the game to obviously train the Gladiator class, in an RP situation Caden will not have a shield. Carrying much more than that can be come quite cumbersome, but lets say down the road I would like him to also be an efficient Pugilist. I can have his Cesti affixed to his belt at his right hip so I effectively have three classes I can change to at a moments notice. It's also worth noting that in FFXIV you can use skills from other classes, so say if you're a Gladiator, you can use white or black magic or other skills from other classes. Try tying this into your character. If he/she is a Black Mage, but you're running around with a sword, remember that not all your Black Mage abilities are lost just because you aren't that class. It may not always be necessary to change classes on the fly when you have access to borrowed skills.

Gamestop hasn't been made aware of the release date or the collectors editions, so they aren't available for pre-order yet. But you can pre-order the base version of the game for PC and PS3. I just did mine today and am keeping an eye out for when they finally allow pre-orders for the CE.
