I would ask them if its a new character or if ICly they had some kinda body swap, ya know like dont eat yellow snow around Ifrit. For me i made two characters with shifting them to Au Ra in mind so to me the characters looks caught up to the characters lore lol.

You can also boil the bones down to make broth which is nutritious and delicious for preparing soup, making better ramen, or pretty much anything else. hmm forget that sometimes, i use the bones for making blade and gun handles and sell those on the side.

pedestrian with a touch of mad dog cooked for 4 hours is ok, dangerous to hunt but cheap. :angel: slightly serious note, if you have the ability for hunting for food it will save you a TON of money. about the only way I've kept my horde alive is with supplemental hunting. price for meat here has gotten stupid. now for store hunting if your store has a deli compare its rotisseri chicken with uncooked chicken. if like here its cheaper to buy a whole cooked bird than a frozen one, you can use it as your protein and supplement with cheap mac and cheese, spiced to your liking and more filling than raman. also check the shopping in your area, look for a bread outlet store as they sell bread for cheap but its all fresh, just overruns from the factory. Also look for a butcher or meat shop as you can get ground meat a lot cheaper from them usually. Also look for any slaughter houses in your area as when they screw up a cut you can get that meat for a LOT cheaper than you can at the store. Last bit of advice, dont try to eat healthy, its too damn expensive lol. an old staple is a 88 cent package of hotdogs two mac'n cheese boxes for 50 cents each and a small thing of season all or garlic salt for a buck or two. easy dinner right there.

A group of people who meet on a scheduled basis to clear conent. Often the harder content needs gear from earlier content, and it only drops once per week. It's static, in that they try to avoid changing members, so that the same group of people gets all the loot, and can use that loot to clear later dungeons. ok, cool thank you for clearing that up for me. interesting system.

There's actually already an FC for that as I know, NAWTY. And while not RP, they're a pretty cool group of people (they live in the same ward as my FC's house). Bigotry and discrimination are not all in your face violence. A lot of it is small things like "LBGT only FC and linkshells are discriminatory!" or small verbal cues that let slurs into casual conversation among gamers, or having to worry at all about being 'out' around strangers for any reason, whatsever. Cultural and sociatal discrimination is a death by a thousand cuts, when it's not death by one big act of violence. It's the sort of thing people say "but lol I didn't mean it!" and you're expected to just nod along and say "ok" with. Excusable the first time. But after the next hundred, thousand times? It wears and scrapes away are your basic humanity. It's why safe spaces and LGBT specific linkshells and FCs are important. They're a safe space run and moderated by people who understand and have experienced what someone who sits in the "normality" of heterosexual cis-gendered life will never understand completely, because it's not their life. i can understand the need for a safe place to relax with other like minded people. I am not what most term normal, having grown up in the Bible Belt i have seen some REAL idiocy and it baffles the hell out of me. I cant judge one person by another's actions no matter their race/color/creed/orientation. *hugs* this.. um this, and yeah this again lol. Sadly Drama is there, it even spills over in to attacks and harassment. All you can control is yourself, how you act and how you choose to let it affect you. It is unlikely you will change the cause of the drama by responding and judging them, this just feeds it more... then you have drama about drama. Strive to be positive, there is no reward for being negative and don't waste your limited energy on it. And forgive people for yourself, not for them... this will always be a work in progress. I agree, i have gotten VERY angry from posts or RP before, thats when i'll excuse myself and walk away. Ill log and do offline stuff, hit the punching bags or pel pole, then 'maybe' comeback if i dont feel my blood pressure rise from reading it again. i have failed this a few times and felt like a jackarse for doing so. I'll own my mistake and apologize even if i think my response was warranted. a personal attack or any post that treats people like shyte is to be avoided at all times. like my old Grandpa used to say "treat others as you want to be treated and the world is a much nicer place" course he also used to say "be kind and courteous at all times, you can always shoot them later if they earned it" lol.

