I love Subligars! I specifically went out and got one, with the harness for the top armor, for Chveya before beta ended. I even had thigh-high boots to run around in.

I am in class, and thus cannot see what has sparked the double-facepalm. (Why SOME pics come through here and others don't, I have no idea.) I'm not sure I can survive the next six hours without knowing!

True, hehe, I wasn't really calculating the law into it. Then let's say... You're ordering icecream, and your friend accidently get 3 scoops instead of 2? Or wait, I guess that could be concidered illegal too... Damn you, silly law system! Your examples are cute, and sound a lot like the sort of analogies I'd try to make up. They made me laugh. However, it's not entirely accurate. When the same group of people are all paying the same amount of money for a stated service, it's not unreasonable to expect that they'll all receive the same service. To continue your analogy, you take your car into the shop for an oil change, and pay for the oil change. Your oil gets changed, and you leave. You friend takes his car into the shop for an oil change, and pays the same amount of money you did, to the same shop. They change his oil, replace his wiper blades, rotate his tires, and check the other fluids in the car. Wouldn't you wonder why he got a better level of service than you did? Now, mind you, I'm not angry. I'm getting the regular edition goggles myself, so it isn't as if I'm upset that someone's getting goggles that shouldn't. But I don't think there's anything unreasonable with some people wondering why another group of people are getting something above and beyond what they paid for, when both groups paid equally.

Please explain how it is envious to expect fairness?

There are more than 10 people. You can't assume the download rate you have when you first start, is the download rate you'll have when you're in the middle, or at the end. Most people -- people like me, for example -- only allow X number of people to be downloading off of them at once. If there's 9 people in line, and you're the 10th, and I'm only allowing 2 downloads at once, you have to wait your turn. Fire up the torrent, and wait and hour. I can almost guarantee it'll be going faster. But don't try to run the SE patcher and the torrent at the same time. Yikes.

Is it possible (via you, or anywhere else currently hosting it) to download these files BEFORE having the game? For those of us not loading in till the 30th?

It's safe to say that both English and Spanish are pretty common languages. It's a fair bet that within any fair-sized group, there will probably be at least one person who can drum up at least a rudimentary knowledge of one or the other.

This particular LS will not be hosting events. And I think until the numbers become a problem, we shouldn't need to split up to accomodate timezones. In fact, having EU players involved might be nice for those of us who keep really odd late-night / early-morning hours.

There doesn't need to be a split. This version of the idea came about because there were too many reasons that different people wanted to be freelance -- everything from a disinterest in being in a LS at all, to just not having found the right one yet. So we removed the freelancer idea totally, and came up with the idea of just making it for NOTHING MORE than the communications aspect. It's nothing more than a great big chat channel. There's no LS structure (short of needing a few good folks to help invite everyone) and there's no IC aspect to it whatsoever. It's just a way to help everyone communicate better in-game, rather than having to tab out when you're logged in just to check a forum, IRC channel, or messenger window.

Here's the basic idea / question. Would you join a LS that 'existed' in a purely OOC sense, it's sole purpose to function as a primarily-OOC means to communication for RPers? ** NOTE! This is NOT a "freelancer" LS; this is not an IC LS. This is an LS for EVERYONE and ANYONE who wants to maintain OOC communication with other RPers via the LS's communication channel. ** So far, I haven't seen any sign of player-created chat channels in-game. I'm sure at -some- point they may be implemented, but until then, there's virtually no way in-game for a large quantity of RPers to keep in contact; for spontaneous RP, for grouping, for absolutely random chit-chat and banter. If there's enough positive response to this idea, I will be happy to start it up. HOWEVER, I did not order the CE, so I cannot be in-game until at LEAST launch day. This will, additionally, require a handful of people who would be willing to handle whatever is responsible for getting others invited into the LS -- I didn't managed to actually see the invitation process during beta, but I understand you need to physically meet to trade the linkpearl? So if you're interested, AND willing to be one of those people, please let me know.

Some of the eye shapes are SO subtle. I gotta admit, though, that the darker nose is just -cute-. And seems to add another layer of cat-ishness, I guess you could say.

They do. Or rather, it's not exactly slouching, as it is jutting the hips forward, shoulders back, and the head pushes forward. They'd make a chiropractor cry. This amused me greatly. They do have a bit of a weird stance don't they? Blame the tail. Yanno, I'd sort of discounted the tail. But I guess if you had a tail that long adding extra weight behind you, you'd shift your center of gravity forward, wouldn't you? Very insightful of you!

I'm surprised, both that the opinions are almost evenly balanced -- in most cases you tend to see a sizable majority leaning towards one or another -- and that the one in the lead is option 1. The model I rolled with during beta was closest to option 3, so I'd gotten sort of attached to her, and I'd thought version 1 looked really sad; but I'm told that if I fiddle with her eye shape or maybe choose a different mouth it won't be so depressed-looking. So I might try that!

That's okay, I just threw it out there in case anyone wanted to scoop it up anyhow -- I'm about as good at organizing people (even into loose clusters) as ordinary folks are at herding cats.
