I agree with everything that Rhio has stated, and do not think I could have put it better myself. There has always been a subset of RPers that do not associate with the RPC, whether on Balmung or another server. I don't feel that it should be the RPC's responsibility to chase after RPers across other servers when the stated goals - at least as I remember them from before the launch of 1.0 - was to unify RPers in one place. I think it's fine and well if people want to RP on another server, but I also don't feel it should be the RPC's responsibility to promote their linkshells or advertise their activities. That is my opinion and I'm sorry if it offends some.

I agree with this as well, and fatigue has been the method I've also used with regards to healing more severe injuries in-character. I think the important thing here to realize is that different healers may RP with differing levels of proficiency or magic potency, different degrees of reliance upon more mundane or conventional means of medical treatment to fall back on, and varying levels of success in the endeavors. None of this is really wrong, but I've found that it helps if there's a little OOC communication between healer and patient to kind of establish that line between demonstrating the severity of an injury and demonstrating the abilities of the healer.

If you're looking for non-miqo, I would certainly volunteer for weaver, since that's kind of a primary thing for Eva. I know Xen posted first though and it's cool either way. Just looking forward to seeing more of your work~

I think it's pretty accurate to say most from XI "rebooted" or started anew. Or have characters in their backstory inspired by or built upon concepts of characters from XI. I know the character Cartius from Kylin's story was a similar character in XI but has been adjusted to fit into the lore in XIV. Eva as a character is the grown-up daughter of Dyterium from XI, though instead of being a Temple Knight of San d'Oria, he's been adjusted a bit to where he was one of the dragoons of Ishgard (he actually died IC last April in his late-50's). She is quite a different person though. Isilme did something similar, but characters' ages were adjusted a little bit so that it would make sense that she was younger. Others have totally left behind their XI characters and started something entirely fresh and new. But if it answers your question, the lore from XI and XIV is different enough that I don't know of anyone who has attempted to RP an actual character from XI in XIV - and I'm not sure how well something like that might be received anyway, since... different universe and no acknowledgement of any tie whatsoever with Vana'diel and all. I hope that this helps answer your question though. Different people are doing different things~

Yissss! I remember the name Hathaway! Kylin, you should post a link to that old Sylph RP video you made~ I know there were a lot of dramz back in those days. But having experienced XIV RP from 1.0, and this pause between 1.0 and ARR, the drama that does exist (I don't think it ever fully goes away) pales in comparison to some of what we were all exposed to in XI. There is a lot of maturity in this community and I'm happy to be a part of it, and I hope you are too! The half of Eva that played XI was called Dyterium, in that lifetime. 8-)

We have a [bubbly/annoying/well-intentioned] alt that might be really good for something like this, possibly as an actress.

I normally don't get the whole pony fascination thing but I admit I'm bored and have nothing else to do on this humdrum Sunday so I figured why not procrastinate doing something worthwhile waste a little time. Behold, the product of my procrastination!

I'm happy to be married to someone who is understanding, compassionate, and full of life and love and just everything that is wonderful. <3 I'm happy we live with our cat - even if he's become a little old and set in his ways. I'm happy we recently got a new puppy - even if she's young, hyper, and regularly makes a mess of our living room. I'm happy that I have a job that I enjoy and a good team and excellent coworkers. Right now I'm happy to have a wonderful cup of Darjeeling~ Relating more to the RP/FFXIV side of things: I'm happy to have had a lot of wonderful, meaningful RP experiences in 1.0 and it makes me very hopeful for the future. I'm happy that P3 is only 12 days away now so that a lot of the apprehension and antsy behavior can go away as people get back to enjoying the game. I'm happy to have met some truly wonderful RPers, both from my time in FFXI and also along the way in XIV. While unexpected, I'm happy to have forged some very real OOC friendships with a few of them in particular during this kind of "RP downtime". I'm happy whenever anyone in the community draws/paints art of anyone else in the community. I'm happy to see so many other people here happy.
