Welcome! I'm glad you stopped by to introduce yourself! Very nice commission. Were you able to create a character to your liking of Zeraia in the beta?

You can log in to the wiki using the same information you have on the forums. From there.. follow these instructions for creating a page on your character. Something easy to do, if you don't like the provided template, is go to a character's page that you like, hit edit, and copy the code from their wiki (cancel out after you've copied the code so you don't accidentally change anything on their page). Put it in a notepad document and you can then just fill in your information instead of theirs and paste it into your new page.

When the game came out, there was an over-abundance of cross-class usable abilities. As a result, every class could do certain things, and there was very little identity for the classes (need for a healer, for example, because every class could heal itself in some way). The introduction of jobs and restriction of cross-class abilities has made each class/job have identity, a use, etc, again, which I for one am thankful for.

I was basically staring at a Roeg woman's stomach yesterday when she stood before me.. and she wasn't even on "tallest" setting.

If only there was any of that IC conflict....

Just remember that your character's IC favored magic does not need to be supported by game mechanics. Thunder may be the spell you use most heavily in your BLM rotation during actual endgame game play, but that does NOT have to reflect your IC strengths.

As the majority of the RPers on this site are on Balmung, we will be on Balmung still once we have access to our characters and for launch (rumors of an RP server are unfortunately still in the rumor phase..). I hope that you will join us!

I think it'd be pretty awesome if it WAS a case of those who stayed behind will not recognize/remember those who time-skipped. Sure, a lot of interactions will be lost (but only on one side?) but that offers some fun RP opportunities and a chance to re-forge bonds. Personally I think the best part of RP is establishing and building relationships, not existing in ones that are just /there/. My interpretation thus far is that they can't specifically say who was there and lost, and won't recognize us when we do come back (maybe just a deja vu feeling). I'm looking forward to how it plays out.

You're describing what I did, so here's hoping it's not a cheap ploy. The only Miqo'te Aysun knew growing up was her mother. Though I did it more because I knew jack crap about most of the lore rather than to put her as an odd one out.
