My sincerest welcomes, good sir! I hope your introduction goes well and your first role play amongst us gives you a happy memory. If ever you need an rp partner feel free to ask! There are plenty of willing people about.

Taking a fair look at the paper, Shashato narrows her lids at a familiar entry, shaking her head at the contents before reluctantly lowering the paper, pulling out the page and giving it to her carbuncle. "To target a handmaiden under the sultana's charge? These assassins are either ruthlessly calculating or asking for trouble. If this escalates any further the sworn are going to have a field day. " Stopping to stroke her chin, the lalafell watches the summon rip the paper appart. What ever happened to good news?

Good god, here I thought I was alone. I work in the archives of the national court, and I just had to deal with a customer willing to venture into our rat infested store room with a rapier and a helmet for his documents. This is my day.

In my opinion, there is only one theme I can think of for Shashato, with all of her drive and vigor when it comes to search, discovery and risky adventure! 6n9xP6_cPAI

Hello there! Glad you could join us! If you're looking for role play, you'll find Ul'dah has no shortage, although I've found it in most most the main cities. Likewise, there is a list of linkshells up in the menu above and the link shell subforum! Hope you find that useful. F

Well I certainly wouldn't mind some more role play, and I can provide company! Perhaps not in the romance department but cheering up is easy around a certain fell.

You have no idea how pleased I am to see this thread flourishing. Good job everyone!

Probably should have started with this...
Flakskader replied to Oilbasedoleander's topic in Welcome Desk
No sire? Well, I could make an immaculate conception joke, but I won't - I'll just welcome you to the community and wish you the best! I'm also very much new to the final fantasy multiverse and I just have to say - take it slow. It's a lot to take in but once you grasp the repeating themes. It's quite easy to grasp. Role playing in game for the first time can be a bit of a rush, but so long as it's not in a super crowded area, it shouldn't be too hard! I wish you luck. Much happy, F. -

Certainly an unconventional name for a miqo'te, though I'm curious to see where this goes. By all means, you'll find no shortage of role play out and about - and with some help from this forum, you'll be hosting connections in no time! Velcome, I say!

Hello person who is not biast. I, other non biast person would like to agree with you, although plenty of good quality artwork exists, but is harder to find. I promote the creation of more art depicting my totally not favorite race boyhowdy. No,I'm not reading this out in a deadpan voice.

Velcome & congratulations! Shashato Shato: Vainglorious Entrepreneur.

Reaching to pinch her glasses free of her vision, Shashato found herself staring at the page with a startling mixture of disdain and annoyance. Slowly lowering the paper from before her, she took but a moment to pull up her sleeve and check on the skin of her arm. "Well, I certainly can't say I didn't see this coming. Great. Now I need to poison myself repeatedly before I step foot in my own home city. Well, at least the inevitable resistance to neuro-toxins should come in handy... If my brain survives. " Taking but a moment to peer at the story again, she murmured " Still... Poor woman. " With that, she rolled the newspaper up, sliding it into the folds of her robe. "If they ever capture the wily scoundrel I will have to beat him with this article before his inevitable execution or removal of extremities!"

In the wake of recent events, I've seen it fit to release these stories as they become available. Call them memoires, the story of my life, an autobiographical thingummywat, what have you. The purpose of this collection of entries is to bring together information so that you, the reader, can try get to know me - the author - a little better and thus understand that this is more then just a glossary. When it is complete, these entries will be published with the full compendium. Chapter 1: By Gale's Breeze, by Levin's Light Ho-hum. The history of this fair realm goes so far back that I fear I would need a whole other book to fill your mind with knowledge of ages long gone. There are stories beyond any you have heard, monsters without names, evils tucked away under our homes, heroes who's names go unsung... The history of Eorzia covers so many areas beyond convention and belief that one has to draw the line somewhere. So, to give you - the reader of this book an account of days past, I shall write my own experiences down within these preliminary pages, so that the passion beyond them is ever more meaningful. For after all, even a compendium just come with context. Where do we begin? Over five years ago, before my very eyes, I watched the world change forever. Dalamud. The terror the moon caused when it shined red as a beet. When the stunning realization came to the people - that it was coming right for. us. How vulnerable we were when that judging blaze rained down upon us, death toll rising and rising. Twelve know how we made it out - but perhaps even the Elder Primal could not predict how tenacious truly is. During that moment, I saw within the fires of eternity - a potential burning in flame.

