Hey everyone! Blue Skies is hoping to get some interactions going with characters old and new, alike, so we thought it'd be fun to have a bit of an IC meet and greet during this weekend's beta run. Since they've announced that new players can't make characters on Balmung for this weekend, we want to host the event on Gilgamesh to get the best possible turn out. Here's the break down: Who: Hosted by Blue Skies for all beta rpers! What: Meet and greet of sorts. Think of it as a "Hey! We've got free drinks, come hang out! Maybe we'll go exploring!" Where: Gilgamesh Server, starting in Costa del Sol, La Noscea When: Saturday! Official time? We'll go for 5 EST and onward, though I will likely be hanging around earlier in the day. I'm rabid for some RP! Why: Fun! Friends! Character practice! I understand a few groups aren't wanting to start rp yet and that's fine, we certainly won't hold it against you, but we'd like to meet as many of our new members and catch up with as many old ones as possible, so we hope to see you there! (As a note, you have to be level 15 and done up to that level in story quests (aka gained airship access) to get to costa del sol if you don't start in Limsa. If people can't get to 15 by the time of the event, I suggest making an second iteration of your character as a marauder so you start in Limsa : ).)

Me, me, me, me, me! I've been roleplaying Xenedra as a bard and all around performer since her creation and there's no way I'm stoppin' now. She is quite bewitched by music and dance~. I was also very in love with the bard job in 1.0. We were rather useful in a lot of situations, but there were a few where we weren't. Most of that had to do with server lag and casting/shooting animations though, so hopefully we won't have that issue this time around! As a side note of my own, I'm trying to start a LS for performing arts in Eorzea. If you'd be interested in such a thing, please check it out HERE .

There was a bit of discrepancy over who was supposed to post the minutes, since we sort of had to juggle chat moderation for a bit. They should be up pretty soon, though!

In 1.0 I personally found freelancing to be pretty easy toward the end of things, but I did know a lot of people to begin with. As far as a place for character bios, a bunch of us tend to use the Wiki. There's a fair amount more formatting involved than just a forum section, but it kinda looks classy, right? If you need help with that, there's a guide HERE and I believe also on the wiki itself.

Awe, don't be afraid! Honestly everyone I know here is reeeeally excited to see all the new faces! We want new friends to RP with :3. I'm always up for RP as well, so don't hesitate to ambush me in game (Xenedra Ambreaus) or on skype (dreadpiratexen).

I definitely want to have an event like this. RPing out dancing and singing can be more difficult to make interesting, but not impossible! I'm hoping we can accomplish this~ And storytelling always seems to be popular :>
