I too have put that specific gear means I'm OOC but it's like people see that I roleplay in my search info and ignore the rest. I really miss those addons from WoW, they were so helpful. I can't wait until someone makes one for here. Until that time I guess we'll have to keep trying to put it in our search info until we find a magic phrase that grabs peoples' attention. EDIT: You'd think that if they were going to go to the trouble of reading your search info to see if you're a roleplayer that they would be able to see your note about gear and being OOC. That's assuming they don't go around emoting to everyone trying to find the RPer.

The settings for SweetFX are completely customizable, that's the great thing about it. I choose settings that were warmer though so lights are a bit more red. The biggest reason I use it is for the sharpen option, whenever I turn it off everything looks blurry and I can't stand it. Not that I'm trying to sell it to you or anything!

The game is coming along pretty well, the next major patch has a vanity system for us (not sure if you've kept up on any of that since you've been gone). IC Rinette doesn't particularly care for lalafell but if you want to give me a poke I am willing to RP most of the time. Feel free to contact me for non-RP things as well!

The closest you can get to changing in game look is using SweetFX. I would explain it but I'm not that great at it so I would just Google it. EDIT My contribution to the thread. Thank you, seems like they're more people that are helpful in balmung. I wouldn't say that. It just seems that a lot more are active on the forums here. Maybe it's just me but I hardly see any Gilgamesh people around.

Rinette is skilled in rudimentary natural healing, simple salves and poultices and such. She probably wouldn't be confident enough in her ability to use it on anyone. But since she's not particularly skilled in healing I'm sure I can come up with a wound that'll need better healing for her to participate in the event. I really like the sound of it! Even better that it's in the Shroud. :3

I got the impression that it takes some sort of "snapshot" of the gear you want then you equip the crystal and it gives you that look. So it doesn't sound like it'll bind that look to that one crystal only. Buuuuut it does sound like you might have to buy a new crystal each time you want to change something about the look.

Gosh I didn't even notice the hair! I had to go back and see what you were talking about. I can't really see the ear but the scars and everything else look great. The most editing I've done to a screenshot is this: But that's nothing like what you've done. Do you use a special brush for the scars too? Or was that a regular brush and talent? I have photoshop and I'm decent with it, I've done a lot of work with GIFs and editing those.

That line art for the armor came out great! That photomanipulation looks really nice, I've thought about trying my hand at it before but I'm afraid it'll look too obvious. What you did looks natural.

I knew I couldn't be the only person that creeps like this! When I see a handsome character I don't normally say anything 'cause I don't want them to think I'm hitting on them. I'm more likely to say something to couples then to a single person. But now that I think about it I don't see compliments to my character as being hit on so I should probably start letting the compliments fly! So, uh, your Elezen is cute.

I try to be sneaky about my creeping. I target the person, right click, Examine, then click away really fast to make it look like it was an accident if they notice my head turn. Then I have their equipment screen open and can turn, zoom in, and oogle in peace. I'd also like to second whoever said wiki's are a good way to creep too. I've gotten a few tells from non-RPers about Rinette's look and it makes me all giddy like all the time I spent in character creation didn't go to waste.

Nice copy pasta there. But in all seriousness can you actually answer our questions? This is a few steps away from being a Second Life escourt club (I totally Googled it last night). I applaud the effort you put into this event, anyone who puts an event together deserves respect, as I could never do it. But either you're being willfully ignorant or this was your plan all along. You're fooling yourself if you think that revealing the RL gender of hosts/maids wont encourage people to take it further then flirting. If all you wanted to do was a cutesy event why not do a date auction? Why choose a theme from fan-service anime?

It's in the second post on the official forum. 3,000 gil gets you 10 minutes with a maid/host who is readily available and 5,000 for a maid/host of your choice. They should've just followed the trend of date auctions.

I'm surprised no one as mentioned that you can buy one on one time with the hosts and maids for gil or that they are referring to everyone as "masters and mistresses". That gives off ERP vibes to me. It's nice to see that there are RPers on other realms aside from Balmung and Gilgamesh but, in my opinion, it's events like these that give RPers bad names. A massage shop with happy ending options would be more subtle than this.

Welcome to the RPC! I looked over your wiki and I must say Shaori sounds extremely interesting. Rinette isn't in the Limsa area very often but I would love to have our character meet some time. Poke me in game if you ever see me online.

I just looked it up and wow there are a lot of tiny details all over it. I don't blame you for leaving a bit of it out. If I could draw that would be my worst nightmare.

I hope you do. Your lines are gorgeous though so it'll still be great if you decide not to color.
