After several moons of relative quiet and slow exploration Emalin is once again putting out the call for help in the Western Shroud. Event A: Even if death do us part. (Thursday, Oct. 19 8pm EST) There is the remains of a small homestead a little north of Crossing Mills. It had just been built by the newly weds Andrew and Lillian Greentend. Like many places it burned mostly to the ground in the firestorm that came with the calamity. Now at night some of the wailer patrols have reported seeing lights and hearing screams coming from the area. 1. Jana 2. Reis 3. Simbles 4. Event B:The Drill Sergeant from Hells (Thursday, Oct 26 8pm EST) One of the spires in the Western Shroud was known for the quality of the troops that were trained and stationed there. Cleansing the Crossing. (Friday March 24 9pm EST) The last bit to be done, the actual fight to cleanse the ruined town of Crossing Mills. Emalin will be bring several people along with the chests to contain the corrupt crystal in. The adventurers will have to hold off the ghouls that will surely attack while this is being done. (Sign ups for this one will be a little different. Basically whoever wants in sign up and will find a spot for ya and a GM for your section of the battle.) A favor for an elemental ((Thursday, Feb. 2 8pm EST)) The aetheric instability around Crossing Mills has proven to be a problem for anyone who wants to work magic in the area. Plans will be made. (1/21/17 9pm EST) A meeting is being called by Emalin for any and all that wish to attend to discuss what has been learned so far about the ashen and to form a plan to deal with them once and for all. The meeting will take place in Gridania in the conjurer's guild hall.

((I wrote this with the thought of setting a scene and seeing who wanted to join in and see what sorta story we can all weave together. Feel free to add to it if you want.)) It was a rare day in Ishgard. The sky above the towering spires of the city was a clear blue with only a few wisps of cloud. Down in the Brume was another rare sight: in the long open area just below the Forgotten Knight a large tent had been set up. The bright red and white canvas covered a good portion of the open and level ground between the wall and the alleys. Inside, braziers had been lit to warm the area and tables had been set out. Every time the wind shifted it carried the smell of cooking food. Inside the tent, several men and women were busily cooking up a meal large enough to feed an entire army: Roasted dodo from the farms outside Limsa, grilled fish caught in the rivers of the chocobo forest, antelope and boar steaks from the Twelveswood, and of course at least one person out there wouldn’t consider it a proper party if there weren’t miqo’bobs so a good portion of those were making their way to the tables as well. To one side of the tent, near where the alley ended, a bar was set up. Behind it were casks of stout beer and rum, bottles of whiskey and mead, all sorts of drinks for young and old alike. Eventually all was as ready as it could be so R’shesha adjusted her holiday robe as best she could and stepped outside the tent. “Friends, the meal is ready and the drinks are as well. Eat your fill and the bartenders will keep your cups full as long as you don’t overdo it. Please enjoy and have a lovely starlight celebration.” With that said she stepped aside and pulled the tent open for all to enter.

