I'm a firm supporter of photoshop alterations and doing your own thing with screen shots and what not. Though there are one or two out there who don't think that way -I was subject to a little bit of scrutiny on that end- but that's ok! I can't really draw either so I just alter my screenshots with photoshop. Something can be said for that. You've got to have an eye for composition when doing stuff with photoshop and that in itself, to me, is artistic. So keep on keepin' on!

Working in the film industry has it's advantages! In case you didn't know, I do lighting and electric for film and television (when I can find work, it's been kinda slow lately). But earlier in the week I got hired on for the last two days of a movie called "Extraction". It has such actors in it as Danny Glover, Vinnie Jones and this guy: After this picture, I was grinning ear to ear for about an hour afterwards -yes that's me- as I'm a HUGE Lord of the Rings fan and not to mention that Rudy and Goonies are two of my all time favorite films. And to top it off, Sean Astin is a super cool dude. When he was wrapped on his last day on set, he came around and shook all the crew member's hands and thanked them for a job well done. Most actors are like that, but not all. After Vinnie Jones was done, he just up and left right away. He's a super nice dude, but he doesn't like to hang around for any period of time. Oh, and to give you some idea of just how tall Sean is, I'm exactly 6' tall.

Both Isaac and Ailith are 27 at the start of ARR. Neither took the time skip. Ailith is still out to sea and Isaac is out and about in Eorzea. I've been reallllly busy lately so I haven't really gotten to flesh out what either of them have been doing for the last five years, but I'll get to it before ARR is released.

*squees like a child* Gimmeh! :3 A very interesting read at that. Some stuff was covered in there that wasn't covered in the last Live Letter. I'm getting more and more excited for this game as time progresses and more content is leaked to us!

Isaac's sister, Ailith, is alive, but she left Eorzea before the calamity. Where she is exactly even I don't know ;p

I was just at Disneyland a week ago and I went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. I gotta hand it to Disney, they sure know how to make animatronic mannequin's look real! (some of them anyway.) Also, super stoked about Limsa Lominsa! Boat rides all around!

Good lord. These are fantastic! I can't wait to see some of the aforementioned time lapsed stuff! As always RPC-ers, keep up the excellent work!

Interesting... I'm curious if these guys will be playable on release or if we'll have to wait for a major update or expansion. Either way, I look forward to tinkering with this new race. I'm also super glad they did a hybrid race rather than just add the Viera or Bangaa straight from FFXII. Goin' old school while keeping things fresh. Props to the dev team! (also, I've been away working for a couple weeks...why is the RPC in pirate? Is it just me? lol)

My main is the Male kitty Seeker.

Your name is all wrong? lol, I'm sure they've never even heard the name Isaac (stupid Dead Space, gettin' me to like a name that has nothing to do with the games lore!)

Isaac watched as the guards ran past, now chasing a phantom. He looked back in front of him to address the young Miqo'te but frowned when he didn't see him. He quickly looked around and spotted him walking off in the opposite direction the guards had gone. Isaac made his way through the crowd, catching up with the youngster, and gripped the underside of his arm but made no attempt to lead him in any direction. He just wanted to make sure the stranger didn't try and dart off. After the crowd started to thin out, Isaac positioned himself directly next to the supposed thief. Looking down at him, he held out his hand. "Out with it. What did you steal that would warrant so many guards?"

I'm all for that. Not with my main, either, but definitely with an alt. :3

If I weren't broker than a dry twig underfoot, I would happily donate. Next time, though, I will most definitely contribute.

Again I wish I could draw! >.< Have so much stuff in my head but no where to vent it Nice artwork! Keep up the awesome!

Welcome to the RPC! :3 Speaking of preordering... if I get another spiffy leather bound notebook, I'll preorder another copy of FFXIV.

