1. No Scaith! You get in the game and RP with people! Stop working so much. *gets the broom after him* ((Btw, there is no real aggression here....))*hits him with the broom*
2. I really like your post. I could write a really long and boring thing her, but instead I'm just going to say that it's interesting, I have a character that is always interested in meeting new people, and they might get along. So, they're interested, but if you are interested then feel free to PM on here or just poke me in game. If I'm free, a lot of times I am, I rarely turn down a chance to randomly RP with someone. Take care! And if you do want to learn more about Rini, check out the wiki in the signature, but watch out for spoilers. : )
3. I. Basic Info Characters: L'rinhi Kett, Casmi Hawke Primary character: L'rinhi Kett Linkshells: Wayfarer.Net Primary RP linkshell: Wayfarer.Net II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Medium/Heavy, I usually meld to those I RP with on my spare time or in a casual environment. When running events I am extremely heavy in respect to those giving me their time and I do not wish to waste it. Views on RP combat and injuries: I prefer the Fate-14 style of combat, but I do not mind well-told storytelling either. When it comes to PvP I shy away from it in most cases unless it is discussed before hold and actions fall under the player's, and my, consent. As for injuries, I don't mind them as long as it doesn't dismember my character. Views on IC romance: Only if it is natural, unplanned, and story-driven. Romance has never, and will never, been the focal point of my character. However, I do like to play with her emotions and take a realistic stance to things, but if the stars align just right you never know what will happen for her. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): All good, I have several player and NPC connections for this. Good stuff. Views on lore: I try to follow it to the best of my ability...Which depends on if I know it or not. If I break lore then it's most likely that I didn't know I was breaking it. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): RP linkshells that are IC? They are IC, obviously. Say is IC if quotation marks are used unless stated otherwise, Yell = IC, Shout = OOC, but the best way to tell is to the look for the " " 's and the ( )'s....( ) is OOC. III. Other Info Country:USA Timezone:Central Contact info:RPC [glow=blue]~Special announcements can be found in the posts below~[/glow] Took me a while to make one of these...Yep!
4. We are currently renovating Wayfarer's Rest, re-staffing our staff, re-stocking our stock, and looking to the future to once again provide a place for social entertainment. We've been silent for a few months, but don't blink, we'll be coming back with a bang. If you were a fan of our tavern nights, or someone who just enjoys good company, we implore you keep an eye out for future posts and the return of our lovely tavern. Be well!
5. The days are closing in. Less than a week remains.
6. So, this has really bugged me from when I first managed my IC tavern to selling IC goods all the way up until, well, now. Just how much is gil worth? Some see 100 gil as a lot of money, comparable to 100 USD IRL. Myself, I have always judged things based on the in game merchants who sell food for like...750 gil for a meal, so, maybe 7.50 American dollars or, since this is a Japanese MMO, 750 yen which converts to about 7.1 USD which is a reasonable price for a simple meal. Why am I wondering over such a meaningless confusion? Because people have different reactions when you tell them "Here's a burger for 700 gil(7 dollars)." or "Here's a burger, you owe me 700 gil (700 dollars)." It is a big difference and has caused issues when trying to make a menu and further some RP with various people. So I'm just curious what you all see it as. Is 700 gil a bunch of money or is it chump change?
7. Bump, still lots of time to sign up.
8. *pokes head into thread and glances around.* Wooo, I'm late to the party. It sounds like you put a lot of work into your characters and you're a pretty laid back person sooo, if you are still looking for a few contacts still, both OOC and IC, I would happily offer my cheerful, dense, and energetic miqo'te as a friend; I've recently been reaching out to a lot of players myself to form simple, friendly connections for my character and help players get into, or back into, the community. My wiki is in the signature if you are interested and feel free to send me a PM. : ) Take care!
9. *bumps* Gee, I've been slacking... Half a month left!
10. I'm always interesting in RP with a good merchant. : ) I have several hooks to pin on you if you are interested in supplying a Goldsmith and a Company. PM me for more details if interested!
11. Hi, Loving the detail you put into this. I too am looking for casual friends and connections for my character. Not someone they see everyday or drag to an event or anything, but someone that they bump into on occasion or simply wave to each other in passing. Of course I'm always happy to fix a scene if you had nothing to do and asked and I was just as bored. Anyway, if you think a cheery, dense, and overenthusiastic miqo'te could be a friend for one of your characters then feel free to PM me here or in game to set something up. Take care
12. Rini's eyes opened as Serenity stood. Cautiously, Rini watched her make her way across the room to her own 'bed' before a slight frown began to curl her lips. Doubt set in as she recollected what she had just said. "I'm sorry...What I said...I...I just don't want to let you down...I..Couldn't help the last time I witnessed this...I made her worse...But I know of a way to at least buy time...And if we separate you from the voidsent then you will have nothing to worry about...You might not have anything to worry about now." L'rinhi tried to make herself sound reassuring, but her self doubt was still evident in her mannerisms, however small they might have been. She took a deep breath as her eyes fell on the small fairy again, gazing at it with a curious glare.
13. Rini glanced over to Serenity, part of her wondering if the hammock could hold them both, and tilted her head. Her expression, blank at first, shifting slightly toward one of fright..Or regret. "I...Don't really know...But I'm going to find someone who does...And do the best I can." She replied meekly, closing her eyes as she almost fell asleep sitting up.
