Lots and lots of expensive gemstones. Diamonds, and Emeralds, and Rubies, and... and... you get the idea. Large ones. Also your pants, ifsomebodyhadn'tbeatenmetothesamejokealready...

Myllor was initially raised as a swordsman intending to go down a path somewhere between that of a Knight, and that of a Samurai. Initially he was trained in the sword only, and taught the bow and spear as part of a balanced repertoire. This leads me to believe he was more of a Samurai, as he did not wear heavy armor, or a shield, and was to be trained in the bow. His training stopped when he was 10, and he lost his father stereotypically, and he traveled, honing his skills with the blade. Samurai at this point. Later in his travels, after completing what he set out to do, he learned some 'old-school' conjury. It was more focused on controlling the elements, and a minor bit of healing. There was no mention of the 'elementals' because he was not in the Black Shroud. So Samurai/Conjurer at this point. Red Mage if he had combined the skills, but he never did in combat. Next he entered Ul'dah, and there he picked up a shield and started wearing heavy armor to protect his comrades. He is more of a Knight at this point, leaning Paladin. After he learns of white magic, he is a full-fledged Paladin. He spends a lot of time in Coerthas, however, and having a base amount of training involving lances/spears/javelins, he does a bit of studying with the Dragoons and the Lancers in Gridania. I have used his ability to navigate a mountain, and nimbly ascend said terrain in my rps before, so while I wouldn't call him a Dragoon, he has learned some of their arts, and could potentially be formidable with a lance/spear. Now a Paladin. After the time-skip, he hangs up his shield, and wears less armor, preferring to hide what he has under a cloak. He has also switched back to his traditional greatsword/longsword, (Maybe Katana, but none that he has yet) and has stopped using white magic as well, so he's fallen back into Samurai, with influence from Dragoon. Oh, and he's done work with Naldiq & Vymelli's all his years in Eorzea, so he's a top-notch smith of both armor, weapons, and ship-building. He's an avid miner for Amajina and Sons, and as a result of both, he developed a passion for masonry, building houses of stone. Out of this, evolved a necessity of woodworking, and he's taken up carving in his spare time. Of which there is little. Also he plants and picks flowers. Sometimes. Also also, he learned how to cook, but he's no wizard in the kitchen. heheheh TLDR: In order of effectiveness: DoL: Miner, Botanist DoH: Armorer, Blacksmith, Carpenter, Culinarian DoM: White Mage/Conjurer (Mostly healing, but he uses Wind, Lightning, and Fire Magic, ala original Conjurer concept. He is not a black mage.) DoW: Samurai, Paladin, Dragoon *Phew*

Now that you're artist of the month.... I might just like one. =o lmao I kid. I always liked your stuff, and would like to pop onto this list, if you haven't closed it. lol Congrats on Artist of the Month, tho~

Myllor has ties to guilds in all three cities, as well as to Ishgardians around a few specific hamlets, some dragoons, some knights, etc etc. (Intentionally vague~) So I picked none, as he's living in Limsa for some of the time skip, he was enlisted in the Immortal Flames, and I would have picked Ul'dah pre-calamity, but now he just sort of works around all three. The least represented likely being Gridania. He spends alot of time in Limsa with his smithing, and Soliloquy.
-
I went with middle class. While Myllor was wealthy enough to probably have been considered 'high class' he never lived like high class. Besides, if it pans out the way I believe it will, Myllor will have lost his stock-piled fortune, and his smithing wares to a bad investment, and repossession~ So he'll have the skills to start making money again, but he'll be living humbly near the beginning of ARR.

