Xenedra shrugs calmly and adopts a ditzy expression for just a moment, "You think he was talking about me? I thought he was referring to Mr. Barracuda~" She nods toward the hulking Roegadyn man at the table, "He does get ALL the ladies~. Don't worry about it, sugar. It's how he shows affection. He's really trying to tell me how attractive he finds me." She winks at the grouchy Lalafell and blows him a kiss.

Xenedra watched the girl test out the drink with a half smirk, "I'm sure that will be a very informative meeting." It had been a near shot in the dark, of course, after seeing the girl tromp over from the direction of a somewhat familiar figure with a somewhat familiar stance, but she had assumed the girl's father was Yssen. The strawberry wine and the coin-acrobatics confirmed it. She wondered if the girl was aware of just how many hints she'd dropped as to her father's identity. Then again, maybe they were dropped to incorrectly back up her assumptions- but that was silly, what would the point be? Pushing aside her paranoid suspicions, she refocused on the girl. "Do you like it? It's my favorite."

Her eyes cut to the side, Xenedra gives Endemerrin an almost mocking little smile. She murmurs to him quietly, teasing, "Possessive today, aren't we~?" Gazing lazily over the gathered interested, she calls to the Roegadyn, "You're going to have to give us a name, sugar. We can call you 'hey you,' if you like, but it's not very specific and might lead to a liiiittle confusion. That said," she shifts her attention to the Miqo'te and girl, "it's good to see you're all interested.. or at least pretending to be~" She nods briefly at the Miqo'te man's concerns and fixes the snarky blonde girl with one of her best "You are what's good to eat here and I'm going to eat you alive" grins, "Why don't you do me a favor and tell your 'daddy' to stop hiding in the shadows. It's very nostalgic, but not very productive~"

Hi! I'm Xenedra in game, Michelle irl, and I've been playing XIV since open beta. I'm currently agonizing over my lack of alpha invites :< I live in Norfolk, VA, though I'm moving to Great Lakes, Illinois in Feb/March because my husband just went into the navy. I went to VCU for a bit, (I believe someone else here did : P) in the arts program, but I decided a sculpture degree wasn't what I wanted, so I moved back to the coast and got a graphic arts and a fine arts degree for cheaper! I was working for a business card printing company, but I recently quit because I'm moving and I want to see my friends and be lazy before I go : P I like to doodle and watch moves/anime/musicals and play vidja games (no duh, right?). My MMO history includes Ultima Online, Final Fantasy XI, WoW, Aion, Tera and most recently Guild Wars 2, all of which were mostly one month bouts, with the excepting of my 6-ish year XI campaign : P. Still playing GW2 currently! And of course I love rp! All the time, anytime, I will annoy you bothering you for rp, please give it to me now! I'm excited to see some many people floating around!

A smirking, red-haired Miqo'te trotted up behind the leader of the waiting trio and leaned down near his ear to softly quip, "You don't really sound sure. Did you think I was going to run out on you~?" Standing straight once more, Xenedra spun a lazy turn and settled into the chair next to Endemerrin's. She dropped a half-full sack on the table in front of him and winked. "I hope that's enough, that's all they were willing to sell me. There isn't any left over gil, either. I bought myself a present from you with it~ You're so considerate!" With a pleased little squeal, she pecked his cheek and then shifted her attention to the other two. "Hello, boys!"

Lawl, "not this shit again!" indeed, bunny man. Maybe I don't get the context, but to me it says "we already have a cute animal race!" ..And I agree with this!

It's just a website. Is it really necessary to get upset over someone making a different website for the same purpose? When I was originally told about this second website idea, I also thought that it was a great possibility that all it would do is divide people. You know what, though? It's only going to divide the community of people pick sides. If you're concerned about the websites building a rift, simply make that conscious choice to not let them. What causes a divide, and honestly any issues at all, is when people take something as an insult that isn't at all meant to be. Don't like the website? Don't go. Making a stink over it doesn't do anything but cause the strife in the community that people are already concerned about. There are multiple websites for the same thing in ABUNDANCE all over the internet. You enjoy something, you make a website for it. Getting all "she wore my prom dress!" over it is silly. I intend to support both websites as long as their caretakers plan on putting the work in. I certainly appreciate the work that Kylin has put in both here and in game to bolster the RP community in XIV and if someone else is willing to do the same, why discourage it? Putting someone with big dreams down before they get started is a good way to lose a world of adventure, and isn't that what we're here for?