You! Yes, you! Are you seeking to make a name for yourself? Perhaps every time you envision a wise scholar or curious berk opening a history book in the next hundred years - you see your name right there on the preliminary pages or perhaps the appendix well, the future looks bright for you! http://i1204.photobucket.com/albums/bb411/Arkeyark/Kaboom.png[/img] Shashato Shato - daring and legitimate archeologist, aetheric expert and arcane historian. 100% Professional, 100% Duneborn and 10^(10^(10¹⁰⁰))% Moogle Friendly. And boy, do I have an opportunity for you. My recent forrays into the wild reaches of the Eorzean realm have allowed me to make two three very dramatic discoveries that have shaken the very foundations of my astute understanding of the world. Robes are not sufficient protection from towering scaled monstrosities. Working alone comes with risks, especially if you are easily distracted. It sucks not to have three arms, because trying to fend off raging wild animals whilst fondling a chisel and hammer is not only difficult - but physically impossible. So in the best interest in advancing the knowledge of the people - I have decided that it would likely be a wise idea to begin seeking out some assistance. See this? This is where you come in. I am on the look out for bright and hope-filled individuals or perhaps even just willing individuals who are down on their luck to assist me with all manner of small and major tasks. You will be the backbone of my entire operation and will receive no shortage of rewards for your assistance. What's that? Monetary rewards? You moneygrubbing kobold-nuzzling son of a puk's rear end that's been run over repeatedly because you've been too busy nuzzling kobolds repeatedly to take care of your stupid puk father you embarassment to all of life within this world, the next and every multiverse that may exist out there I mean how dare you ask for money when I am offering you a pristine chance to learn things that would make most normal fools' minds explode implode and then explode again with unlimited amounts of amazement you bet your sweet patootee there's some money in it for you! Prices are negotiable once we have met but at the very least you shall receive an amazingly miniscule okay equal share of the profit. As of right now, your duties may include: Assisting me with theories and setting up tests. Acting as a meatshield physical barrier between me and incoming threats. Assisting in the extraction of artifacts (handle with care) and examining their properties. Covering any fields which I am not knowledgeable in. Maintaining the condition of equipment. Boiling eggs. Those still confound me. Side note: I am also on the look out for any knowledgeable and bright minds skilled in the disciplines of magic so assist me in my own personal training. As an aspirant, I seek to branch out once I have mastered my archanist's skills and inevitably become a magical jack-of-all-trades. Your assistance in the matter will be rewarded with my astute attention and attendance to all lessons both practical and theory as well as proper payment of any fees required. So, do you feel up to the task? Don't be shy - even if you feel you lack the skills, you'll be whipped into shape under my care and looking at fame, fortune and self-satesfaction in no time! If you are interested in this - please contact your nearest delivery moogle! Forever functioning forward, Shashato OOC Section So, in my constantly expanding endeavors to both carve out my character's personal story as well as tug others along for a fun and inviting ride - I am opening this up. I'm looking for anyone willing to associate with Shashato for a couple of roleplay events I have planned alongside anything we choose to do in between - be it IC leveling, dungeon runs & so on! Your character is more then just someone being strung along for random things! The purpose of all of this is to make curious and entertaining stories that also breed good character development for both parties and entertainment for us players! If you ever feel you want to pull something off that would be of benefit to your character and/or advance their personal plots and develop them in a way you see fit, by all means I'm open to any and all suggestions. Be aware that I am in an EU Timezone (+1GMT) and am usually online between 18:00 and 01:00 (6PM and 1AM) during weekdays and almost all day during the weekends (save for perhaps Friday evenings, I have a D&D game to run). However, if you need to talk to me for any reason whatsoever, I'm usually online both on the forums and skype during most of the day, though my reply time may be based on how busy work is (it's usually dead quiet). If you're interesting in making connections (hurhur, I made a laff) then by all means, feel free to send me a PM in-game, reply to this thread or send me a PM! I look forward to hearing from anyone interested. Likewise, if you have any questions, reply button's right down there!

