2. Catching up. Big thank you to everyone who came it was a great crowd. Before and after the celebration a lot of people stuck around and I caught so many snippets of great role play. Saw some people meeting and returning and it was a hub of activity. Huge thank you to Ciel, Nathan, Lottie, Tausenadel, Vaughn, and Sounsyy just the stories the songs were fantastic I heard so much feedback about them. The lore was great, the music was immersing, and someone even told me they though about the O'regan trail randomly and started laughing. Thanks also to the guards I saw. I lost track of them in the hubbub and I'm sure I missed a couple that were out at the outer borders of the area. The white tabards and robes really stand out, I saw one with white armor as well, and it just really puts that extra something on the event. I saw a couple people come at the tail end and that's so sweet to stop by and keep role playing. It went on for a few hours afterwards. 3. It was a slightly cloudy day in Limsa, just enough to save the pilgrims from the beating of an overly bright sun against its white walkways. The breeze was warm and full of salty air, bells from the docks rung in the distance. Overall though there was an air of happiness and positivity. Pilgrims gathered near the Aftcastle, greeting and meeting old friends, beckoning new ones in. Jancis Milburga rings a hand bell. "Not my hat... Ah! We're starting!" "Got back just in time, it seems." "A-ah, we're startin'..." "Come along, you two!" "Thank you all for coming! From far and wide you have come to here to gather together, friend and ally by your sides, to celebrate this moon of the Navigator." "Though the waters have not always been kind, we ride them out. Many we carry on our backs here. Many in our hearts. This day does not come freely for any of us." "With guidance from within, guidance from our friends, we made it here today. We celebrate that along side Llymlaen, who helps push away fog from our horizons and let us see the paths we wish to take, whose waters give us means to sail." "So let us continue, hearts open and high. Think as we walk of all those who helped you get to this point. They are with us now!" Jancis holds her hand bell high over her head, ringing it with enthusiasm. "I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination." "The fragrance of flowers spreads only in the direction of the wind. But the goodness of a person spreads in all directions." "Efforts and courage are not enough without purpose and direction." "The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea." "There is a tide in the affairs of men, Which taken at the flood, leads on to fortune. Omitted, all the voyage of their life is bound in shallows and in miseries. On such a full sea are we now afloat. And we must take the current when it serves, or lose our ventures." "We must free ourselves of the hope that the sea will ever rest. We must learn to sail in high winds." Arriving at the Anchor Yard, the the pilgrims gather around the bird statue, the marble fresh and clean so its engraving shone, Borne on high by wind divine, in the halls of the Twelve be heard. Jancis beckons everyone as a lute player comes over towards the side of the statue, tuning and then starting a calm energic tune. E2zbAO5_jCE "Llymlaen is the Matron of Limsa because all who have come to these shores, they did so with goals and dreams in mind. We all fight and are steadfast. Let us celebrate that now this day!"
4. Agreed I'm feeling there is going to be some kind of healing aftermath. While I can only speculate, fighting a couple battles will probably leave Jancis either out of commission or in need of assistance.
5. Randoms Got to role play with Faolan, but he couldn't choose which pair of pants to wear... A pair of kitty cattes checking in on Jancis so things didn't become uncooth with Kohu visiting. So innocent those smiles. Dark and spooky - fighting the void Waiting Jancis Kitties stuck in a tree! Tired... I mean coma... whatever
6. It didn't matter that she was wounded and injuries were recovering. Her bags were light, just awkward, and she had to get to somewhere that day! Jancis had two large bags, one on her back and one under her arm, including a satchel against her hip. Idle people at the airship dock watched her as she waited for the lift, insisting on others go ahead of her since she would take the entire box up. At least, until one of the guards gave her a hard time to get in and just go. She waddled across the gleaming streets of Ul'dah, the shuffling swishing sounds making her a spectacle. Regardless, Jancis waved and bid everyone good sun. Laughing, one person got the door for her at the Quicksand, which rewarded him with a slew of 'thank you's. At the receiving desk for the Hourglass, she stopped and asked to be let into Lady Crofte's Room. The conjurer's face wasn't as recognizable as it use to be, so after nearly a quarter bell of explaining her intent and how she knew the Sworn, someone finally relented and escorted her over. The paladin would be working. Somewhere back in the unseen halls that mazed through the Jewel or even just buried under paperwork in her desk. It didn't matter where; she was going to be gone for hours. Just enough time. Pulling the satchel from her side, she pulled out the biggest bundle of thread. It was thin like fishing line, but rough to catch on what it was sewn through. Threading a large curving needle and preparing her knife, she got to work. Something special for Cici...
