Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster Exhibit!
Dakki replied to Tobias Nightbringer's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
Oddly enough, with 12, I grouped it in to three seperate stories. Vaan & Penelo, Ashe & Basch and Balthier & Fran. You then pick which story you wanted to follow and enjoy the ride. I personally loved Basch and Ashe. As for this thread... MERRH, I WANT THIS GAAAAAAME! *Tears off own face in desperocity* -
For the sake of not wanting to spoil things for people that have not reached this fight yet, I shall warn you. DO NOT WATCH THIS. <3 I'm not sure how the spoiler tag system works with Youtube videos. 0F6B5wS84CU So, yes. My favourite piece in the entire game is Garuda's theme. For me, it really makes the fight. It could be argued Garuda is my favourite boss FOR this music (though her fight is also pretty sweet, all three of them. ) Just... Everything about this music is what I'd want in a character theme. "Now fall..."

Yeah, I find that the EU has nicer vanity items and they also have an emote tab in the shop area, but it has nothing in it, so I dunno if that means they plan on implementing new emotes to purchase...wish it were a walk button they were implementing. I'll most likely go onto the US version I'm buying ESO once it comes out, I really enjoyed beta but it seems like it needs quite a bit of work in certain aspects. I've been checking out the TSW videos on youtube and it's seriously appealing, especially if there's so much RP in it. I know! And this one-time payment thing only helps to make it more appealing. For my character concept, there really is only one society: Illuminati.
-
This. Can't say much at all because of the NDA, but this.
-
Sounds like the nearest thing to actually being in a secret society. But who would ever wish for that, eh? Ahaha... Ha... *Shifty eyes* I might have to give it a go.
-
... *Ears shoot up* Sabotage, you say? Eheheheheh... Now I'm intrigued.
-
Are there servers of TSW, or? If there are, I'd love to know which you two are on... :surprise: And if you have space for an Illuminati Medic (I have not thought any further just yet as I haven't bought the game...), I'll be considering joining you.

Assault rifle healing sounds... Interesting. *Shoots* "Get up, sissy! It was only a calf shot!" Ever since SWTOR, I have loved the concept of a pistol-wielding medic whom uses needles to heal with a powerful neurotoxins for a special surprise on the enemy. (He was my main character in all aspects of the game. Loved him!) One of my favourite quotes from him ever: "S-... Sir! That has to be unethical!" "Being a part of Imperial Intelligence has it's boons." *Administers a critical overdose to a surrendering Republic ambassador* Now, for games you can find me on (games I have retired from shall be marked with a *. I only play one pay-to-play game at a time): - Star Wars: The Old Republic* - Begeren Colony (subject to change upon return) - Guild Wars 2 - Piken Square - World of Warcraft* - Argent Dawn - Rift* - I cannot remember my server... Uhm... I am also known to play a medley of other Free-to-Play MMOs, though I usually get more enjoyment out of pay-to-plays. I just... Do.
-
I was not aware The Secret World existed. It looks absolutely awesome! Question, I played an Imperial Operative in SWTOR, and as such love healing with gadgets and needles. Would this kind of healing be available in TSW? I know there are no classes, but do such healing methods (or healing at all) exist?

You sneaky person beating me to posting! But yeah here is a mostly accurate status of Unity's endgame. The third group, Aether, is actually currently in the process of forming, so now is an excellent time to get involved! It is a 'safe-space progression guild'; which really boils down to mean that we're an eclectic bunch, who are serious about raiding/endgame progression. We do regular Coil (at least one of our groups is working on t5 now) and EX Primal runs. It's a pretty chill/patient/supportive environment and while we're an OOC FC, we have a lot of RPers in the company ranging from Light-Heavy. Feel free to peruse our Unity site. And drop an app in if you're interested! Illira, you have messaging blocked, so I must reply on here! I'm actually extremely glad you popped up on the thread as I was just talking to Jana and she said that you would be someone to go to for further information. But rather than ask you for further information, I figured I'd give you some more information on me. Namely, my availability for RP/End-game content. Main Character: Asgarn Wastbyrtsyn Main Class: White Mage (Item Level 82) Timezone: GMT (I am available Monday evenings through til Thursday evenings, the occasional Friday, dependant on work, and weekends.) Notable Gear: Most of the Royal Vest set, Allagan Circlet and Boots of Healing, Thyrus Zenith, Hero's Necklace of Healing, Astral Ring, all other accessories are Darklight and working on them. Current Progression: Binding Coil Turn 1 - 3 Completed, Learning Turn 4, Garuda EX Completed. Uhm... I'm aspiring more towards the Allagan set than the Cleric set for the pure fact Roegadyn look like crap in the Cleric set and look quite good in the Allagan set. Of course, if I am required to go Cleric, I shall. Though, from what I see, they even out stat-wise. So, if there's anything you wish to ask, feel free! I try my best to be hospitable and genuine at all times, so I won't bite. :moogle:

Soooo... I logged in a couple days back to see perhaps the most demonic, possessed looking Lalafell being square on with my screen, staring straight at me. Naturally, I took it to paint and made this: "Behold, for I am Roegadyn Jesus! You shall not harm these innocents, Garuda!" Finally, a screenshot I did not intend to take, but am glad I somehow did. If it does exist, this forum is the lush green pasture from which it grazes. ._. Though, roleplaying is negotiable.

