A gasp escaped the man as he buckled over due the sudden impact in his gut, the black blade easily being pulled from his hand as he tried to regain a decent breathing pattern still weakened due to the earlier injuries substained in the battle with the toxic toad. His expression turning into almost full hatred as he glared at Tobias while being pushed forward. "What the hell is this?" he barked at Tobias, Clavier's upper body glistening as it gets soaking wet in a matter of seconds. The brand of the Garlemand flag visible to both men that had taken a hold over Lorielle, his fingertips nervously rubbing together as if trying to figure out what to say exactly. A lie or a full on truth. "Fine. I used to be soldier for Garlean. Part of Gaius legion that normally stands firm over Ala Mhigo. But I deserted after we were ordered to round up a bunch of citizens and execute them for stealing food. In turn I was found and they decided to rather let me live but with a brand that would mark my wrongdoings as a soldier for Garlean. Making it impossible for me to make any sort of connection to anyone. I gave up a beautifull life because I couldn't handle a simple killing." During his words his speaking becomes more hushed but still audible above the clattering rain and thunder. The anger of Tobias betrayal still there in his tone, his head turning to look at both men, his feet digging into the wet sand.
-
The second the blade was drawn by Tarquin, Clavier took no hesistance in stepping forward a bit with his left hand raised to beckon the men to stop. "Hey.. No! Don't. What you two want?!", this time he shouted more to get above the sound of the raging thunder striking downward. The black sword in his right hand being lowered abit to the ground as if trying to put the two men at ease.
-
Clavier stepped forward as Lorielle appeared before him with arms forcing her in position. The black steel of his sword being revealed as it was pulled from the sheeth, in the night it would almost seem as if he was holding nothing but the drops slipped down along the blade and hilt. The lightning being reflected in it - "Are you okay, Lorielle?" By the tone of his voice it becomes audible that he was worried for her well being due her current predicament she found herself in at the hand of the highlander. Another huge flash accompanied by the thunder revealing most of the people in the vicinity of the caravan, everyone not within shelter by now soaked.

His shoulders rolled back as the first drops of rain fell down onto the sand and the cart. The green eyes shifting to cautiously check the dark land before them, "How is Amal'jaa activity around these parts?" he asked Draeyn with a concerned tone. The sleeping bag he got handed earlier by Lorielle still tucked under his arm as he turned around to fold it open across Kieara's sleeping bag with ease to provide her with more warmth. Why did you have to ask. Why ask about the Amal'jaa. Wasn't your first encounter not enough? His mind wandering between what the storm would bring along as a method to make this trip even more hellish then it already was. The sound of the two chocobo's alerting him to look over in their direction but the heavy rain only showing the shapes of the chocobo's and a single small eft scurrying inbetween them clearly having made a few steps in it's scurrying in fear due to the thunder striking down as a hammer on an anvil.

Got in contact with one of the custodians icly, really hope to become a part of this because it seems just amazing. But I can live with just roleplaying with you people without being a like full part of the Travelers Guild itself ^^

As the first thunder struck through Thanalan. Several small Eft's started to come from the shadows that the night had casted on the rocks and ground, most likely frightened by the sound of the thunder as they paid no attention to the occupants of the camp and merely ran through it. Clavier gripped onto the side of the cart to haul himself onto his feet, only a short gaze rested on Kieara within the cart moving the boxes into a sort of barrier against the heavy winds that the thunder brought along. With only a few steps he found himself in the back of the cart to assist Kieara with moving any crates still out of place into their most effective positions as a barrier. "Just a storm. It can't hurt you." Without any further words being given he stepped back down from the cart and stood down at the ladder, even though he had tried to give her some peace of mind he found himself reaching for the hilt of the shortsword. But a scared animal sure can. Clavier thought to himself as another small eft bumped into the cart before scurrying off as the sky and surrounding Thanalan was lit up by a single lightning that stretched down towards the ground.

As he rummaged through the bag for a few moments longer. The only things retrieved from it in the end was the green-ish jacket with a single Garlean insignia on the back. After placing his bag and the rest of it's contents back onto the cart, a frown took place on his face at the sight of the only person still sitting in the near vicinity was the driver who he didn't even know the name of due to lack of attention. The sand rising up around Clavier as he took a seat against the cart rather then directly seated at the warm fire. The green irises of his eyes shifting to look from Tobias and Kieara to Lorielle moving to collect more firewood.
-
As the pot hit the sand and it's water mixed with the sand almost immediately upon contact. His arm stretched out for it as she spoke, only able to utter a soft "I'm sorry.". the green irises scanning the sand while she moved back to the water source. Eventually he turned around on his heels and walked back to the caravan, stepping past the people seated around the campfire that was illuminating the shadows stretching out from the rocks and what was left of trees as the night started to take over for the sun. The brand representing Garlemald, the country of the Garlean empire now fully visible as the light was cast on the midlander's back as he hauled himself onto the cart to take hold of a bag he had brought along. With a loud thud it landed in the sand followed by another thud as he hopped down from the cart only to open the bag halfway, but enough to reveal several pieces of a Garlean soldier's uniform within. Only the jacket being retrieved as his hempen shirt hung to dry on the side of the cart, the midlander within this caravan either had a dark past or a dark future that intertwined with the path of the Garlean Empire.
-
As she stood up and wobbled back in the direction of the caravan so did Clavier. "I'm sure the other people traveling to Gridania with this caravan would be able to fend for their own. With or without me and let me before you totally spill all the water on yourself." he'd say as he steps along side her at a similar pace, his gaze resting on the hands holding on the pot. His right hand moving to rest just atop of her fingertips to take the pot over from her. Aware of the possible response, he tries to keep the touch as light as possible. A few drops of water dripping down from his still wet hair onto his wrist and eventually onto the sand.
-
His gaze tracked Kieara's movements and noticed her own look locking onto his upper back with curiosity. A light smile formed upon his lips as he turned his head to look at her as she addressed him, "I have no intention to lose my consiousness. I can still feel it's toll on me though." Both hands moving up through his black hair to comb it backwards, drops of cold water sliding down his neck. "What are you going to cook?" he'd ask her with the same light-hearted expression present. The water dripping from his hands as he scooped it up and splashed it onto his face.

