I'll offer Sienna for Monk if you need some more options. ^^

I'm happy to help out in any way I can that doesn't involve the drawing-side. :3

Here's hoping expansions don't mess up the timeline terribly. They tend to be set X years later with certain MMOs (XI included)

The 'Oh god help!' Wiki Coding/Editing Support Thread.

Highfive fellow Wiki coder! -
One issue with some of the holiday events, especially in the past several months, is they've been tied in to the storyline (Such as Founders' Day and fighting Atomos to keep people safe)

Thought I'd throw this out there. Rosa is an LS that existed back at launch. A few of the original members decided (with permission of the creator) to rebuild the LS, keeping the theme and lore, and continuing the legacy. Any new recruits will obviously ICly be integrated in ARR, but that doesn't mean we can't get started now! Rosa Basic Info Website: http://rosa.enjin.com (Temporary site) / Wiki Page Server: Balmung RP Type: Medium-Heavy Leaders: Sienna, Nahu, (Looking for a few more) Recruitment: Open, application process RP Element: A guild of treasure hunters and thieves. Tantalus meets Fairy Tail. Info Thread: Available here. Introduction "Rosa, the great thieve's guil-" "Actually, I prefer the term Treasure Hunters" "Right. Rosa, the great Treasure Hunters' guild. People from all over Eorzea have come to be a part of it, seeking wealth, glory, and power. Others have joined for the adventure. What are you here for?" ~ Biggs and Garlden of Rosa. Lore Rosa is a guild of adventurers (spelled T. H. I. E. V. E. S.) who have come together ((set to the theme of Treasure Hunters and Final Fantasy's invisionment of Thief and Ninja classes)) to become a "Family" over many years. Members of Rosa come from many varied backgrounds, all coming together with the aim of getting rich, finding great treasures, fame, or just the adventure leading up to all of these things. They have a somewhat "Robin Hood" mantra, (normally) robbing from the rich and giving to the poor. They just so happen to fit the poor bracket themselves, as well as some others that they tend to help out anonymously. The Guild was originally formed in year 1553 (OOC founded shortly after launch, but went on hiatus due to inactivity) and has been going strong since. Details Timezone: Primary group timezone here. Shell Restrictions: No restrictions, though due to the theme of the LS at least ICly it should take some form of priority. Roster Info: Rosa welcomes characters from all walks of life, so long as they're willing to treat all other members as family and have a heart for adventure. ( OOC Sideshell: Does your shell have an official secondary shell for OOC purposes? If not, does it officially endorse any other OOC shell? Or is it 100% independent? Endgame: We're adventurers and hunt for treasure. Endgame will be very important to help emphesize this, though not everyone will want to take part which is understandable. Raids, Primals, and so on will be held regularly at times relevant to both US and EU players. Rules Summary: BRIEFLY describe the main rules of the shell. A link to more in depth rules is fine. Application Process: Fill out the application form on the Enjin site, the current mods will look over it and if you're a fit you're in! You then have two options. A: Your character was a member of Rosa already, and is just replacing the role of nameless NPC #143, or B: You're a new recruit. This will be played out through some leadup RP in which a character who is already a member of Rosa (Be it PC or NPC) has invited you to join because they felt you'd be a good part of the family. Memoirs Soon! Drop me a message if you have any questions.

So, this topic came up in the Skype group, so I thought I'd throw it out here as well for discussion. According to the Devs, the entirety of the game so far (From launch to End of an Era) occured within the year 1572. That means the two years the game has been active has all occurred within a year or less. As such, where does that leave you as the RPer? The two most obvious choices are that A: we all just pretend that we started our RP adventures in the year 1570, 'cause nothing loreheavy happened then anyway, or B: we pretend everything we've RP'd since the start has happened during 1572 alone. Are there other options? If so, what would they be? If not, which of the two would you go with? Will you hold others accountable to your decision? Just a few starting questions. What're your thoughts? For me, I'm lucky with Sienna. I started her out in August, so she doesn't have the whole two-year issue. The alts of myself and my brother, however, have been around since Beta. If we bring them back, we'd prefer to go with option A: Treating the start of our RP adventure as 1570. Very little discussion has ever occurred IC for either of us about the dates of Ala Mhigo's downfall until more recently, so it's easy enough to make A fit. As for holding others accountable, I'd just tend not to bring up dates and specifics. Moreso "Remember when...?" and leave it at that.

The jump/turn animations seem off in this video. And I only mean this video, when Yoshi-P was doing the Live Letter I'm sure his character stepped as he turned. Overall, I'm excited.

Sorry for the double post, but I'd like to add that nothing we do will be carried over to ARR/2.0. It's just a nice offer from SE to allow us to continue playing for free until the new game comes out. :3
-
The plan was, if 30% or more people were interested in still playing the current incarnation of 1.0, then they'd bring the servers back up a few days after they went down and everything was done and dusted. Now, they'll keep tabs on the server activity, and so long as it stays above a certain point they'll keep them up and running until ARR. Not sure what'll happen after that point.

Sorry. D: I wasn't sure where to put it. Thanks for fixing!

This was already posted in the Headlines section. D: Though, it's still awesome.

Heya kids! Looks like Dev Fernehalwes over on the Lodestone has been busy gathering and putting together a lot of lore-related answers, giving us a lot more details ranging from the content of the opening cutscene, "What are the Ascians?", and what happened to Atomos, etc. Take a look for yourself here! Enjoy!

So I never got alerted to these latest two replies. Yeah, E'iri, the ladies is (kinda) fitted. :3 And Moltove, I'll see what I can do. I'll probably open shirts again around New years so keep an eye out! ^^

Oh, if you have an event item currently, you keep it. My thought were just whether they'd offer them up again. So long as we can get stuff like cute, new Bikinis for summer (Unhappy I missed those, not gonna lie!) and Christmassy awesomes I'm happy. :3

The bunny helms you can buy from the markets.. Or -could- anyway. I think I have some spare on an alt, too. I ponder if all the missable -items- (not so much their achievements) will become available again over the first two years of events in ARR..