Well, with the fact that her body was dying from the need to push the original vessel past its mortal limits, that'd be the best way to do it. not too familiar with lore here yet, but the Au Ra seem draconic or demonic in origin, maybe they can handle the etheric flow much better than normal. Would make sense as to why she would pick that race to body jump to. Or for a more touching way.. she could have been helped by a Au Ra as she hit the point of no return and inadvertently body snatched the poor girl. that would give you some intersting rp points, either guilt/responsibility for the death of the girls self. or if you wanted a more interesting path, have the young girl's self being preserved by your character. Could be interesting ever see the Tok'Ra from SG-1? either way tons of ways to do it, some could add a twist to your characters status quo if desired.

While there are a collection of players who RP within the main scenerio quest, I think the RPC has a wide variety of characters, many of which take on a much...lesser role in the story? I've found most are about standard NPC/city-NPC tier, generally without the Echo or Warrior of Light statuses. Some may go so far as to only roleplay a class and not a job, should the game's lore present the job as a "only the main character who is super special can become this". That is not to disuade you from RPing what you like, however! I think a balance and perhaps even a gradient of characters and their abilities is what makes the game feel so alive. When one can be a simple city-dweller up to the hero who saves the day, it allows for a very diverse amount of roleplay to occur. That said, a low-fantasy minded player/character is not likely to mesh well with a high-fantasy minded player/character. It's just the nature of RP. It is expected that people be respectful of others' playstyles (even if you can't take their character seriously or anything else) ((in terms of my own roleplay, Franz is certainly not the main character. Or even that skilled in his matial abilities. But he's durable. And has a mess of problems that are fun to work through, although they certainly push some of the lore to its limits.)) actually when it comes to the point that the main story is a "chosen one" type i ignore it when i RP, cause everyone is the chosen one. I still make a character that fits the world and roleplay it accordingly. dungeons and raids i pass off as major raids or encounters other than teh story line one given as most dont want to kill teh big bad ubermiench every day ICly. as to other peoples styles, i never try to step on anyone's toes, i dont like it when others try to ruin my fun so i wont do that to another. I usually talk oocly with the story teller for a RP session to make sure I know the ground rules and am comfortable with them. I hope i didnt come off as some kinda elitist arsehat, was not my intention lol. I find it odd when i hear RP'ers cant do PVE or PVP, maybe cause i started on teh RPPVP server in Everquest? hmm just hit me what tickles my bad bone with completely non lore characters. its like running a D&D game with a set campaign setting and suddenly one of your players throws in Gamma World characters. Im used to running or playing with a set of rules and playing within the set boundries of that universe. same goes for MMORPG's which are just the next logical step for table top gaming. heh my issue not anyone elses :roll:. all said and done i DO look forward to gaming with all of you at some point, we just set down ground rules ahead of time (like house rules) so everyone is on the same page and then have a damn fun good time.

am I the odd duck out? I actually run my raids In character and do just fine (admittedly on the games im not new at lol). My wife and i are used to RPing during quests, raids, dungeons, or even out farming. We are no slouches when it comes to playing pve either, she was the top raid healer for her everquest 2 server for years, and i was ranked #3 tank on city of heroes virtue server for more than a year. I have always seen RP as being in character while you play the character not stopping and pretending to move places while all talking in a circle. I run pathfinder games on Saturdays for that lol. Am i just misunderstanding the RP talk? (the terms do seem to change everytime i turn around... yay getting old lol)

You'll have to clarify. There's already a glamour system that allows people to overwrite the appearance of their armor, but I do believe that it's limited by class, job, and level (i.e. a level 25 pugilist can't glamour their armor to look like they're a level 50 Monk). i was thinking of the Guild Wars 2 system that let you take the looks for armor and weapons that you like and transpose them onto you current gear. I've seen that used a lot to perfect a look for RP. I was just wondering how that system would alter some issues if you could have your character look like you want and wield what you want because you changed the looks versus actually working towards that goal in game. as i said an odd thought.

It's already in FFXIV. It's referred to as "glamor" but accessing and using it requires having a level 50 character. cool, didnt know of that system. another reason to hit 50 (besides want a dark knight lol)