Dev. Blog - Soundtrack II: The Wrath of Knee-Sokahn
Myllor replied to Mtoto Wamoto's topic in FFXIV News
I'm so ridiculously happy there is going to be a lore forum. There's so many things I'd like to know about the five year time skip and the makings of linkpearls, and so many other things. -
I. Basic Info Characters:Myllor Aurelion, Kikianna Aurelion Ronaylek Kram, H'nako, H'sao, Primary character:Myllor Aurelion Linkshells:None yet Primary RP linkshell:None yet II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Heavy, although I do enjoy doing game content with a group of non-rp players. Views on RP combat and injuries: RP combat can be alot of fun, but it's very easy to fall into god-mod category, as nobody wants to come across as weak. This can be accomplished by setting general rules for engagements, but all in all it makes things feel clunky. I personally enjoy rping combat with said limitations, but I don't like random elements like rolling for contact, and getting screwed over by /random. lol As for injuries, they are also preference based. On one extreme end of the spectrum, there are people who consistently almost die and spend alot of time recuperating. There are also people on the other extreme end, who cut down waves of enemies, and rarely if ever even take a scratch. I personally feel that on occasion your character may be unprepared for some such engagement, and he/she catches a stray blast of magic. There is little defense against this, outside having an ally shield you, and so you take damage. Albeit a burn, an arrow, a slice while crossing blades, an enemy pulls out a weapon you weren't prepared for, etc. In these occasions injuries are unavoidable. With the presence of in game healing magic, however, even modest debilitating injuries can be healed in a modest period of time, and are thus not a game ender. Views on IC romance: IC romance is a part of the immersion in a world. Some people will draw lines at some content (FTB, etc), while others may enjoy the... more private matters of this subject. For the romance itself, I'm all for it. Myllor ultimately intends on marrying and having a family to pass on his knowledge to. I'm not personally an ERPer, though I have no problem with those that do. Just keep it someplace private, and don't force people to acknowledge such things in public in game areas. Myllors sister, Kikianna, however, has no interest in such frivolous things. Maybe if things work out in just the right way, she might develop feelings for some guy she meets, but as of now, no interest. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Again, I like it for the possibility it has of actually existing. It is plausible, and not immersion breaking, and thus should be embraced. I personally have two seperate brother-sister pairs. Midlander Hyurs who as of ARR are 31 and 33, and Moon keeper Miqo'te who are 19 and 21. For players who join the game together, and can collaborate on a backstory, I think it's a really cool thing to be able to rp in real time with another player playing as a sibling of very close friend/pseudo sibling. Views on lore: Lore is the guidelines for rp. If it is not precedented by tangible in game lore, then it is not feasible. I recall from early 1.0 xiv that somebody once met a player who claimed to be 'the princess from the mainland'. This is ludacris and completely unprecedented. Also in game empires. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I'm not sure what this is asking, but /say and /shout (And /yell?) are things said out loud that anybody else can hear canonically. /linkshell is words that, while spoken out loud, are absorbed into the linkpearl, and not heard by people in close proximity. This is because people in close proximity who are not in said linkshell, cannot actually hear what you are saying in game. III. Other Info Country:United States of America; New York Timezone:EST (UTC -5) Contact info:In-game, Soliloquy Mumble, and the group rpc skype chat.

Woah woah woah woah woah. What happened here!? Should I hunt Mtoto down? Or is this too old 1.0 to be applicable? =P

Myllor grins as he spots his opening, Mtoto's antics. "My apologies for the noise." He brandishes his blade, and leaps skyward. As he descends, he aims his blade at the weakened right shoulder joint, and his feet at the monstrosities upper chest. As he lands, the creature begins to lurch back forward, throwing off his aim. He stomps down hard just beneath the Dullahans neck, bowing in the metal ring around where its head once sat. The Dullahans weakened knees buckle, bend, and break beneath the weight, and it falls back onto its back with a rigid cracking. He plants his blade into the monsters right shoulder joint, and cracks it open as simply as one would crack open a can. "There we are, mostly disabled." Myllor turns to the other arm, expecting it to be flying his way, but it lays limp on the ground.

Ooooooh, I love me some Civ V! =D

As much as I haven't been a very large member of the community in the past (I'm trying to stay more connected!), I offer my skills in wading through heaping piles of $#!T. It's probably my only good leadership quality, mediation. lol