I. Basic Info Characters:Shashato Shato, Saza Sinoh Primary character: Shashato Shato Linkshells: Verdant Legacy Primary RP linkshell: N/A II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I tend to be between medium and heavy roleplay. Typically, whenever I am online - I tend to be in character. Be it running about completing leves or simply sauntering around town, I'm always happy to be approached. Of course, situations like repeat dungeon runs and so on are not exactly grounds for that. Likewise, in terms of post size, I tend to post heavily only when either I am in the mood to write a lot or simply if it's an important enough event. Toasties on the beach with your friends doesn't always warrant legendary descriptive skills that would make Tolkien's corpse bleed tears of joy. Views on RP combat and injuries: Generally, I tend to keep RP combat against players either pre-planned or to a minimum. It can go perfectly fine, but many of the times I've done it - people tend to take the whole thing very, very seriously. I usually tend to set up some rules with the fellow player, so that tends to be flexable. Typically I trust people enough to let them emote freely, of course keeping in mind to attempt every attack and not just instantly hit. My focus in fights is to provide a conflict that is dynamic and poignant. Injuries of a severe nature should come with requests but I don't shy away from them. A character losing a hand to a fireball or being hit by a cursed item might have interesting roleplay repurcussions. Views on IC romance: In Character romance appears to be an inevitability these days. Nonetheless, I tend to approach it with a bit of caution. Of course, like normal people, characters in fiction fall in love various amounts of times. Some find their true loves instantly, some lose them and find love again, some have several casual relationships in a row. It all depends on the character. However, as a general rule, if any two characters begin getting close enough to where they want a serious relationship, I try to work things out with my fellow player. I find it tends to be a bit more long-lasting when you know the person you are roleplaying enough to trust them. After all - romance is more then just two people smashing faces together and intimacy. It can be played off as a bond between two people that creates a very unique dynamic in many situations. Facing the big bad seems more risky when you have a spouse. Having your boy/girlfriend fighting alongside you makes for either an awesome battle couple, two people that are fun to watch play off eachother or a new reason to fear losing. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): Family can add an interesting roleplay dynamic when you have another character related to you. When unconditional love comes into the picture you have the fine chance of introducing family situations into the mix as well as opportunities to confront something important to your character. Perhaps they're close to their family and feel nervous about letting one join in on an adventure. Perhaps they have a sibling rivalry or animocity against a parent. Perhaps they're a mother or father in law they need to earn the respect of! All manner of things can happen. Friendship between characters is also something I support, in time they can either become rivals, allies, part of the same team...Likewise, I enjoy rivalries between characters. You can have X and Y be competing in a friendly way, or in an all out war against eachother. You can see characters go to dark places, or see the dynamic of two people after the same goal but with differing methods. Views on lore: Thus far my exposure to the game's lore has left me quite interested. By all means, like every story there are aspects I do and do not like, but thus far it seems to be rather expansive with interesting events and a lot of room to add more lore and expand the story even further. Where will it all go? We'll have to find out! As far as fanon or player-based lore goes, I tend to be a bit stingy on that. Typically I tend to try keeping that flexable in case lore tends to just go 'nope, not true' after a few days or keep it reserved to certain circles where it's accepted. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): Depends on the context. Typically /say and /yell for me are for roleplaying purposes, I tend to keep Whispers IC if they're in quotations and otherwise speak freely, Linkshells...well, it depends on what their purpose is and otherwise I tend to use brackets when I am out of character, unless it's a designated OOC zone. III. Other Info Country: Malta Timezone: +1 GMT Contact info: Can be contacted on Shashato Shato or Saza Sinoh ingame, otherwise can be contacted over forums VIA PM. That really was... Balz to the wall kookie. And a very Balzy move.

Oho, it was not easy. Trust me, I stayed up day and night attempting to get on (I'd made a character there previously but I was desperate to get my main onto there.) and finally I just gave up and scrounged together the cash for a server transfer. I know, I'm crazy. But I had to do it. Still, I'm glad to hear you say that! Good to have help around. I'll be sure to shower you all with questions and/or not be lazy and look it up myself! I've actually been looking through some of the other threads, both out of being stumped on what to say and because I'm curious to see how others are greeted. Either way, thanks! I believe the proper term might be Balmungalorians. You are my favorite sort of person. Once I have all of my bones restructured and my organs put back into place, I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you! And finally you. Two nerds colliding could be more devastating then a bajillion (real number thar) Bahamuts! I'm usually on from around an hour before now to...6 hours later during the weekdays and almost day during the weekend. So feel free to poke me! I'll be keeping an eye out for you.

Greetings & Salutations Hydaelyns and Hydaelynettes! I'm pleased to finally be making this introduction post. I'll admit, being the self-concious worrywort that I am, I was going to make sure I finished my full character profile before I even thought of looking here. So, me! Who am I? Flakskader, you can call me Flaks. I've been roleplaying for as long as I've been clicking no things that need to die on the computer screen. I remember starting off about...ten years ago? I've been trying to get a little better every day (Still need to work on that spelling!) and aiming to focus on creating stories and characters that others would both enjoy interacting with, would let me let loose some of my creativity and be a general boon to the roleplay of others. I aim to please! I've been roleplaying on most any game I go to so long as there's a community, be it World of Warcraft, Wildstar, TERA, The Secret World, Star Trek Online or City of Heroes (RIP). I'm brand spanking new to FFXIV and I'll be honest - still immersing myself in the lore and the world around me alongside the gameplay. But I'm loving what I'm seeing so far. I'm actually loving what I see thus far -and for the first time in a while I'm actually very excited to get into a new community. I sadly do not get all the time in the world to play these days because of work, however I thankfully have a calm enough job to interact on the forums during the quiet hours, so I'll likely be here quite a bit. As of right now I'm still seeking out my first roleplay, fingers crossed. If you ever wish to interact with me, by all means! Feel free to send me a message either here or on my characters, I'll likely be on my main Shashato Shato or alternatively Saza Sinoh. I play on the Balmung server, so all of my fellow...Mung...ians? I'll see you all out there! I'm typically very open to being spoken to or just plain hanging out so by all means, don't worry! Unless my house has been set on fire and I'm eating beans out of the can, I'll likely be 100% in the mood to talk it up. I tend to be very chatty. Much Greetings - So Greatful, J~