I've done a few commissions recently and it was sort of fun! Also I liked the whole money-at-the-end thing. Most of the work I do is just line work, so prices are for that. If anyone's interested in color, we can talk about it. Number of characters and detail desired will also change the price, but here's a basic quote: Bust: $8-10/ ??? gil (Example: ) [spoil][/spoil] Half Body: $10-15/ ??? gil (Rather detailed + 2 people, this is closer to $20, but an example of half bodies: ) [spoil][/spoil] Full Body: $20/ ??? gil (Basic 2mil example: ) [spoil][/spoil] Poke me in game or drop me a PM if you're interested /end self promotion I like how people have been compiling their art in the initial posts on their threads. I now do it, too: Myllor Headshot [spoil][/spoil] D'asee Bust [spoil][/spoil] Zolku Jumpin' [spoil][/spoil] Verence Portrait [spoil][/spoil] Xenedra in an evening gown [spoil][/spoil] Silly Mr. Eorzea Contest Art [spoil][/spoil] Claus gettin' fed by Xenedra [spoil][/spoil] Xenedra bein' skanky [spoil][/spoil] The above, colored [spoil] [/spoil] Xene dancin' [spoil] [/spoil] Nel in a gown [spoil][/spoil] Eva in a gown [spoil][/spoil] Deirdre + Endricane backstory goodness [spoil][/spoil] Deirdre in her natural state [spoil][/spoil] The above, colored [spoil] [/spoil] Endemerrin bein' mushy [spoil][/spoil] Saitou's wolf pup stealing his bow [spoil][/spoil] Siobhain + Ravyne Smooches [spoil][/spoil] Kassandra as the Queen of Cups: [spoil][/spoil] Miqo'te Endemerrin doodle [spoil][/spoil] Ophelia Siiiinging [spoil][/spoil] Onicon Hitodama Boy Mascot: [spoil][/spoil] Onicon Tengu Girl Mascot: [spoil][/spoil] Genevieve: [spoil][/spoil] Xenedra & Endemerrin Iron Man Shenanigans: [spoil][/spoil] Alothia n' Paradyme surprise kisses: [spoil][/spoil] Butterfly themed Abai n' Xenedra: [spoil][/spoil] Wrath - Yssen & Deirdre: [spoil][/spoil] Ozzie: [spoil][/spoil] Kannadi: [spoil][/spoil] Deirdre's Dad: [spoil][/spoil] Pouty Bancroft: [spoil][/spoil] Goofy Endemerrin: [spoil][/spoil] Winky Gerik: [spoil][/spoil] Rakka: [spoil][/spoil]

[align=center] Soliloquy[/align] Server: Balmung Leaders/contacts: Xenedra Ambreaus There isnât really a rigid hierarchy. Contacting any member works just as well. RP Style: Heavy, though this isnât an all-the-time type linkshell. Website/forum: http://soliloquy-xiv-roleplay.enjin.com/home We mostly use it as a place to access our mumble, though. The forums and such are in a sort of transition stage for now. RP element: Soliloquy is meant to be a shell to gather up Eorzea's finest entertainers, from singers, to actors, etc. Headquarters: Our headquarters can be found in Limsa Lominsa on the outskirts of the wards district. It stands as a place for members of Soliloquy to practice their arts and sports a decent sized bar for audience members. For now we use the woodworkers ward in Limsa. Recruitment: Invite only and done entirely IC in-game. Entertainers of all kinds are invited to perform at Soliloquy HQ and those that chose may request to be judged for entry into the shell. The judges are TOUGH, but the process may be repeated time and again after only a dayâs wait. Those who are accepted will get a pearl and a pin in the shape of Solilquy's crest (logo) to signify that they have received this great honor! Rules: Donât be a dick. No whining. Have fun. Additional info: Soliloquy HQ isn't always open and will more likely only be opened for individual events, which may include "we're bored, let's open HQ tonight!" Anyone may hire out the building to host an event or hire the members of Soliloquy to entertain at an event elsewhere.

Hello! Forgive me for nbeing to lazy to post up until this point, but here it goes! The red to me really blends right into the shadows on the paladin, which looks awkward. I also think the metalic border in the top pieces doesn't match the red very well, though I don't know that it matches the green any better. I do think that the red goes better with the gold text in the center box. My biggest issue with this entire site is that top row of boxes, though. To me it just looks awkward to have the three separated pieces sitting on the same background as everything else. Some sort of separate layer for the three of them to sit on might help, but I think a better solution would be to trash that randomly changing picture and spread the other two out /combine them. The center box looks very much like an after thought and it's STUFFED with the title and main info about the site. It should be the primary focus of the top bar. My other big gripe involves the background. I like the basic concept, but the combination of real and concept graphics throws me off. Maybe if you could make the archways either look less realistic or (and I think this is probably more what's throwing me off:) fix the perspective/proportion of the paladin to the scrolls to the archways. I'm also really amused to see Sunny Dove as a name on that main page. That guy doesn't come 'round here no more!

I would also be interested in judging

Didn't you JUST promise me a bunch of RP? Don't be a bum! Stick around!
-
Come on, guys! Only a few more days left before the event! Sign, sign, sign!

A lot of the people we asked about the competition said their characters would never compete IC, so we thought more people could/would join in if we made it non-canon. It's mostly just to make it more inclusive!

I've talked to a handful of people about trying to put together that illusive performing troupe LS that no one seems to be able to stick to : P and we came up with a few hurdles in the form of questions I'd like to pose to the community. 1) Would you rather watch a play "in person," or as a video? They both have their pros and cons. A play you actually attend would be on a stage, like the amphitheater in which we would be unable to do anything as far as sets. It might attract griefers as well, but without that actual "in person"ness, you lose out on the ability to RP reactions and whisper back and forth with your fellow play-goers. In video form, the players could do their acts in appropriate settings that might add to the visual experience as a whole. Personally I prefer the idea of a video, or possibly doing both, but I'm starting to answer my own question, so I'll leave this to you guys! 2) Would you rather see a production of an existing IRL play that was modified to fit our setting, or something original? Obviously a mix isn't a bad idea, but original plays will take time! So I suppose the real question is, would you find an Eorzea-fied preexisting play boring? 3) If said performance group were to host "amateur night" events, would you be interested in attending? Please mention if it would be as either a performer or an audience member. 4) And, of course, feel free to add anything else! Suggestions, questions, whether or not you think the idea is stupid, whatever! Thanks to anyone who leaves feedback! If the response is mostly positive, we'll get this thing underway!
