I'm somewhat glad I never got into the whole tumblr thing. I mean, I know what I see and hear about is cherry picked, and I take that into my opinion of the service it provides as a whole, but some of the shit I've heard and read -- good lord. It's the internet as a whole though, isn't it? Every 'meeting place' (imgur, tumblr, reddit, RPC, etc.) eventually over time turns into a bit of an echo chamber. At least the vocal types make it that way. Plenty of people who use social sites don't always post anything, or never say anything... y'know, the lurkers. I'm mostly one here (I need to change this. I want friends!) so I totally get it. Regarding the main sentiment that set off this thread. I am in general agreement. People need to be treated with respect no matter the flavor of the interaction. Disliking traits and quirks of an individual is always fine, but attacking the very core of their existence because of it is not. I don't have to like a person to respect him or her, but I will always try to.

Hello! You may remember this user name as one Nito the twinky catboi. WELL THAT DIDN'T PAN OUT. I mean.. he still exists, and is uh... well, a shitty level 50 PLD, but then the HW trailer happened, and the love for my old character returned. I wasn't all that active on the board so.. I'm just kinda reintroducing myself (and maybe will be more active. Maybe? Maybe.) I am Tenrilaux Lemont, or Tenril, or Ten, or "hey, you, tall guy." Duskwight Dragoon from Ishgard. Just a rank and file DRG, not advertising him as the ONE AND ONLY Azure DRG like the story says he is. He's a former exile conscripted back into duty (and citizenship) after Lady Iceheart's attacks. He's kinda overserious, formal almost to a fault, lacks a serious sense of humor (but loves him some sarcasm and dry wit), is prone to threatening to stab things that annoy him, and totally likes the dudes (A running theme with my character cause pfft guys are hot <3. I mean, not that it comes up in RP a lot). House Lemont is sworn to Dzemael (assuming that's the Duskwight house, will retcon if that changes or something), and is a minor noble house. Uh, those are the basics I guess. So yeah. >.> Oh I'm a night owl now that I can work nights again (yay) so... y'know, late night chattery is welcome. Give me random tells, I like them! =D

How prevalent are the Twelve outside of Eorzea? We know Garlemald don't show any idea of worship, and probably would deny it as aether manipulation akin to the primals. (And in fact I think it'd been suggested that the Twelve may just be primals in their own right anyway.) I don't plan on going Au Ra or anything like that, I'm just curious on what people think or might know about it.

I can't go into a lot of detail because of planning/secrecy reasons, but I'm in need of a Monetarist or a few, or at least one who has some backup. Ok! So one of my sticking points this go around is trying to make friends/meet people outside my FC. It's too small right now to fulfill my social needs! (I mean.. I'm likely to ask my FC lead to lead a recruitment push soonish but... that's aways from now.) I am not the type who can just go up and chat with random folks in the Quicksand, especially if they have their own conversations going and whatnot. So uh, pimping myself a bit to offer a youngish, naive, hunter moonkitty to any who could take advantage offer friendship or work or ... I dunno, anything.

I've been mucking about on Balmung since Day 1 as founding , which I've been a part of for eight years or so now (we date back to WoW and that side of us is still the dominant side). They've basically been my gaming life for those 8 years, and I've been involved in leadership with them in the past as the main raid leader and coordinator, and recruitment ("Inquisition") lead. My old character was an Elezen DRG named Tenrilaux. However, I uh... didn't stick. The end-grind wore me down and I cleaned things up and took off. Well, I decided to buy a CE box of Heavensward (I'm a sucker for art books), and have uh... invested myself now into this new cat. He's a PLD, and while his personality isn't crystalized yet, I've got ideas in my head. I never know if I should include this bit or not, but uh.. he (and I) are a fan of the boys so.. y'know, if you're not comfortable with that, that's fine, just putting it out there.