14. Ella! It's good to see you again! Poke me again sometime in game!
15. L'rinhi took a deep, steady breath and closed her eyes; her posture fell limp as she took a moment to finally relax. Her left ear twitched, listening to his words as he spoke before idlely sliding off her jeweled sandals and standing up. She slowly rose, letting him continue as she made her way to one of the hammocks and sat down abruptly as the fabric could almost be heard creaking from dryrot. "Aether...It's what makes us alive..." She described vaguely, carefully reaching up to pull the small tiara from her head and placed it on the small table next to her. "All beings have it...I think...Something about Garleans don't maybe...It's vague. Not everyone has access to it though. You have to either be born or learn an affinity for it...To be able to tap into it as a resource." She continued, her voice was soft and somewhat distant, as if her mind was somewhere else. She glanced back up at him as she slide the jewelry from her hand and placed it with the small head ornament. "My name is Rini...I'm a merchant from..Well...I'm a Wayfarer...My home varies most of the time, but I currently live with a friend in the Goblet. My company's headquarters aren't very far from it...Which is where we are heading." she further stated.
16. Rini looked up to her before shaking her head with her eyes closed. "Sorry, we are heading to Ul'dah...The Arcanist Guild might have tomes, but I know someone who is much more knowledgeable in these things than I...besides, I need the old remedies that we used before...If your aether is corrupted then further tampering could make it worse...We need to cleanse it." She stated, taking a deep breath and looking back to Scaith. "I hired the crew...You can help them if you want but they know where I need to go...I'll finish my deliveries at another time."
17. Rini blinked at the name, her hands dropping to her lap as she peered over him curiously before grinning mischeaveously. "Oh? Are you now? Well I appreciate it... My name is L'rinhi Kett...I'm sure you're also happy to have also found passage hmm?" She asked, a bit of teasing in her voice as she turned back to serenity to ensure she hadn't fainted again. "If it is a voidsent... There's not much we can do unless we find it... We keep moving.. If it keeps making her sick we know it's something close by." She stated flatly
18. Rini watched Serenity closely with an expression that was somewhat skeptical. After hearing her out a,nd watching her leave to get dressed, Rini turned to Scaith and closed her eyes. "I've seen it before...Tainted Aether...It's a result of voidsent...One fed off of her...Or has a connection to her somehow...I've seen it happen before but in all honesty I have no idea how it works." The young teen's words were regretful and had a hint of insecurity in her tone. She opened her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest, still unsure of exactly how much to divulge. "I can't help her here...Regular healing magic could make it worse...I need something from home."
19. Rini had seemed to ignore Serenity's cries for now, focusing moreso on reaching the docks. With a hurried pace, Rini led them to the peir in which their boat was waiting. The young Miqo'te glanced back now and then to ensure that he was still behind her. Rain slowly began to fall as they reached the boat, now docked where they stood earlier, and Rini ushered Scaith to board as she turned her attention the man standing at the foot of the ramp leading to the deck. A few words could be seen being exchanged, Rini's face expressionless before her gaze turned into a firm glare. She pulled a small sack from her belt and placed it in the man's hand before quickly boarding and following behind them. "In here..." Rini motioned, water dripping from the tips of her hair as she opened the door to a small cabin. Inside, they would find it relatively empty. A few barrels were scattered here and there as were a table and chairs with four old hammocks strung in the back corner. The room reeked of wet wood and alcohol with the occasional whiff of cigar smoke. Rini cleared the table and placed a candle at the head, again motioning toward the two she had just recently met. "Place her here...And close the door..."
20. Rini sighed at Serenity's words, a pain running through her chest at the thought of leaving someone in this state for personal matters. She shook her head and ran her hand through the woman's hair, trying to calm her. "Shh...You'll be fine...I promise okay? We just need to get you patched up." She stated in a calm, optimistic tone. L'rinhi would then turn to Scaith, hesitating for a moment before she stood up and approached him slowly; her hands clasped over her chest in insecurity as she cleared her throat. "I...Can't treat her here...Do you..Mind helping me? I need to get her to transport..." The white haired Miqo'te asked reluctantly. As he would answer she would make her way back to Serenity, taking a beach towel and draping it over her to further conceal her nakedness. "I need you to carry her to the docks...I can pay you once we get to Ul'dah." She finished, looking back to the male Miqo'te.
21. L'rinhi glanced back up at Scaith, her eyes looking slightly more determined as her face reflected an unusual serious expression. Her ears flickered again as she vaguely glanced around for the pixie's position. Rini didn't seem to be bothered by the nature of Serenity's state, but she slowly rose to her feet, took Serenity's clothes in hand, and draped them over her. "She's fine for now...But we need to leave her to her privacy.." Rini looked back down at the ill woman before cheeking her cheek again. "Can you get dressed?" she asked bluntly, tail being to sway from side to side behind her.
22. Rini smiled a bit wider, amused at the man's embarrassment before shrugging silently in a bit of a tease. "No worries...I just wasn't expecting you is all...And the woman I was referring to was just here...Though she might have went back to that inn I doubt she would have traveled far from the-" Her words were cut off as she felt an odd presence, her head turning to the room before she heard the weakened cry for help. Rini opened the dressing room door quickly, possibly exposing her if she wasn't dressed as Rini's eyes focused on the pixie. Slowly, the focus of her eyes dropped to Serenity. She approached her slowly and dropped to a knee to check the woman's pulse and forehead.
23. Rini blinked at Serenity for a moment, not quite understanding what she was asking until it dawned on her. "Oh...Right..Of course." She stated respectfully, giving the woman a small nod before turning around and waiting just outside the changing area. L'rinhi looked about the area for a moment until the man's voice made her jump slightly. She turned to him, wide eyed, as her hand rested on her chest. "Oh...Hi..Wow...Sorry, I guess I'm a bit jumpy...Umm...Yes, I was asking if you had seen a friend of mine." She replied, giving the man a sweet, innocent smile.
