I'll have to swing on by, and check it out. Be a part of the crowd.

Spear throw from across the map, no scope style, right at your bow. You cant escape it. On a more serious note, this sounds awesome. I want in!

Meta, on the other hand, became quite close with several varities of bugs. All of who wished to make sure he had enough stings, bites, and poison to make doctors scratch there heads on how he survived.

Apologies for the disappearing act last night. As Lillith said, we needed to hit the hay asap.
-
Should Oubliette be worried? Considering who Lillith is, pleased may a better word.

Agreed. Saturday was amazing. Felt good to cleave off that crow's arm. Can't wait for the next event.

While I have little knowledge on other jobs and their limitations, I do know that anyone can be a dragoon as it is a title earned for claiming a kill on an actual dragon. However, the dragoon we all know and love in FFXIV is actually the Azure Dragoon, in which there can only be one. In the story, your character breaks that trend by awakening the powers of one while there is already an Azure Dragoon around. Light lore lesson aside, it's pretty much highlander. There should only be one Dragoon with magical jump powers, blessed to him by the soul gem he carries. Which is a bummer because Dragoons are cool.

First, last night's mini event was fantastic. Second, I am always down for more before the big show on Saturday. The build up would only make things that much sweeter. The idea of giving everyone a chance to be in the spotlight is also very cool, and I'm certain would help get a number of people psyched for Saturday.

Customize a limit break only YOUR character could do
Meta Xi replied to Pumpkinweed's topic in RP Discussion
I wish I had seen this thread sooner. I love making over the top Limit breaks! Level 1 - Heaven Fall Using the aether around him, Meta will burst forward in a powerful dash and pierce a target with his spear, transferring all his energy into the target and unleashing the gathered aether into an explosive force that harms the target and stunning them for a short time, while damaging nearby enemies for lesser damage and slowing them down. (The attack has a very high potency on the initial target and stuns them for 5 seconds. Nearby targets take only a small amount of damage, but are inflicted with heavy for 6 seconds.) Level 2 - Rhythm of the Earth Moving into the flow and pace of battle, Meta forces others to work at his pace and denies them control of the fight. (Enemies nearby by Meta are heavied and given paralysis. Meta cannot be bound, heavied, slowed, slept, knocked backed, or stunned during the duration of this Limit break.) Level 3 - 1000 Men, a Single Strike Meta let's the aether course through his whole being, letting it enhance all that he does as he strikes forward with a unstoppable barrage mirroring the might of an army. (Every buff has its bonuses doubled, and Life Surge's healing effect is applied to every attack Meta makes. Any time Meta makes an attack, the damage and effect dealt is applied to the target again a second after the initial strike. These effects last the duration of the LB.) -
I'll have to make sure my schedule is clear!

Man I wish I had popcorn for that read. Anyway, I think this sounds awesome. I certainly would like to get involved in some form or another, but I'll need a hook.

I've only got a few, but here they are. Often goes to scratch his chin whenever he is contemplating something to himself. Has a tendency to inspect a room he is to stay in, even when there's no justification for it. He's sometimes stumped to find words in casual conversation, which can lead to awkward pauses. He often spends a bit of his free time riding about on his chocobo. Meta never downs his drinks and often nurses the first one he orders until it's time to leave. This was actually a very fun list to make. I'll have to think of more of the little things he does as time goes on.

Apologies Jana, I wish I had seen you, however I was attempting to do the same as you and interact after the fight, which ironically enough, I met with the same hardship you did. In fairness, I offered to be a crow to aid in the event and let it play out for others, but Meta had been there prior to the role change. In the end, it was a rather frustrating trying to interact. The only advice I can offer is try again, and be persistent. Sometimes it pays to have presence over time. Apologies that It didn't go as well as you had hoped.
-
In the same boat as Jana. Should be able to figure something out, and I'll keep an eye open for anyone before the event starts.
-
I just need to get Meta to encounter a crow, or have someone looking for Adventurers/Mercenaries to aid with the problem. Need to get on that. Still very excited for this whole event though.

What would you do if you got stuck in Final Fantasy?

Finally, my years of swordsmanship would be of use! Not sure how well it would work out as none of the classes utilize my particular style though. Ehh, what's the worst that could happen? -
Your Character's Weapons/Artifacts and How They Acquired Them
Meta Xi replied to Dat Oni's topic in Character Workshop
Meta's weapon is nothing more than the latest ornate stick from Rowena and friends wears. The weapon has fared him well so far, and it is his hope it will continue to do so until he finds something else more to his liking. -
So. . . you know that thing I do occasionally? Round 3?
Meta Xi replied to Askier's topic in RP Discussion
Here I have been, excited as a kitten to be a part of this whole thing, and real life has kept me so busy, I couldn't even get a chance to investigate. I must rectify this immediately! -
/obligatory slowpoke is slow Rowena's shop has been my go to answer for Meta's armor. Heck, I even spent the coin and effort for the dyeable version of the original Dragoon set to really send the point home. Also, because it looks spiffy. Rowena is pretty much an IC lore reason as to why anyone can have certain pieces of gear. If I recall correctly, it's actually some noble in Ishgard who funds the replicas and gives them to Rowena, who in turn sends the noble the tomestones we collect. Don't quote me on that.

From what I'm reading, it seems the general experience for extremes is on a basic level. Some people have cleared the three basic, others, have only done one or two, some haven't even started them. Hard mode may be the best choice. Extremes do require some sense of coordination, and I don't think most players wish to continuously wipe against the primals. Personally, I saw we straight up do em all, extreme mode, blind folded, without a screen, in another room.
