Wow, this is silly. Gamestop (EB games here) is gonna be scared as their biggest profit is preowned software. On top of the other ramifications of giving EA more power in that regard, who I have never had a high opinion of for a long time since the introduction of DRM.

The quests seem to be there, NPCs asking for items that they lost, parts of monsters, crafting/gathering materials. Stuff like that. Hopefully they will go active at release.

I get to choose between a FFXIII Shiva motorbike figurine or a Gabranth figurine...well Gabranth does have his pointy twin sword thing.

Adding jumping would be useful for crossing those small cliffs and such. Even if it was restricted to FF13s level, Where you interact with areas to jump across rather than jump on the stop for no reason like in WoW. Basically only jumping where they want you to jump. That way they can retain the areas they don't want people to somehow jump to, and allow people to get to one place or another quicker. Adding a jump key somehow brings me a vision of hundreds of lalafell jumping all over the place, as they have to be tweaked in order to be able to jump as high as other races, which brings a funny image to my head.

Server lag is an issue with me as well being located in Aus. I managed with Aions stupid server location by finding a proxy service for it and that worked wonders. Personally hoping someone'll do something similar with FFXIV. Especially since I'll be making a caster and lag annoys me to no end with that..

Eh...I only liked the opening movie of the first one..that and they had Shantotto in it and every FF character (including the villians) remarked on how an evil person she is. Except for Zidane who asked her out on a date >.>

I'd ask you to draw Thagyr since I'm jealous of Asyria's Avatar now, but I'd figure that'd be waaaay outside your normal spectrum and into the realm of big muscled manly thingies. Anatomical muscles are hard to draw! So keep with the cuteness! Though your rendition of Asyria makes her look very serious which is cool.

Things like this get me so riled up. Mainly because it nearly happened to me once with my sister and 1 year old niece. Morons should be kept off the wheel like the bloke with the sweater. Your driving a tonne of metal going more than a 100km/h and you lose focus for such a stupid thing as a sweater and suddenly 3 people are dead and someone will now grow up without a father. G f-ing G... The man was heroic, may he RIP. But the guy who killed him should be thrown off a cliff.

I think it also has to do with the future PS3 users who may be working on a smaller television or might have trouble scrolling up and down massive amounts of text using a control. Though I've never used one myself it would seem quite difficult...

A direct source for a patch and stuff would be very nice come release. Especially for larger patches since if it was to be anything like downloading the beta client for some than yeah....not gonna go through that again.

If everyone was annoyingly voiced as the two you run into if you start in Gridania than I'll be scared...

You know, the more I think about it the more I come to the impression the systems SE has placed in FFXIV is to combat bots in the long term. A Fatigue system to stop constant bot grinding A divided market system that stops farmer companies from controlling it, since you have to be everywhere at once in order to see all the prices every player is distributing their items for in order to buy it/resell it. Mini-games for gathering/crafting that are somewhat skill based. Or am I just seeing things...

Generally what you normally hear is bad things because the people that don't like it want things changed dramatically and thusly are the most vocal about it. The ones enjoying it are playing it and not writing about it (bar us here in the RPC, but its a different kind of writing ). Never cloud your thoughts on what others say since some MMOs aren't suitable for everyone and require a different mentality and taste. And if they tried to make everyone happy it simply would become another WoW clone. I enjoy it, I like the possibilities with it. And with my previous starting MMO experience I can say not one starts out perfect. A favorite saying among some people is don't play an MMO at the start, wait 6 months. Just look around at what kind of people this game has attracted right here in the RPC, and decide for yourself where you stand and your reasons for liking it. That's how I do it.

Well, I'm surprised myself! At the end of it all the RPC will be supporting 3 types of creative media. Art, Writing and Acting, before the game is even out. It's nice.

And as to the pirate, it was funny, I kept trying to change the wording around as I spoke. Like instead of "This is the time" I said "This 'BE' the time". I watch too much of a certain pirate trilogy methinks. And thanks! Good to know it seems to work, though it doesn't carry the storyteller type of voice in my own opinion. Maybe if the story was retold in a bar in Limsa or something. :?

Agreed, they have opened more servers so I'm guessing they would like the population spread out a little more. Some of these players may not even come to Live and are just playing a free game pretty much. Plus crowding tends to happen when everyone is buzzing around the beginner areas. Gridania is the worst to me since it's all narrow pathways. Not uncommon to stumble into a spawning area to see it covered with players.

May I say, I love listening to your voice and thank you. X3 But yes.. I love you voice.. but then again, i love British and Australian voices. (which gets me allot of fun harassment on vent since a few guys I talk to live in that area and I have to refuse to sqwee every time I hear them talk) You probably have time I imagine to make up some more voices. Go forth and due! Show them your talent!! Why thank you I got that a lot every time I spoke on vent during my raiding days in WoW. And yeah! mix it up a little, making voices is fun! and that's the whole point of all this *gestures widely*.

I've always entertained the idea of voice acting. Though I never had any time to practice casting it over the net. In fact no one has ever heard me try it at home. Its always a little confusing as to what we represent to some people. We are children since we play a game differently to others. Yet people enjoy coming to our communities even if they don't RP due to the maturity that we bring. :? As to that troll comment, I wonder if there is a simple ignore feature in FFXIV for that. That way we can say so much for one of the so few character slots available for people who want to waste time in such a fashion.