7. Coatleque had a semi-permanent room at the Hourglass. Like many, they simply lived there. With a few possessions and easy access to food and bath, it made for an ideal living space for a Sultansworn. Jancis looked about the room and got to work stringing up flowers. Wildflowers, blossoms from Gridania's Botany Guild (many of them with the stems broken made for a good deal and only added to the amount) and as many beach-side style flowers she could find around the coastline of La Noscea. Every piece of furniture was climbed on to reach the heights of the ceiling and a net-like mesh was tied off to go across the room so flowers dangled over every ilm. Not all the petals survived, floating down to stay where they landed; random colors decorating the dresser, floor, and bed. Finally done and only taking enough of a break to finish her waterskin. Jancis took her sealed letter to Cici's office. The knight was sure to be there or to go there before going off duty. Afterwards Jancis returned, sitting quietly in the room with dinner ready. A small parcel was wrapped up beside it. Best way to celebrate a Nameday; least so the conjurer had been told. Dear Cici, It is always nice to bounce ideas off of you. To share my thoughts and sort out my mind. For the first time that I ever opened up to someone and was able to talk; to not simply stare at another person and utter words that felt foreign to hear. It was to you. Kind of a celebration that so many people rely and depend upon you that keeps us busy. How much life is bustling around in a frenzy of activity to be caught up in. Right now, I simply wish to settle and be calm and think about you. You are, beyond all, my dearest friend. I have spoken to many about their definition of family and what it means to them. The inherent built in need for support and loyalty; the unquestioning passion to be present and biased. Dare think that encompasses you in many forms. I know you long for your own family once more; to rebuild what you grew up knowing. Sun after sun you quietly work for others to have a chance at that luxury and I believe you will as well. Dear friend and sister you are more than a knight and more than a soldier; that you still have values and dreams makes you relate to the people and know their true intentions and follow what laws were written to uphold. When you drink, such emotion pours out. You are either happy or honest and it only makes you more endearing. I miss your accent and just talking away about fishing and sandy shores in the night, fond or wistful, and still feel the urge to make sure they still come to fruition. I have heard no other speak of the Sworn without your name; your impression and example has made a mark on the people of the Jewel and beyond without being beyond grasp. Need no exaggeration for how simple and deep your words come across. The past Turn has taught us so much. Felt love and loss, accomplishment and defeat, how to drink and what matters most. In the end of all things those that still stay beyond all our flaws are true friends. Know that even though I am not always around I think about you and I know you will be strong and smart and make the best decisions you can. That I would drop everything to be by your side, but I trust you do not need that. We do not need to drop everything; more so that we want each other opposed to require it. To Llymlaen I wrote out your name, your name, and gave it to the waves. To Rhaglr so He could destroy anything that would bring doubt and mar your memories. To Menphina because you are worthy of love and are loved. And finally to Nophica, because you are a giving, stern, supportive, and inspiring. I will always be by your side. Pray go to your room as soon as you are able, Jancis
8. My legacy lives on. The Bride Blink Thanks for inviting me - fun screenies:
9. already told her tonight about it ic so she should be showing up to check in on you ;3 Round completed! RP Unlocked!! Fantastic! Going to be so much fun. One treating or something coming right up!