Hey, guys. In recent weeks, I have been looking for a free company that was RP-related (thanks a lot for all the replies to that, by the way!). However, what with me now feeling like I've found the group of people I would like to RP with most and not needing a free company to do so, my trail of thought has changed ever so slightly. I'm interested in an end-game free company with progressive raiding (and could ideally teach and bare with me as I learn Turn 4 and Twintania in the Binding Coil of Bahamut). There are two main reasons I decided to ask on these forums, rather than in-game hotspots such as Mor Dhona: 1. Everyone here is so awesome, I reckon I'd have more chance of finding the patient criteria here. To elaborate, I have not yet defeated Turn 4, yet I have an okay grasp on the strategy. 2. Wouldn't it be super awesome if there was a free company out that that did both end-game content and roleplaying?! This place strikes me as the most likely place for that, if such an awesome thing exists. Soooo... /shout Lonely, orphaned Roegadyn WHM seeks loving, compassionate raiding free company. Roleplay preferred, but not necessary! :moogle:

By the twelve, what have I stumbled upon...!
Dakki replied to Totoroki Sasaroki's topic in Welcome Desk
Greetings, you incredibly excitable bundle of joy! (It's a good thing!) I can tell by your first post, you're going to fit in fine here. If you ever need anybody to totally nerdgasm with about ANY game in the Final Fantasy series, I'm your Roegadyn. :moogle: Anyhoo! You'll find that everyone here is extremely accommodating and will answer any questions you might have about RP in FFXIV or just anything at all! We're a knowledgeable bunch spread across many fields, I find. So, ask us anything, and I'm certain you'll get an answer. I hope you enjoy you stay and (should you ever migrate to Balmung) look forward to seeing you in-game! -
I actually really like that idea. :surprise: It might have to be toned down slightly, purely because I could see it being a case of "THE LEAGUE OF EXTRAORDINARY BARDS ARE HAVING A MEETING IN MOR DHONA!", they all mount up, everybody's PC blows up from the lag. (I mean, Mor Dhona is arguably the highest populated zone at peak time, plus the countless effects that said mount would require.) But still, I like it a lot. I suppose for other class mounts, they might be: Paladin - A white chocobo in "valiant steed"-like barding. Like the white steeds of old, but in bird form. Black Mage - Bomb. Already said this. GIEF BOMB! Monk - Some form of coeurl in barding (unlike the current "nude coeurl" as I like to call it). I cannot think of much else for a Monk. Warrior - A darker version of the Paladin mount, maybe more spikes. Because spikes are cool. Summoner - Your choice of Primal to ride and CRUSH YOUR FOES. Ha, I kid. I was thinking perhaps Fenrir, the moon avatar. I mean, he's a cool looking wolf, about mount size. Could work! The rest, I'm not so sure what they would have. :geek:

I was not aware what I said about the WoW system was so deeply offensive that it would invoke such furious correction, but... Okay, if that's the case, I'm sorry? :dazed: Posted by K'ailia - Today 09:36 PM I know a lot of people, myself included, would like to use some of the items you got from the lightning returns event, for vanity. What gladiator/paladin wouldn't want to use the gunblade for their main weapon as they level? So I just pray whatever they go with, doesn't require destroying/disabling the item. Cuz that would really be sad. Oddly enough, I actually prefer Fang's Spear. But then, Oerba Yun Fang has always been my favourite character of FFXIII. Shame she came as part of a two-pack... *Stabs Vanille* Also, pretty much seconding everything you mentioned in this post. Though, I could see disabling of the original making sense. (Note: I did not say I want them to disable the original, but rather I could see where they would be coming from.)
-
Color me intrigued. *Advances, marker pen in hand* Sounds like a great idea, Artorias.
-
That we are all, in fact, imps? :? But yes, in all seriousness, if engaging combat would cancel the effect of the vanity system I can see Square having many an angry gamer on their hands. Personally, I would love to see Square Enix employ the vanity system that games such as Rift had going. By this, I mean your character effectively equips two sets; one for in-game stats, one for appearance. And, of course, you have the option to turn off the vanity set and just wear what you have equipped "for the stats". I found this system to be extremely sweet and, when compared to World of Warcrafts "I now sacrifice this piece of gear to the mighty Etherials so that it might lend it's appearance to my end-game piece (but of course, only if it's of green quality or higher)!", would be an excellent way to implement the vanity system.

How did I only just discover this!? Asgarn is currently around the Ul'dah/Central Thanalan/Thanalan area ICly and looking for contact. Send me a tell if you'd like to roleplay for a bit!

