Attached to the thread will be a IMG of the clan family tree, feel free to look. We are still looking for a base to make the next family from. I am really interested in attracted new role players or experienced for alts or mains. Maybe this can help. Hey Guys, It is me again, I recent;y saw the lack of keeper clans and decided to get off my ass about it and gather a few friends to start this up. As you can see the family tree has a lot of blanks or dead members. How I am doing this is that you can be 'adopted' into the clan if you are a tribally minded or seeking company. You will be adopted into one of three families - the Garanjy, the Molkots or the Polaali. For now we are still roleplaying discovering old remaining members, and are setting up a large pilgrimage plot and hunting plot to seek out the survivors. What I am asking is if anyone would be interested in playing any of the available characters, as the notes say above you can edit their appearances as long as you follow the parents genes. The characters can have any personality you wish. They are your character. The only thing decided is the LAST Name and 'general' appearance. Plots ongoing: (GM'd , no dice system) Hunting the Garlean assassin 'The Pilgrimage' - Searching for home 'The Pilgrimage' - The training 'The Pilgrimage' - The sabotage. Two things in reply Rosekitten 1. My best ever RP has always been from "drive by" as well as my best RP friends that followed. I just love free-form unstructured improvisation RP. Though I suppose I am quite adapt at coming up with hooks on the spur. Some are not and need ooc structure to create their RP "box". 2. I dislike OOC as it spoils the immersion for me. I stay IC as much as possible, even when doing mechanics and running or changing gear but in my head (and if you bump me) I am IC. I rarely have the OOC conversation with someone I am with unless something that required OOC commitment is needed like time, limits etc.. And I loathe OOC dissection if IC things and at times I feel some what this more than RP. So combine the two and add in prodding people and it can be good, with times of scarcity. On and a thought/reflection, I go to the big events people provide and bring my RP. I know that at least the people there want to RP (target rich) and it's a good way to touch a few people then have some follow ups later. Don't just go along with the event, use it as a facilitator for YOUR RP. really.. prod me if you see me.. anyone. We may RP hit it off or we may not. One thing about me that you may not like is I tend to oocly fangirl about possible directions. Like I like to be in party with who I am roleplaying with so I can stay stuff flike 'Ooh that so neat, kyaah~' (minus the Kyaah, im no that bad) or stuff like 'd'aww she is so cute! I love that reaction'

Well since day 1, I have interacted with as many people as possible, I whisper people using walk instead of run if they wanted to rp, people sitting alone if they wanted to. Though sometimes I get a scene or two its never really anything apart from idle chitchat and no one seems really interested in getting to know my character further. Even the people I moved from GW2 over with have found other groups and kinda left me out to dry plot wise. Even when I know Naih can help someone out with their plot or help with their character development they say 'omg yes, sure' and never initiate another time despite me implicitly saying: "TO contact me, just use the XY frequency on any linkpearl."

Good guys I agree there are many nice-minded character. Coming from GW and having played a character that was political intrigue and evilness all the time it wore me out so I made a 'good' character. From my previous experiences not many people could separate my IC actions from my OOC personality to the point where if my character had spies running a muck about the place people would oocly cuss me out or send me death threats etc. Hence my reasoning from sating away from any political drama. Jerks/Bad guys as I stated above, many people are very attached to their own characters and do not like any sort of negative reaction to them. People may see mean or jerkish characters actions as a personal attack and they generally are avoided by most people.

Hey I'm thankful for your reply. It would be interesting to get involved with a Sun Seeker tribe as I wished to of found a keeper tribe for my own character. But several threads and a failing LS later I've realised that no one really cares about tribal Miqo'te unless you're a sunseeker. Sadly; my character has a very SOUR opinion of sun seeker tribes due to one particular K' Nunh he has met. He doesn't approve of that tribe at all if they are putting such a person in command. Though I would definitely be interested in a one on one rp, maybe as an adventuring group?

Naih is icly is a training arcanist after being told by his mate he needs to learn how to defend himself - but then told not physically.. so he is learning how to heal. He more so 'befriends' his summons rather than contracting or calling them from the aether due to his deep connection with creatures of the wild. @Lament Yeah, I know the feeling. I've been blown off so often in the passed few weeks that it is starting to wear me down. I tried to set up personal progress rp with someone who wanted to take on a student. I contacted them once a day and it took them three weeks to tell me that they they didn't have time. This seems to happen with a lot of roleplay. I've learned now that if I want RP people need to offer it to me or else I come off as 'annoying', but the thing is my character isn't really desirable compared to a lot of other characters out there so I find myself pushed to the bottom of everyone's priority list. In guildwars 2 I was the one who planned all the guild events and plots but never could participate because I GM'd them. It was fun, but I never got to roleplay myself. I feel like the same thing is just going to happen again.

I like the Hyur character, he reminds me of the Spaniard from Princess bride. It would be perfect.

Hey guys. I've been experiencing some issues with getting into rp in general.. I have three major concerns to why this is as I have tested with other characters who seem to naturally become more loved with the same people. When I play a female character, I get much more roleplay. Instantly with the same or other groups. People don't want to roleplay with quiet bookish characters, or characters who are more neutral with their emotions. People want a character who over-reacts or is vibrant about X, Y, Z. If I offer to help it is instantly pushed aside for someone. If I set up plot, it is put aside for other rp with other people. Even after introducing myself and roleplaying for a few god hours, I wont be contacted again for further roleplay - by anyone. I've trialed runnng a few plots for myself and others to get involved with such as: IC Dungeons runs for 'research' or adventuring purposes. A plot dealing with poachers and chocobo chick thieves. Researching Leviathan. Not one of these plots gained any interest with anyone. I've tried joining multiple LS's, checking out for 'does anyone wanna rp' messages, but gradually i'm feeling this community is closed off and much colder than any i've been in before. Is there anything people can tell me that wont mean I have to rewrite my Keeper male?[/b]
