The little miss in pink scrunched up her face in concentration as she stared down at the box in thought, then broke into another smile as she looked up at and said, "From a secret admirer, miss! A fan of all sorts of songs and dances!" She bit her lower lip, eyes shining mischievously, eyebrows rising and falling suggestively as she held up the box again. "Secret admirerrrrrr~"

The little Lalafell woman, dressed in pink spring shirt and skirt, strode up Ruby Road right up to the Roegadyn woman and the Brass Blade. To the lady, she held up a pink box filled with half a dozen confections, held it up with one hand, smiled, and posed. "Special delivery! Courtesy of Crescent Cove Croissants and Crafts!"

*stares lustily at Dark Souls 2* ...I wonder if that'll drop to 50% at some point... *starts drooling* -
I don't remember exactly where or in which Live Letter this was mentioned, but I do distinctly recall Yoshi mentioning that they were pushing for the capability to allow people to queue in groups of 24 so that Free Companies could do CT ((and presumably Frontlines) together. I wouldn't be surprised if that capability comes out when CT2 does.

Winter Steam Sale 2014: RIP Money

As someone who played it and loved it, I'd say the only "mixed" thing about it is that, despite how EXCELLENT the game is, how well it handles, how fun First Person Parkour turned out to be... there's a severe dirth of content to come back and revisit. There's a reason people have been clamoring for years for an expansion/sequel. tl;dr: Mirror's Edge is worth your money, especially at a discount. EDIT: AT FIVE DOLLARS IT'S A STEAL, BUY IT DOGBERRY, BUYITBUYITBUYIT. -
*raises hand* It's not going to affect me in any way other than getting the in-game graphics to match what I'm already roleplaying. I'd say the same goes for a lot of others, as well.

...AM I NOT MERCILESS?!
-
Varies and depends on how serious the scene is and/or how distractingly humorous it would be to break the fourth wall at a given moment. On that note, I... have a confession to make. The original reason behind blaming Askier for everything was because the man is notoriously frequent when it comes to typos. His custom emotes, particularly the long ones, tend to be littered with them, and his propensity for making them is such that he might make one, go back to fix it with the standard ( *) format, and his "fix" will frequently, in and of itself, be a typo. Ex: Askier Mergrey turns and chcks the bom at Osric Melkire. Askier Mergrey: chicks* )) Askier Mergrey: bomb* )) Askier Mergrey: chucks* )) Quite a few of us hang out in Vent, and we started noticing a while back that our own mastery over the English language began slipping whenever he was present in-game. We'd start making our own typos, leaving out quotation marks, sending mistells, etc. This only got worse, because it eventually progressed to the point where him just being present in Vent was enough to screw us over. That then progressed to someone merely mentioning him, to the mere thought of him, and finally just the mere fact of having associated with him was enough to have us butchering the English language. We think it's some sort of disease that people contract once they come into contact with him; be warned. So if you're ever walking around, and you see something along the lines of... Osric Melkire: "That did not just happen. Osric Melkire: " * Osric Melkire blames Askier. ...now you know why. Disclaimer: I share this story because A, I know Askier well enough to say with confidence that he'd get a laugh out of someone finally sharing this story rather than be pissed at someone taking the mickey out of him, and because B, my name is Maximus Decimus Meridius, son to a dying language and a creditor of many an OoC headache induced by IC events, and I will exact my vengeance, in this life or in RP.

Brainstorm for Episodic rp event ((Poll up for getting best of the week))
Melkire replied to Askier's topic in RP Discussion
Previous event was more of a weekly thing that eventually grew into something more dynamic, as several of us would kick sideplots along between events. That eventually came to influence the weekly meetings themselves. If I've read through this thread right, Askier's looking to shift focus away from those weekly meetings and give people the freedom to have more of an impact on the plot, how it develops, and how it resolves.* So, all that considered, you'll likely miss one weekly meeting at most, and whatever roleplay that people get up to amongst themselves in the interim. I doubt you'll fall behind much, to be honest, and this early on there's always room and time for folks to hop in and not feel out of place. * - Some examples from the last event, A Wind-Swept Saga: 1. I... may have personally stacked the deck for the heroes between Weeks 3 and 4, having run around recruiting whoever I could for the purpose. Ended up turning one spy into a hero, dragging a certain Lalafell Sultansworn into it, meeting with Askier under a truce, arranging for a rescue operation, etc. 2. Behind the scenes, Askier's NPC sister Saravena was slated to die during the events of Week 4. Zachary Evans surprised everyone; when the Miqo'te girl was thrown off a cliff into the ceruleum below, he asked me in /tells if he could jump in and try to save her, and if he had any chance of doing so. Surprised the hell out of me, but I figured it was both in-character and an interesting twist, so we agreed that he'd flip a coin. He called it correctly, saved the girl, and ended up impacting each and every remaining aspect of the plot by doing so. As a result, we have Askier amongst the living, a Saravena PC, and a second event (the premise of which turned out to be VERY dependent on whether Askier lived or died). 3. The outcome of Week 5, a.k.a. the trial, may have seemed railroaded/rigged from the outside looking in, but there were IC interactions and plotting and execution that went into faking Askier's death, which, again, was precipated by Zachary saving Saravena. We ran into some really tense moments (Itar's speech, Barbarccia's insistence that the shot Askier not be moved, Selphy coming with us as we did move him, S'honji 's and Bartolomeo's pursuing of Kahn'a, etc.) that could not have happened without the participants and their freedom of movement.
