RE: Allagan mannequin/android not being feasible because they haven't shown that technology , have I missed something? The mannequins in the game seem remarkably "convincing" to me and they're explicitly called mannequins as they are not "flesh-and-blood soldiers." For what we know they can abdroids, I don't know if Eorzeans really have a concept of what am android may be but we know the mannequins are not flesh and blood. This thread has sorta gotten past that initial stage of "potential" character. It was brought back almost a month after its last post. The character was made already. The feedback we can give now is more fleshing (hehe) out of poosibilities for the character's histories and what the best way to roleplay that out. However as of this moment most if not all here are not yet part of the narrative. It's up to OP for those parts. It's of my opinion that plots like this need a certain "circle" of roleplayers who will be receptive. A group of players who frequently roleplay together. I would say plotting basis but I know some people will shut that down fairly hard.

What are some phrases and words we could try to translate? The book from Great Gubal Library may take some serous time but here's one... Mor Dhona. Mor[n] D[h]o na Mor[n] - death d[ho] - leave/forget/discard na - to emphasize a command etc. Na emphasizes an order, so perhaps Death should be forgotten or it is a command to leave the dead area? The area is close to where Midgardsomr chose to promise Hydaelyn to keep safe etc.

Echo does not manifest in the same ways and to the same extents. Here, we see that not all Echo will translate dragonspeak and not many with Echo have also gotten to be near dragons to actually listen. Something else to note is that Dragons speak Eorzean, most of them. To the extent that they can switch back and forth in case they only want your (THE WoL) ears or if they are condescending and see you as underdeveloped and simplistic... i may or may not take a gander at the library book >.>;

I don't see what the abuse is (other than being a disruption at an event but that is a completely different matter than "your character looks this way and is dressed this way why don't you treat my character with authority or the force to put you down" so I will not touch on event disruption.) If someone plays an uppity arrogant character, what if that's it? I didn't see any indication where it started to go to rolls or some such. It looks more like a character called another character on an intimidation bluff. In all this time this thread has been around, I have only seen that one character got uppity and the character in a guard capacity wanted to speak and show their authority. Where did it get physical? Why should someone cower just because of size and armor? Did that actually get used? Or was it, "Oh hey I'm this guard here and I expect you to respect my authority... I'm the bouncer at this event and you're being rowdy..... why aren't you stopping?" Edit: The point is, it's not about people recognizing size and strength. The point is that people are asses and like to either a) use events to publicly show their RP plots or b) want to be disruptive. It's just the value of the player being an ass when someone OOC tells them ((Look, this isn't the event for it. If you continue I'm about to put a sword through your character and consider your character dead if I ever see you again. Knock it off.))

This breaks the forum posts as the forum tries to "complete" missing BBCode, I have changed to using {s}, {n}, and {h}. 10/8/2015 6am PST: "Sohm Al" translation has been changed from "eternal slumber" but it is "promised slumber" instead. 10/8/2015 9:36am PST: The dictionary lists "peace" translating to "slumber". In dragonspeak, peace and slumber are the same word and is corrected to say "so{h}m".

I have a feeling this will be a thing in the upcoming Void Ark raid. Since it's a Fifth Astral Era creation meant to escape the flood of the Sixth Umbral Era. People have noted a series of coffins hanging from the bottom of the ship and the vessel itself seems to run on residual aether. It's possible/likely that the storyline will include some stasis'd Mhachi who will tell us all about the War of the Magi from his perspective, similar to how some Allagan clones arrived to tell us about the Crystal Tower. So, please look forward to that. Your concept may become more fleshed out this november. Heard it here first folks! Here's a few images that will make you wonder. I'm curious because I'm not sure what is causing the issue, especially now? I've never seen this happen before and I'm -sure- I've placed multiple spoilers with quotes inside of the spoilers without issue. But for some reason, I'm not getting issues with these spoilers duplicating and moving or something to that effect. Even when I'm just using the edit. I stopped using the visual editor over a year ago >.>; (Is there a reason My Code looks like it's from the 2000s?)

Oh, sorry! The quote from Wealdtheow is from after you complete Dusk Vigil. He's the NPC that gives you the quest to go into the dungeon in the first place - to send you looking for the jewel. Then griffin smashes the statue's head and the sapphire comes rolling over to your feet. You take the sapphire and return it to Wealdtheow (Yuhelmeric's father) and he then proceeds to tell you the sad fate of his family. Hence the above quote. In the notes, Yuhelmeric is staring obsessively at the sapphire on the statue of the Fury's head. He knows it's his sapphire, but he can't take it because it adorns an idol of Halone and the Inquisitors would know immediately it was he who took it. So that, plus the torture of his wife sort of drove him slowly over the edge. Which is heartbreaking cuz he was such a sweetheart in 1.0. ; ; -palm hitting face- I completely... forgot about this. I did exactly what the devs said not to do, which was rush the NPC dialogue. I'll edit that in!!

To be honest, I would totally say "Wait for 3.1" and see what Void Ark brings. Even though it's not a WAR or a Nymean Marine, we don't know toooo much about the Mhachi. Some far theories are speculating about the coffin/caskets that line a lot of the ark as well as hang from it. If you're building an escape ship... why have a bunch of your dead brethren? Stasis caskets. Edit: But the bigger question may be "just how far can you take a character with this?" How would you develop learning the new world? How would you develop learning the language and understanding?

Except the last time I changed any user options was this. So now, I know that this isn't the issue and SCEditor(source) does not change the fact that whenever I try to use full edit to change that post it screws with the spoiler tags even when I'm not using visual editor. Either one of those screenshots is SCEditor(source). If it is the one on the right, then that is my point. I am not using Visual Editor. I am using "PREVIEW POST" or Full Edit and it changes my tags already. As soon as I hit "FULL EDIT" on the post it messes with the code and the code I pasted in the earlier post is what I get. As you can see from the actual post, that's not the right code.

I can't tell what source code it is, but I've already mentioned that I don't like to use the visual editor in person and here in the forums. I'm supposed to default to the "View Source" option. I keep changing "Which BBCode editor to show on post pages" to SCEditor(source) but whenever I go to it, it keeps saying "My Code editor" When I switch to "My Code editor", it shows me a very dated icon set when trying to post. Mmm I think a lot of the accused heretics just get sent to places like Witchdrop unless they have some good amount of pull. They might be able to use trial by combat or get the interrogations to stop [referencing Ser Yuhelmeric's father securing his wife's release from interrogations].

I get the same issue with spoilers. If you use the visual editor, they freak out if you switch back and forth (or disappear for spoilers). Using the SCEditor defaulting into Source mode, I mostly handle everything in BBCode unless I need to preview for text size/color. But I never use visual editor. I recently found an issue where my post reply was completely different so I switched the source editor to like SCEditor Perhaps it needed to be SCEditor(source) instead? Thanks Sounsyy for the clarification and additional info. I wonder then, why Ser Yuhelmeric stares so at the jewel in the crown if it was returned to the family. He doesn't know? Just the reminder? I think my edits are getting FUBAR'd. I try to preview or full edit and it throws my spoiler and quote tags everywhere. I changed up the Ban+Cen+Aan info when I wrote that section so it fit the rest of the list a tad more. Hopefully we can use a central keep for *all* the dungeon notes! If you want to have me add screenshots etc let me know which ones~ I think the other place with notes is Toto-rak? But I don't remember anything substantial to those posts.