Myllor watches the Miqo'te clad in white leave. As he does he reaches for the hilt of his blade, almost as if to be sure it is there. He shakes his head in slight disbelief before returning his attention to the party picking themselves up. Rather than jump in and help others, he instead resumes leaning against the stone wall, idly caressing the hilt of the blade visible over his shoulder. He cracks his neck briefly, and continues to observe, before turning his attention to the entrance of the Deepcroft. He watches the guard come back out of the deepcroft, and debates momentarily if he should forge ahead and extract information from the man about the mysterious miqo'te clad in white, but opts not to, instead observing him as he sets back up at the entrance. Myllor next turns his attention to Endemerrin, and watches as he pokes at the Dullahan. He contemplates stopping him, in the event it is a live one, but instead grabs the hilt of his blade, and prepares for battle. When the creature begins to stir, Myllor immediately leaps skyward up onto the walls that surround the entrance, and prepares to leap down at his foe. As Endemerrin begins to engage the first Dullahan with the Axe, Myllor observes it from above.
-
Myllor pauses and looks back, quizzically. She sure acts like Mtoto... "As I have said, she was a close acquaintance of mine some seven cycles ago. Like most of my friends, she disappeared approximately five cycles ago. Why?" He looks back over his shoulder at the Miqo'te, scanning her several times from head to tail. I'm 80% sure that's Mtoto, but I've seen doppelgangers before...
-
Myllor reels back slightly, as if Mtoto had just stabbed him. He pauses for a moment, before leaning forward again, and addressing the Miqo'te he'd confused for Mtoto. "I'm sorry, I believe I've confused you with an acquaintance of mine from close to seven bells ago. Her name was Mtoto Wamoto." He nods a brief apology, before turning to head back to the others.
-
Myllor nods to Hope. "Yes, though I haven't seen him since then. I'll remind him." He returns his attention to Xenedra. "But you haven't answered any of my questions, where have you all been? You just vanished that day at the Carteneau Flats-" He is interrupted by the careening female Roegadyn, and starts to move before seeing Zesiro position himself to 'catch' her. She is larger than she looked. He moves Xenedra away from it by her shoulders so the commotion did not crash into her. He finally remembers to let go of Xenedra as he shields his eyes from a glare a newcomer accidentally reflected into the pairs faces. He ducks out of the glare, and begins to pace towards the tangle of people from the accident. Yet before he gets a chance to step away from the wall, he turns back to retrieve his blade from the stone it had lodged itself in. After the Miqo'te blinding him makes her entrance, he takes a good look at her face from behind his shades. "Oy, so Mtoto was with you!" He paces away from the disheveled pile of human bowling pins, and paces over to interrupt Mtoto. "Still all business, I see..?" He looks her over curiously.
-
"Then you are Xenedra and Endemerrin... by the gods, I thought you were all dead..." He drops his blade when she pulls him into a hug, and it plants itself in a stone used to pave the ground beneath them. "I... Wait, how did you survive? And where have you been?" He looks down at his garb. "Alot... has changed."
-
Myllor turns his head to face the red haired miqo'te as she also comes careening into the entrance, albeit in a much more controlled manner. He chuckles briefly. "No, no hard feelings." He looks her over a moment as well, but is interrupted by the male miqo'te's entrance. Zesiro comes down the path sheathing his familiar blade. He turns back to the two that already arrived. "Here with a whole party, eh?" As Zesiro pads in, he does a quick motions to a greeting, and responds. "Ho there, Zesiro. I see you're taking care of your blade." He turns to the young girl that scampered in behind Zesiro. "You may. You're the child from Little Ala Mhigo. Hope, right?" He chuckles at the rocks comment. He looks around to the small party around him, and smiles unseen behind his collar. He once more double checks the two that arrived before.
-
The man seems unfazed after watching the spectacle before him. He plants his blade in the ground, and begins to brush the dirt off his outfit. "What's the rush?" The man looks Endemerrin over from behind his dark shades.
-
A man waits near the entrance to Tam-tara Deepcroft in sunglasses, a black haori, with a gold-thread lining kept together in the front by a black leather strap, and a tall collar obscuring the lower half of his face. Beneath it a Darksteel Breastplate is visible, with gold ornamentation. He wears black leather gauntlets, a pair of bowed darksteel metal shoulderguards with gold ornamentation, and shoes with darksteel plating on them, and black pants. His right hand is holding the hilt of a very large single edged sword that he rests on his shoulder, while his left arm is missing, and his sleeve drifts in the wind. His hair is swept up to the top of his head from both sides, streaked with grey, and his face is rough and beaten. He waits quietly.

Well, it's been so long since I've RPed, but I do have a hankering to get back into it. These are his general opinions, barring any new situations. To those in the negatives, It's Myllors opinions, of course. I don't dislike any of you. I need to meet new people. lol [spoil]Mtoto (4): Previously his commander, and skilled on the field, Myllor respects her. Also a prior love interest. Xenedra (4): The woman he has the closest non-professional relationship. Closer in the past, recent events have created space. Talulah (3): A prior love interest, that straight flat-lined. Respectable character, and skilled on the field. Illias (3): A solid footed, righteous minded ally, one Myllor could relate to. Disappeared inexplicably moons ago. Miname (2): A motherly figure with a good attitude and drive. One of few Lalafells Myllor knows and respects. Tahrara (1): He is sympathetic to her plight, but is mostly in the dark as to her recent whereabouts. Endemerrin (1): Originally believed to be a man of similar morals, he is slightly bitter about a recent turn of events. Voltair (0): He knows little of him, but his attitude seemed favorable. There seems to be something darker beneath the surface. Shurin (0): He remembers little of Shurin, asides the fact that he was a comrade. Kneria (0): Fairly uneventful relationship. Nothing of note. Casual Acquaintances. Oskar (-1) Previously a very pompous fellow Captain. Still an unfavorable outlook, but time has smoothed things over. Endricane (-2): His limited experience with him mostly consisted of poorly worded japes, and ill-fitting humor. Ceres (-2): Rough character, difficult to get along with. Deirdre (-3): Very unstable person, of questionable heritage. Once stabbed him in the hand with a quill upon being woken up. Zolku (-4): Betrayed his trust, and that of his closest friends. Truly screwed up after receiving so much assistance in his troubles. Likely Myllors closest male comrade before his fall from grace[/spoil]

Yeah, this sounds like a ton of fun! Can't wait~
