So, basically you are angry because the RPC wants to support one server as the unofficial server in an effort to keep the RP community together. When this poll is over, if someone joins the RPC and says they want to play on a non-legacy server, we can say: join x server, they should have some people RPing there. So vote on your favorite name of a server! People from any server have always been able post their events, post their linkshells... But the majority of the RPC plays on Balmung, so of course we're going to recommend there first. Me: :frustrated:

I understand the reasoning behind closing off registration, but at the same time I think it was somewhat of a foul move, since I don't recall there being any warning that registration would be suspended. Doing that basically makes this an in house RPC only vote which doesn't take into account anyone else in the "RP community" that this actually supposed to be creating. I'm pretty sure anyone could have told you that Gilgamesh was the RPC favorite going into this, but outside of RPC, on the Beta forums where the rest of the community lies, Gilgamesh wasn't nearly as popular. Not being able to register has effectively cut off all but two members of my Free Company from voting. That's 20 something votes. If there was warning of some sort issued, than I retract this statement as it would simply have been my inattentiveness at work and my inability to tell my FC members to register early to ensure their vote. If there wasn't any warning, though, then I have to cry foul. If the intended community was purposely supposed to represent the RPC and not any of the members that work outside of it, then have at it. If your intent was to reach ALL RPers though, and not just members of the club, then I think you went about this wrong. Well said. For such an important poll that would be in the interest of more than just the RPC RPers, to basically deny them the right to have their say damages the legitimacy of this whole endeavor. Since the poll is regarding this RPC's support of another server only those who actually use the RPc should be worried about it.

We want the poll to represent people who are actually involved with the RPC.

My issue is - none of what anyone else is saying(moderators included) is what the admin is saying. He's made a clear stance that this is a Balmung centric site, and that anybody that disagrees can leave. No suggestions, no opinions, nothing. Discontent is met with a door and that's not fair. I don't have hopes for the community under that leadership, so I'll be sticking with Gilgamesh despite people leaving the server eventually That leadership has kept the majority of the FFXIV RP community united and alive due to this site being around since February 2010.

While I understand, I do hope that you did not base your opinion on any one experience or event with others. There are a lot of RPers out there, with a lot of different styles. Maybe you just haven't found a group that fits yours.

I was actually thinking of posting something about this yesterday! I hope you can touch base more easily with your new mentor! Sorry our timezones didn't work out! Feel free to send me a PM any time still.

You too?

Rumors are rumors. I personally have not heard anything like this. I just know that as of now it is listed as "Crowded" due to the Legacy transfer applications.

Keeper of the Moon Miqo'te are mostly in the Black Shroud (poachers) and Gridania while Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te are found in Limsa Lominsa and the Sagolii Desert in Thanalan. This doesn't mean, however, that they aren't found elsewhere. This is just where the higher concentrations are. And that migration was a LONG ASS time ago, haha. It's like.. ancient ancestor stuff. x3

Not yet that I know of. The problem was that in 1.0, with the changes being as constant as they were (and the prospect of an entire new game coming out soon), it would have been just.. crazy to do. Now with ARR being something that won't go through massive patches that creates dated gear and such it's much more feasible and hope that someone will do it!

Kerr's going to have a 'gasm. I think that's my favorite thing you've done. It's awesome.

Alright, this is a forum, everything is written down. You can not take tone from something that is written. Unless someone is outright attacking someone else, there is no reason what so ever to assume someones tone over a forum. More choice words probably could be used in addressing things, but it's your choice to take the words as you want to. I see no attacks on anyone. Take a breath, step back when you read a post and try to see it from other angles. As it is said, we are all adults, please be adults, keep to the subject. Once again, we arrive at that vicious circle we all seem to love getting into.. If there is no tone, why is it I get so much hell for mine all the time? This is completely derailed, which was never my intention. My intention was to post my opinion that the subject of what goes on at an LS leaders meeting being censored to avoid drama because a sensitive thing was being discussed was hardly something to get riled up over as some appeared to be. I thought it was silly to be preaching about transparency as if this were more than just a meeting of people discussing RP stuff, not a meeting of congress, as if our rights were violated or something. And I was just rather surprised as to who was bringing the subject up to begin with, and how.

The posts I read earlier in the day were quite hostile. I suppose my problem with most of this is the tone your posts appeared to have with Kylin initially, and the fact that it was posted in a completely unrelated topic. If the tone was unintenional, then great. As much as people get after me about my tone, it bothers me when it's just okay for others to do it.

Well it's a good thing I'm not a Linkshell Leader participating in open talks, eh Aysun? And apparently to some people yes, this is an issue. That is why the topic was brought up and that's why it is being dealt with. "It is a good divine that follows his own instructions." ~William Shakespeare My point really is that this has totally gotten blown out of proportion and is just downright silly at this point. There's discussion, there's expression of opinion.. and then there's these hostile "I'm right and you're wrong and hiding something" posts. That's when it just gets silly.

I can't believe there is all this being raised over them redacting things. Especially from you Deirdre? You seemed ok with redacting all of your comments here... While I think in future it would be better if the leaders approached it in a fashion that is more like "if the rest of the community can't see it we probably shouldn't talk about it," the redacting and such was agreed upon by the leaders present because the topic was sensitive. Can we move on? It's really not that huge of a deal, and in future they can handle it differently.

THIIIISSSS.. would be awesome to do. I do personally like your Miqo'te story better, and.. Highlanders. Everyone needs moar Highlanders.

Jobs take the level of the higher class, if I remember right. That is, if you are 30 lancer and unlock your dragoon, you will be level 30 dragoon. EXP gained as a lancer contributes to both lancer and dragoon, and vice versa. Dragoon will have special job abilities gained through quests (every five levels). I can't help you with the stats for ARR, as they've changed from what I knew!

Super useful! Don't take this gallery down ever!

What I would love to see is that the Linkshell directory only be used for the initial post about the linkshell with no replies or bumps when updates/events occur. Listed in alphabetical order, not by newness (like a directory!). A LS discussion sub-forum could be used for those people who wish to post updates about their LS (the first post can simply provide a link to their Linkshell directory listing or something) or for people to comment about the ideas.