"I had no intention to get some solid sleep. It's not wise for everyone to sleep in a place like this." What am I even doing.. His gaze shifted over to a small stream of water safely protected by rocks from the toxins of the dead toad laying not that far from it still unmoving with the arrows stuck within the carcass. Both hands gripping onto the collar of his hempen shirt as he pulled it over his head, hanging it on the edge of the cart. "Hopefully the water is cold enough." As he turned around to let his back face the companions he traveled with. A brand very similar to that of Garlemald flag of the Empire was visible on his upper back spreading from shoulder to shoulder. The sand rose from the ground as his feet dragged through it till he reached the small stream and sat down beside it.
-
His body stirred with his gaze shifting to Lorielle and Tobias. "They seem to be getting along nicely." he remarked while moving his hands through the hard sand before seemingly trying to get back on his feet. The effects of the toxins still seemingly still afflicting his physical condition as Clavier was forced to plant a hand against the cart to remain stable upon his feet. Both his gaze and mind wandered to the sky as he stood against the cart, "Why are you going back to Gridania?", the question was not just asked to Kieara but to most of his companions that traveled to Gridania. Fingertips idly tapping into the wooden side of the cart.
-
His body shifted to side against the cart rather then away from it, keeping a somewhat decent talking distance from Kieara. "I feel weak. Makes me wonder if it was the wisest decision to go so close to that toad even with a bow which is now gone." - both green irises concealed as his eyes fall shut, the hempen shirt he wears hangs open at his chest only for a small portion but enough to reveal a black mark of a snake visible just not reaching his shoulder. "Atleast you are fine." he'd utter out softly.
-
"I don't know these two. And the only reason I'm here is..." His cheerfull expression turned more gloom as he swung his leg across the chocobo, landing on the sand with a soft thud. The carbuncle upon the girl's shoulder remaining still as she touches it. The crimson dressed miqo'te kept his hand rested on the neck of the chocobo while looking at the carbuncle as the Miqo'te before him seemed to treat him nicely. "I'm here to find my parents.
-
"Atleast sit with me, please. I don't think I want to sleep or sit alone at the moment." a light smile forcing itself onto his lips as he walked beside her in the direction of the cart. Even in his weakened condition he seemed strong willed enough to keep up with her pace and his posture remaining somewhat straightened out as if being a sort of bodyguard. As they reached the cart he sat back down near the cart, a faint sigh escaping him as he retracted his arms from within the wet sleeves of the leather jacket and rested it beside him spread out on the ground, looking at Tobias and Lorielle with a smirk.
-
He had forced himself up onto his feet although in his weak condition he had tried to control the trembling after effect in his hand caused by the toxin. Taking slow steps around the encampment as he watched the driver give a tap on Kieaira's behind and her red face as she moved off alone. His right hand resting on a small hilt at his thigh as a sort of mental support. Moving closer to her as he suddenly heard her scream, a pained expression forming on his face as he took more hurried steps closer with the small blade unsheated he reached her, "Kie, you okay?" he managed to bring out before nearly succumbing to his own weak condition.
-
With a light shake of his head, Clavier tried to keep both of them to fully drag him but take sluggish steps and clearly on the verge of losing consciousness due to weakness caused by the earlier toxins. His words sounding weak as his gaze rests on Tobias from the corner of his eyes. "Heroes? More like two guys who took a beating by a single toad. Atleast she didn't get hurt." After finishing his sentence his gaze shifts in Kieara's direction with a relieved expression, as he was rested against the cart. Both his hands rest beside him in the sand to prevent him from falling to his side.
-
His head tilted as his right hand rose up to be held in front of himself to examine the liquid slipping down along his hand and arm, his expression grim as he tried to keep up with the girl that pulled him along. His condition seemingly growing more fragile by the second as his pace becomes more of a quick staggering along. His words sounding hushed, "Must've sprayed onto me when it leaped at me.", a faint smile forming on his lips as they reached an area of the water that wasn't yet covered with the blood of the toad. Shifting his arm from within her grasp he fell to his knees beside the pond and both hands into the water as a form of support. The toxins clearly taking it's affect on his physical state.