Round 3! The ashen monsters lair has been cleared out and clues have pointed at the town of Crossing Mills. There have been stories of a robed man sighted before attacks as well and some wonder if he might have some answers. Event 1: The search for answers ((Friday Dec 2. 7pm EST)) A man in the robes of a hearer has been seen before several of the attacks recently. Emalin has requested a group find him so she may ask him what he knows. 1. Anstarra 2. Jana 3. X'cinna 4. Event 2: Toppled Spire. (( Wednesday Dec. 7, 7p EST)) A camp must be established near Crossing Mills. There was a Wood Wailer Spire near the mills before the Calamity. Emalin and the Wailer Lt. working with her think if it is even partly intact it will make a defensible location. An enemy has been found. One group even managed to bring back two bodies to be studied. There are still farms in danger though and a lair that will need cleansing. ((ok, round 2!) Event 1: A little magic, a little science... ((Friday October 21st. 10pm EST)) Two bodies have been delivered to the Conjurer's Guild to be examined. They have since put out a call for aid to the Alchemist's Guild, the Arcanists and also anyone else with knowledge of magic and its effects on a person. 1. Nihka Mioni 2. Cervantes Volkorus 3. 4. Event 2: Warning the farms. ((Tuesday October 25th. 7pm EST)) The Wood Wailers are doing their best to warn the farmers, the hunters and the wood cutters about the dangers happening currently. Event 3: Its just a hole in the ground.... (Thursday October 27th, 7pm EST)) The lair was found by a group of scouting adventurers. West Shroud, the night of the Calamity. The sky was raining fire. Toban tried his best to push that realization out of his head as he led his family and their entire village towards Gridania. Above them another huge ball of flame, trailing black smoke, streaked overhead. The forest lit up with a hellish orange glow as it passed over and then out of sight before a low rumble echoed over the surrounding woods. Some of the other villagers cried out, calling to the twelve and the elementals to spare them. "We're almost there everyone. Soon Fallgourd will be in sight and then the city." Toban stopped for a moment, ushering several people past himself as he looked over the line of villagers. They all clutched at bags and sacks, the few possessions they all grabbed after it was decided to try and get to the city. The elementals tugged at Toban's senses. Urgency, fear, haste were all they would tell him. Suddenly everyone heard a roar that seemed to shake them from head to toe and the glow in the sky, the moon that had been coming closer and closer lit up the sky with orange light. With a horrid shriek it blew apart, fire hurtling to the ground and throwing huge plumes of smoke and flame into the sky. All around Toban, screams filled the night as the fire started to rain down nearby. The elementals as the ground and forest were twisted and blown apart. Toban looked to the head of the line where his wife and children stood. All of them looking back with fear on their faces. He reached up, comforting words on his lips when a sudden explosion threw him to the ground. He watched, almost in slow motion as fire surged out from the impact and something metallic, glinting in the fire spun end over end before striking his wife in the chest and throwing her to the ground. "Anna!" Toban struggled to stand back up, to rush to his wife's side when suddenly there was a loud, ominous crack and the ground beneath them all started to shift and bend. The river beside the path kicked up and roiled. With a sudden lurch the ground shifted and dumped about half the people into the water. Toban yelling in horror as he sees his daughter falling towards the suddenly surging waters "Emma!" All around him the elementals screamed in pain and fear as the land that made them cracked, fractured and began to burn. Toban fell to his knees, his ears ringing, the sounds of fear and pain almost covering up the crack of wood as the great oak next to him broke and began to fall towards him. His last sight before the tree crashed down was fire consuming the western shroud.

Something is stirring in the silent and broken expanse of the Western Shroud. People that live on the edge of this devastated stretch of the great forest report hearing loud noises and strange sights at night. Some of the more isolated farmsteads and camps have gone quiet. A hearer has been sent from the city to look into these reports and she has requested help from adventurers before. There are also the many and varied people that live beneath the branches here who will need help. ((Alright, so I am gonna try my hand at a storyline. Hope you'll enjoy it.) Event 1: A simple delivery. (Monday, August 29th, 7pm EST.) The Black Rabbit Traders of Gridania need to hire a group of escorts for a shipment to the Far Flower Farmstead. They are concerned with the safety of the shipment with the news of all the strange happenings in the area of the farm and wouldn't want anything to happen. The job is simple, bring the two chocobo carts to the farm and the next morning come back with them loaded with the farm's produce. 1. Awyrbyrt Fyrilsunnsyn 2. Adeya 3. Kuina 4. *held* Alternates. Event 2: Missing travelers (Wed. August 31, 7pm EST) Recently several travelers have gone missing from the roads between the north and central areas of the Black Shroud. Event 3: Those meddling kids (Sunday Sept. 4 9pm EST.) Nicolette Ambrioux has recently purchased and repaired a rather lovely little house at the far edge of the Central Shroud. It was abandoned after some minor fire damage and was quite the bargain. The only problem is now she can't sell it as she intended because it seems the place is haunted. The Hearer, Emalin Tiller, has decided that this is where she will start looking into the unrest on the border and has put out a leve asking for adventurers to help her. 1. S'imba 2. Xarl Raseiri 3.