Roleplay got stagnant, people began leaving the game so I felt there was little reason to continue with it. Then when things started to swing back in I was going to pick it up, but many of the people I was drawing just never came back, so I ditched it in favour of my Circle Of Influence project ^-^ Thank you for the interest though~ Aww, well maybe one day it would be worth a revisit. :3

This thread is almost a year old. It was looking really good. What happened?

Welcome to our humble abode! Love the artwork! I feel a little outclassed by all the artists flowing around here as I can't draw.

Hello everybody. 6’2” Fernehalwes here. Have you ever secretly dreamed of being a Lalafell? Sure you have. Who wouldn’t want to possess a head 1/3 the size of their body, the ability to conceal themselves in empty ale kegs, and the power to melt hearts from a thousand paces? Well, recently there were a few designers on the FINAL FANTASY XIV development team who decided to make that dream a reality by creating life-size replicas of the new Lalafell race-specific equipment! (For those of you who don’t know, RSE is the gear each player starts off with in A Realm Reborn.) And here’s how they did it... First, the designs had to be finalized. These were handled by our art team (when they weren’t off gallivanting about Paris, Milan, or New York). Next, confidential-looking documents and scraps of fabric were strewn all over a table and frantically pointed at so everyone seemed busy when the producer walked by. Finally, several sleepless nights and thousands of dulled thimbles later, a prototype was complete! The hardest part, though, was finding someone small enough to fit into the frippery... Bingo! Just look at the subtle stone-washed fading of those taper-cut jeans. Marvel at the way the charcoal t-shirt caresses the gut, accentuating the model’s love handles. And the sassy white soles on those black canvas shoes? An exclamation point bringing the whole outfit togeth— Oh, the OTHER guy. I knew that. And while we’re on the topic of cosplay, FINAL FANTASY XIV fans in Great Britain, Germany, and France should check out the official A Realm Reborn Cosplay Competition for a chance to win some keychains or stickers(*) or something. And fear not, rest-of-the-world! We’re planning exciting contests for all of you as well, so stay tuned! Alrighty, then. That wraps up this installment of the Developers’ Blog. For the next installment, I’ll be bringing you revealing photos of Project Manager M’s night on the town in the sexy Miqo’te RSExduwefhd8475fyfnh54ifyu54ndhf458gf7y45gfbgnefegfuerfgere... Or maybe not... Fernehalwes (*) keychains or stickers = OMFG a trip to Square Enix headquarters in Japan!!!!!11!!

For me, Isaac will grow separately in RP than in game. Say I have four classes maxed out, those skills won't reflect on the skills he has in RP. Sure, he may learn new things, maybe a more powerful magic or what have you, but because I'm a lvl 50 black mage in the game, doesn't mean that Isaac will have those abilities in an RP setting.

Ooh, fancy! Can't wait to see 'em done :3

As the Hyur raised his Mace, Isaac took a step forward, releasing his sword partway from its sheath, about to voice a protest, but he wasn't quick enough. The mace came down with deadly intent as the Hyur quickly dispatched the Carbunkle. He cursed under his breath and drove his sword back into its scabbard then turned in the direction the young Miqo'te had run off. As the Hyur pointed in the direction of the fleeing young man, Isaac idly wondered what he could have stolen to warrant such a violent turn of events in the middle of the streets. In broad daylight. He took a quick glance at all the guards gathering, quickly taking stock of the situation, deciding what he would do. He should stay out of it now while he still could, he knew, but his attention was already drawn away from his task. It could wait. Without any further delay, he dashed off in the direction the young Miqo'te had gone. Isaac was tall and his long legs afforded him speed, but with all the people about he wasn't able to reach his full speed, having to dodge people here and there, but it wasn't long until he spotted the fleeing thief. As he gained on him, Isaac unfastened the button of his cloak at his neck. There was a brief opening in the crowd of people. Isaac took advantage with a quick, powerful burst of speed and was quickly on the heels of the Miqo'te. He would reach out to snatch the youngster by the collar, pull him to a halt then throw his cloak around him and push him into a throng of people gathered nearby to conceal him. "Stay still," He said over the noise of the people.
