Ooh, fair enough. Yeah, I have seen people running around as males tagged as "courtesans" but I noticed these are the same folk who believe being a courtesan is just a fancy term for being a sex worker. But hopefully with this thread, people will come to start doing really intriguing and unique plots with their courtesans! I or sure aim to stick true to the old ideals of what a "courtesan" was to the best of my ability, for sure.

This was a really interesting read! I learned lots of new stuff today. I noticed there was a small debate about "male courtesans" but never a definitive closure to it. Would a male be able to use the title OF "courtesan" or is that something that should be avoided? I've been considering making a "courtesan" type, but it's a male so I wanted a general feel on if it's a good idea or not. Edit: I necro'd like a dummy. I'm so good at checking dates, I swear.

I'm in the extremely small minority of "I would like pre-planned because I barely get even platonic RP as it stands so having SOMETHING that lasts more than one scene is honestly a dream come true." I mean I do tend to "prescreen" and make sure they'd work but... Idk. I feel like I don't have the luxury of being able to develop relationships because no one cares to stick with me longer than one scene, even if it's not for shippy purposes. I'll just be doing casual/story RP and then they never talk to me again even if I was polite and kind. But that's my own personal--albeit whiny--experiences/reasons. Edit: Not to say I wouldn't like a developed, unplanned thing. Hell, I would ADORE being able to go in to something blind and not expect a pairing out of it. I'm just saying I don't seem to ever have that opportunity.

Kinda sucks that villains aren't more actively "accepted" so to say. I really wanted to RP this insane antagonist type, but the overwhelming stigma around the role is suffocating. I guess if you're brave and willing to take the fact that you'll have to hang your villain shoes up quicker than the hero's shoes, it's doable. That said, I still want to be a villain type. Too many heroes, not enough IC arseholes.

The struggle is real. ;_; I've been chewing on doing the exact same thing for my Elezen and I haven't much real tumblr'ing since GW2. Since Ms Moonlit helped me with/got me into it back then, I'm just gonna blame her. >_> Join the dark side. Do not tempt me so! For you may actually succeed!

YES i love cheesecake.....my mom once made an oreo cheesecake and oh my god is was so good..... Oh my gosh I bet!!
