Why not? The majority of the people here are Legacy characters. We don't want to have to start our characters all over again so that we can roll on a new RP server. If they /didn't/ make the RP server a legacy server, that's what would have to happen. We're always willing to help new people level, and if we're going to be helping new players out, that's a GREAT way to have RP.

Look at it this way, though. You don't want this to become a popularity contest, which is what it could become if you used real gil. If you don't use real gil, no one's' feelings get hurt because no one is using real gil anyway. I think the event went off great the last time we did it with no real gil.

I'm happy that I have a wonderful group of online friends who have very quickly become my Real Life friends. I'm happy that I get to meet new people in just a few days (I'm looking at you, Endri.) I'm happy that I'll get to go to Busch Gardens on Saturday, I'll finally do karaoke after a long while, and that school will be over for me on the 14th. I'm happy that the people I associate with are great people, are good to each other, and do what makes them happy. I'm happy that I have 4 wonderful animals, and a wonderful husband. I'm happy that I'm gonna finally have a dishwasher by the end of the day. There's a lot in my life to be happy about. :moogle:

Yeah, it's nice because you can place your pearls on jewelry and such, and they glow when someone is trying to contact you. It makes a great reason for the ability to have long distance communication.

Hey all! Nel has a great idea! She would like to get together once a month and run a movie night through her livestream. We can all kick back, watch a movie together, and have a good time. We've done this exact event in XIV before, and the bidding didn't go on forever. No one used real gil, and everyone basically had a hard limit ahead of time, and didn't go over their limit. It would make sense if everyone went ahead and picked a hard limit before the event, and then registered it with the event people. Then, they can't overbid, it won't take too long, and no one has to feel that they're forking over real gil. It's win/win. But yes, this is a fun event, and I would be all for doing it again.