10. Jancis has something of a specialty in venoms and toxins. She's built up tolerances for ones common in the Shroud. Also she's heard that Kurt got attacked by a Baritine. She also has soup he made. *nom* Um, so that's one thing for his side if you need, but again you already said that's in hand. Jancis will also answer certain calls for help from explorers, historians, not so much money relic hunters. She also has no Isgardian ties, but she can heal and is usually helpful. ((also I could just do generic archer person))
11. Did I get the time right here? http://www.worldtimebuddy.com/?qm=1&lid=5,2643743,6,8&h=2643743&date=2015-5-28&sln=3-6 Going to be a whole different world for Jancis to experience... all over again...:dazed:
12. "Do not underestimate the determination of a quiet man." Jancis within is deeply driven to survive with her intentions and dreams intact. To see a vision of herself either down or up would bring a huge drive of determination to either make it to that point or change it. As a child growing up in isolation, seeing herself now surrounded by people and out in a society she could only watch from afar would drive the girl even harder to make such a future a reality. Right now, seeing her future as an acquaintance to many would drive her to change it and become close to some and finding a like-minded person to intertwine a better future with. To stay loyal and invest her abilities into those already around her to support them. Determined to change such a future,
13. More Random Kurt Steel thank you for showing Jancis a new sight. Would have never gone there otherwise. Also Oschon fun Meli  then more friends I forget the rest Love the Sanctum. Oh hello Oscare. Also a really beautiful couple way way in the background. Cici when did... what... I mean... huh? Oh Lady Ameline, you are so cute when you laugh. With Jancis' dear friend Caen! Dogberry & Aya! Eeee! And of course random Jancis!
14. Boo work! Yay playing! Thank you for coming That's right we'll be out in Outer La Noscea next month to celebrate the Wanderer! Hot Springs, kobolds... lots of possibilities! I was floor by... well hearing about O'regan's Trail :dodgy: and just everyone's story and song it was fantastic. Even when I have some insight beforehand it really comes together lovely. Thank you so much for being there. Thank you for screenies! I'm addicted to them! 19. Unless something comes up short notice, it'd be backup. But there's no dress code for the pilgrimage and it is in a city. I suggest something that's flowy and good for a breezy summer day. Also something you probably wouldn't mind being in a tavern in. Llymlaen herself is seen as a fisherwoman so that outfit, or something blue-green like her symbol is also appropriate. But clothing is just trivial come in what makes you feel good!
20. Random Stuff! Prince-ly Bonding Quest Event with Finecia and R'lexia, that was fun as Jancis got to assist with prayers. So nice of them to invite her with! Guardian Miqo'te And very belated wedding screenies from Staelufre and L'aenoh Also the only one I have without the bride's eyes closed.
21. Woot! That sounds great! Let me know if you need anything: an IC reason, clothes, etc. There's no dress code, but I want people to make excuses to go to events and not vice versa. Fantastic! Always happy to have another blade on hand. Limsa will be a bustle of activity and sure there's lots to be gained from meeting people after the performances too. Setting up the after points for pilgrims to enjoy today; really excited for how this event will turn out and it's evening for Europe so a good turnout all around.
22. Big thank you to whomever let Zachary borrow some non-ceremonial clothes for a fun outing around Eorzea.
23. In the city-state of Limsa and across the Vylbrand island, colorful banners and flags are put up to catch the wind, taking advantage of the breeze coming through as the summer winds kicked up. Market shops were stocked with bright and feathered jewelry, charms and earrings made to look like fishing lures. Whistles made to look like fish and other novelty in theme are made to celebrate the moon of the Navigator. Out of Ul'dah, ferrymen were happy for the business, though while the rate for travelling across the way was less in goodwill to the pilgrims heading to Llymlaen's stone, the amount of people crossing made up quite a profit nonetheless. Some pilgrims shared boats with family and kin, making their own way across. From the Shroud, small shrines are left by those who cannot make the trip themselves. Old fishing poles, paintings of waves, and driftwood is left together with incense of sandalwood. Still, those of adventurous nature and the urge to see the bustle of Limsa pack up and make the trip south. In a few suns the bells will toll, the pilgrimage complete and the Celebration of the Navigator to start.
24. Random screenies from an FC event the other week.
25. Boo short notice schedule! Excited to be in Limsa again for more RP. Been seeing lots of folks in the Wench lately and it'll be fun to hit that up afterwards.
