Agree with me now. After I had to waste time to provide abundant evidence. Whichever, I've gone a removed the offense from my signature, though my position still stands. I'm deeply bothered so many would condone such actions from artistic contributors to the community, and if it becomes a regular occurrence then my stay here will probably be very short. I think until you had posted the other pictures as well many were still seeing it as "it's just a WIP" and such.. Many here are friends of Mtoto as well, evidence is required..

This is beyond silly now. There have been insults on both sides and the point has long since been made. The "evidence" is posted and now I'm just seeing mud being flung. People can draw their own conclusions about the original point of this thread based on what was posted..

You just said it wasn't your place to say. Yea I totally talked myself in a circle there. However, finding that these finished works have no credit given on DA either and that it's more than one instance has convinced me otherwise. x_x

Isilme, The poses are identical. The clothing is near identical. The only thing that is different is the color scheme and character faces. On DA he has all these finished works posted with no credits to the original poses there either. It may be fanart, it may be practice, but you can't just claim it as your own if it's not.. People were raving about his talent and such when it wasn't really his own idea. That's why it's plagiarism.

I think it wouldn't have been such a bickering match if it'd been brought up more tactfully. Finally, it's not really our place to say what has been plagiarized. The artists of the original works can decide that.

No no, when it became you attacking the community is when you grouped us all into a lump of plagiarism-supporters with your signature. Like I originally posted, I don't support what Mtoto did at all, yet I'm included in your signature and you're reading my posts like I'm being hostile with you as well when I'm trying to explain why they're upset with you.

Really Shawnzy, I think the reason everyone's all siding with Mtoto on this is how you brought this up and how you attacked the community over the actions of one person. It could have been handled better, is all. It doesn't mean anyone here supports what Mtoto did.

Seeing the side-by-sides make me a bit curious myself, because while I use references too, this does seem a bit.. odd. The entire outfit, even the folds in the fabric, are mirrored. I think tracing/copying things is a great way to learn and figure out things, but I wouldn't post those anywhere and claim they're my art or anything..

Oh my. O_o I just.. don't even know where to start. I don't support plagiarism and am offended that I'm grouped in with such things just because I am a member of this site. As an innocent bystander, I'd appreciate not being labeled as someone who supports such things. :cry:
