Hrm... I might not be that desperate for a name change at $36 and time (if needed) to wait before transfers. I'm assuming the transfers also have a delay in between.

Say... without Fantasia? I'm 60% in the camp of wanting to change my main's character name... if Fantasia is a way I can't do it because I used Fantasia already to make Kage even more adorable than have an appearance more like what I imagine than when I first started the game in November.

I would join it if there is one.

I am not surprised by the announcement. As far as I can tell, they don't plan for the expansion to come out for another... year or so. At which time I think it's been a small fair enough time to let the PS3 rest. I think the free upgrade is really nice (although I once had the notion of abusing this so I can get a copy of FF14:ARR for my PS4 while still playing on the PC... get a cheap copy -> ps4 is cheap??)

Kage jerked as he felt a nudge. He gave Natalie a small smirk and his eyes twinkled before drawling, "I don't know what you're talking about Natalie." He took as sip from his ale and continued to Aya, "She's probably just thinking about keeping professional courtesy if it might involve Ul'dah's security."

Kage glanced around wondering if perhaps Aya was worried about something. "I don't think you need to advertise it. I actually think it's smarter." He took another sip and took a cursory glance at the others. "Your protection must be good if he called you out so far."

I completely understand. All of my Coil-ready friends are in established groups already so I'm mostly just waiting for 2.2 to hit. Bolded for best line :3

Thank you very much Celeste! When I did T1-3 I basically just followed my friends' directions without understanding what actually was happening in the fights. (I had no idea whatsoever what feeding the slimes meant just that a friend was doing it for example.) (I got hit prettttty well by those golems >_> and the response was "Oh yeah that thing hurts.")

Kage grinned at Kakaru and chirped, "Well if you're offering... I hope you're enjoying yourself!" He turned to Aya, curious and thinking along the same line as Natalie's and decided to wait for the response to her question. He just took a small sip and watched the group gathered. It was turning out to be a wonderful, relaxing night.

Any idea when they might actually be starting one or both? I'd love to join a Learning Coil group or LS for it, or even especially incorporating it with the ex primals stuff. I know that statics won't mean -too- much once 2.2 hits but at the moment my FC's coil static is well... full and static so I'm left trying to PuG T1-2 by myself if I try it.

So from what I understand the recent 'change' to T2 came as a result of a bug fix and that they didn't account for how many people were doing a non-standard method to beat it. So apparently the boss' behavior changed after enrage making the usual enrage method less viable. The T5 change was a result of an incomplete 2.2 change being applied early in 2.16 that changed Twintania's behavior. I can't tell if the bugfix or the 2.2 change is the AI randomizer "Gambit" To be honest I don't think the bug fix is too bad. I honestly would not mind at all learning how to beat T2 with the mechanics in mind but no one in my FC really does it so I'd have to actually find a group to teach it to me. ><; Hotfix emeegency maintenance from 9am-12pm PST (5pm-8pm GMT if I understand correctly)

Kage nodded at Natalie's words. Ever since he had started to become more outspoken with the group, they had always been having great amounts of fun. He extended a hand towards Aya and said, "Pleasure to meet you!" He took one of the remaining tankards of ale and started to take a long swig. He grinned and asked, "What brings you to Ul'dah?"

Kage raised his head and saw the other woman that Natalie went to speak to and glanced at the female Roegadyn who had burst through the doors. At Natalie's suggestion he rolled his eyes and nodded. He nodded to the female she was with and grabbed another tankard of ale to give her. He set it on the counter and gave Kakaru a small smile. "I... honestly don't have much knowledge of what you're speaking of... but great things don't come to folk who do small things."

Kage is mostly surrounded by purring things. T_T ... *scratches at ears and pets tails* No longer in the linkshell.

Welcome to the forums! I hope you do enjoy your stay at RPC. If your character is in Ul'dah and I'm available I will gladly offer help if I can. I've sorta become proficient with the art of linkshells.... except when mistyping >_> Linkshells are, in my opinion, just big chat rooms that are done by invites essentially.

@Evie: I was wondering how it became a monopoly that only the first poster could comment and share LS/FCs in welcoming people and then get mad when people want to welcome someone as well. It seemed hypocritical to me.

Kage rolled his eyes and took the empty tankards, "Yes I'm buying but he doesn't seem to want any ale..." At Kakaru's glance at his armor, his skin flushed a little pink and he tugged at a belt holding the armor together, trying to loosen it a little. He went to the barkeep, relinquishing his hold on the empty tankards and laid a pile of gil on the counter. He'd just pay for the amount of ale that he and Natalie would probably drink as well as the mulled teas. He took a board filled with a couple of ale tankards and some cups of mulled tea over to the group. He offered each their respective drinks as he took one of the cups of tea and gulped the whole thing down. "Ul'dah is a wonderful city. I've never personally been to Gridania, Limsa Lominsa, or the Coerthas region myself but I do hear that Gridania may be a little... judgy," he said. "Why would your goals get you kicked out though?"

On the topic of replying to linkshells, you can also [once you join one by speaking to a linkshell member and asking for an invite] use "Alt+L" to cycle through your linkshells [though I prefer the /ls# method as well.] No~ You're just really helpful! ((I wasn't sure about saying anything about ALT+L because it's exactly how I end up doing so many mistypes))

Chat channels? I assume you mean the Linkshells which require an "officer" of the linkshell to give you a linkpearl. After that it's as simple as (on a keyboard) hitting "/" and then "l#" and a message to chat with people /ls1 Rawr = my saying "Rawr" in my first linkshell. Olofantur has good recs that you can check out and is most likely incoming~

Since I have no experience with it or the strategy I could be just blowing hot air. But I had read some posts to the effect that people aren't going to be able to essentially solo-tank it anymore.

To be honest I tried not to say anything at all. But based on my /tells with you the first day, I was very put off. I am, always will be, open to /tells from people. I get them from friends I've made or are trying to establish RP with but they also realize that not everyone can make themselves available at all times for them and that some schedules need to be made. I understand that there are communications issues but I still cannot understand how some of what you sent to me in /tells were not passive aggressive about my not being able to respond to you while I was busy. Then I had to get a "I'm offended that you took it that way" message when I told you that I didn't appreciate the passive aggressive multiple /tells you sent me while busy. It all felt very manipulative and passive aggressive, which as I said was not appreciated or wanted and put me off of wanting to interact with you. It's still very unfortunate that you feel like you were harassed. I haven't seen any of that sort actually happening here but for some people disagreeing with you. As to your events or ideas, perhaps you just didn't have any ideas that people found workable or interesting. I hate making anything like this but I also don't like how you seem to want to misrepresent a community that I have found to be welcoming. Based on the /tells I received and some of your recent posts though, I can understand why some people would rather not RP with you. It does not however mean following and harassing you is at all warranted, because it is not.