As a collector of mounts and minions alike, I have oddly enough had a list of what I would like to see as a mount. So, without further ado: - Chained Hecatoncheir: Hecatoncheir are the giants found in the Copperbell Mines. The Goobue mounts have already proven that this game has the base model for a shoulder-sitting mount. Plus, from a lore standpoint, the giants -DID- once have mind controlling helmets on, what's to say we cannot control one once more? Sure, those helmets broke eventually, costing many miners their lives but... Small cost for a new mount, no? - Bomb: You heard me right. I want a Bomb as a mount. White Mages get a Unicorn, why couldn't Black Mages have a Bomb? It is shown in 2.0 that Bombs can be conjured via aetherial thaumaturgy (ie. the Cherry Bomb minion) and given that said minion does not detonate every time you summon it, it's safe to assume you can have a bomb "on your side". If it's still hostile... RED WIRE OR THE BLUE WIRE!? - Glacial Coeurl: "But we already have the Coeurl as a mount!", I hear you cry. Whilst this may be true, I am speaking of the Wanted Target during Coerthas levequests. This is a snow white coeurl whom's more lizard-like features are black. He also has an awesome pair of horn things either near or sprouting from them the coeurl's signature whiskers. (It's been a while. I don't remember entirely.) - Multi-Coloured Chocobos: Kind of a staple in the Final Fantasy games. Give us red! Give us blue! Give us black! I would also love to see a verdant green or purple chocobo. ALL THE CHOCOBOS! :chocobo::chocobo::chocobo::chocobo::chocobo::chocobo::chocobo::chocobo: - Citizen Snips (Red) / Mr. Pinch (Blue): Two colour variations of the same mount, a crab mount. I'm not fussy on which model they use (the smoother, rounder model as seen with the Smallshell or the rougher, angrier looking Snipper model). I imagine sitting on these mounts would be the same poses as the Ahriman mount. - Mog: We get Cait Sith as a minion. Where there is Cait Sith so, too, must there be MOG! Others: - Peiste - Aldgoat - Raptor Also, completely un-related. I would like some additional races for my Market Retainers. Most notably, Qiqirn and Goblins.

"A Hooked Husband"... Is Ulanan a bunny boiler? :surprise:

Hello, everyone! I found myself with some free time today and a peculiar question popped in to my head, one which I honestly have no idea how to answer. In an attempt to phrase the question in as a coherent way as possible: "Are there any other sub-races to the races of Eorzea?" One would presume that there is a possibility of other sub-races, though Square Enix found it only suitable to tell us about those in Eorzea (as they are the ones we would be playing). Or did they? See, with the whole concept of Garlemald and the Garlean Empire being of a "conquer and convert" militaristic mindset, Square Enix have told us as much as Garlemald has conquered many far off realms, or that is how I read their story. And, as is shown in the Garlean ranks, they are comprised of many different races. My main query is that, with so many far-off realms, surely -other- sub-races would exist of the races we've grown to know and love. In Eorzea alone, there are a diverse number of landscapes and beliefs. Would it be so hard to believe that another sub-race developed through differences in said beliefs and adaptations to their environment? (ie. A new Miqo'te Tribe, a different Lalafell "-folk" or not even "-folk" in name altogether.) So, this got my creative juices flowing and here I am! Just wondering if anybody knows anything about this possibility, or alternatively if Square Enix have said dismissively this is not the case. Also, if anyone would like to throw in their two cents about what they think, feel welcome to! All opinions are welcome.

Figured I would pop in. I am not one for character theme songs as I am not exactly -good- at deciding these things (as you will likely tell from my choices! Haha... Ha). So, to start with, Belmont's theme tune. This is pretty much the instrumental backing to one of my favourite songs by one of my favourite artists. It is also not, strictly, a "theme tune" but rather what I imagine playing in some of the fast-paced combat sequences I have written in to Mister Corwell's storyline. So, uh... Yeah! *Throws video* 1yEBfn9Yr94 Now, Asgarn has a couple. One for when he gets his charm on... Could it be any other? (Oh my... *Loosens collar* A bit hot in here.) QrdodVksOC0 Now, for his main theme, so to speak. This speaks for his character on an emotional level. As not many think that under Asgarn's relatively charismatic and bravado-stoked exterior, he has thoughts he does not show. The title of the track "Face It Later" is precisely what he is doing in terms of confronting his greatest fear. Oh yeah, HE HAS LAYERS!: AurEsvg-cRg Lastly, whenever one of my characters has an emotional moment, I like to put this on. Don't look at me that way. FiryjP_EeAU

Awwh, it's great to see that you're gonna become part of the ever-growing Gilgamesh. I am not certain of the rules in terms of servers when roleplaying on these forums, as I am yet to break the third wall, but if we can cross-server roleplay on here, maybe we'll see you around there! Also, it's not like we Balmungians won't be around. As you likely know, if you ask a question on these forums, you are likely to be bombarded with answers of the kindest variety, so we'll see you about! Still, the invitation stands. If you're ever on Balmung, /tell us and we'll get you in to some of our weekly events! Have fun! :moogle: P.S. Balmung has it's own Roegadyn Linkshell. ROEGADYN MASTER RACE! *Ahem*

Especially if you mash some potatoes up, throw some chips in there, followed by those cheesey-potato-y fried things. Then scoop it all up with a pringle and ram it in your face. ... By gah, that sounds like a carb-induced heart attack. One second, I need to go detox for even thinking of it.
