I'm a frequent returnee to the game and I'm trying my hand at things once again, just recently came back about a week ago and am trying to find some friends to spend time with, not only by RPing but also helping me along with the game itself. I just finished ARR story quests and am in the tedious transition to the Heavensward aspect of things! My character is a male Hyur by the name of Flynn Ivers, who dreams of being a professional chocobo racer but for now is just a residential troublemaker trying to get by in the world. Hiya, just wanted to pop in and say I'm basically in the same boat you are. About being lost, anyway. I seem to end up playing the game every year for a few months at a time trying to get into it but never can get something to stick, so whenever I come back I have to basically relearn the whole game over. xP I don't have Stormblood and still have yet to touch Heavensward content, but I'd love to finally learn to game's lore and actually get more into RP. Salutations members of the RPC! Firstly, let me say this will be my third post ever here on these lovely forums, and it's going to follow the same pattern as my previous two. I've come to notice that every year (strangely around this frame of time) I try to get back into FF14. My previous attempts yielded small result, and while I am ever grateful to people who reached out to me, or that were kind enough to respond to my outreach, it never seemed to turn out into something I felt lasting enough to keep me into the game. I feel this is mostly due to my personal issues, but either way, I've come into the game multiple times now to enjoy it for a few months but never find a place to call home and root me down. Anyway, that little intro aside, I'm here again and finding that Mateus is now an upcoming RP community (or rather an existing one that's growing rapidly?) and I'm taking a stab outside of my original Balmung character. My issue is that my actual time within the game is limited and sporadic. Over the past three years, I've been a part of the FF14 community for maybe, six months? My real knowledge of the game and of lore is quite lacking. Honestly, I find the game to be rather massive and intimidating, so I'm hoping to find some willing souls to take me under their wing. Teach me the lore, the ropes of the game itself, help me with dungeons and introduce me to 14's RP. I recently made a new character on Mateus, an Elezen male named Erraux Lamont, and the only idea I have in mind for him is that I want to be involved with chocobo. I remember that they're native to Ishgard, or Dra... something, so I figured Elezen would go well with it. I'd be interested in being a part of anybody's RP ideas, whether it be as a sibling/retainer/whatever can be used to introduce me to the community or story more. I'm located in the US-EST, and my job's hours make my playtime a little random, but I'll be making an effort to be on whenever possible. I play late night EST, so I feel like our timezone difference might work decent enough depending. Hey folks, just wanted to make a post and put myself out there by saying I'm looking for friends! All kinds really, short, tall, average... I mean, uh... Questing, RPing, that sort of thing! In all seriousness though, I've picked the game up again after a long break about a month ago now and I'm really in need of some pals to keep it interesting. I go by the character of Flynn Ivers in game, so shoot me a message sometime! But Flynn, why ever would I want to do that? A sound question! One of which I have no real answer to beyond... Please? I suppose I'm a medium RPer, mainly focusing on the game but never one to turn down the offer of roleplay. It's just not my main focus for the time since I'm still in that whole process known as "leveling". That's cool and all, I guess... but why would I want to roleplay with you? Another fine question my potential associate! To which my answer is... Please? I've created Flynn in mind with the purpose of being able to do just about anything. To give you a little information on him, he's a young Hyur Midlander at the wonderous age of twenty. The whole world is his oyster! He's been living on his lonesome for the past few years and has only been travelling and staying long enough in one place to scrape up some extra gil to make it to the next destination, and not starve! He does odd jobs to get by like the generic monster slaying, all the way to the other end of the spectrum of helping around in the local shops and taverns! He's a simple kind of guy with simple interests, though he's been recently intrigued in chocobo and all their wonderful potential. Really all this young lad wants to do is live a nice easy-going life and have fun along the way. There's some other semi-interesting details to this charming young fellow, but you'll only get them if we happen to sit down and roleplay sometime! Feeling enticed yet? Well, now that you've explained all that it doesn't sound too bad! I know, right?! I told you from the beginning this was a great idea, voice in my head! Now hopefully this will actually attract some people...

We should all three do a scene. : ) Since Flynn and Rini have already met once and we are still getting to know one another. That would be fun, for sure. I was just talking to Sani about that too actually, lol. We'll have to find a time to all get together!

I would love to have some RP/Leveling buddies to keep the game going! My main is a highest of 29 on both Lancer and Rogue right now under the name of Flynn Ivers! Basically left his backstory and such widely open so he can fit into just about any kind of situation. More or less though he's just a young Hyur who's travelling the world searching for some fun or interesting things to do. He's lived a lot of places and done a lot of things. Call him a jack of all trades, certainly master of none. If you wanna work out playtime or something feel free to PM me or just hit me up in game!

Some of my most regular hours for playtime are around late EST, so I'll be sure to keep an eye out for you the next time I'm online! Wow, I'm glad I found this post today... I'd just like to say that you're going through exactly what I'm going through right now. For some reason when it comes to an MMO, I just have the hardest time working up the courage to actually try to jump into any kind of social interaction. I've just start my old account back up and am really getting back into the game, but I don't have any friends who came with me, nor do I have any of that courage to try and make new ones. Whether it's for RP, which I haven't done any of yet either, or just to chat, hit me up on Wy'kayah Tia. I know I'll be checking to see if you're on, since one of us has to be the person to start talking!

Salutations RPers of FF:XIV! I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself, as I've just recently returned to the game and am sincerely hoping to make some quality friends. When I say returned it doesn't really count for much, however... I purchased the game a year ago and only played for about a month or so? I was unable to bring many of my personal friends over with me, and due to my lack of out-going-ness (or ambition really), I wasn't able to make any new friends... and let's face it, social interaction is the true driving force behind any MMO. Anywho, after skimming these forums for a few days, and just getting done reading through all the lovely RP confessions people were so generous to share. I came to the realization that we're all more or less the same with shared quirks and fears. I have mustered up the little courage I have when it comes to new social interaction and decided to actual register to the forums and make this post in hopes of enticing a number of you to talk to me. Onwards! In game I go by the name of Wy'kayah Tia, and as I'm sure you can all figure... Yes, I'm another one of those wonderful Miqo'te! Balmung is so outrageously full that my only choice (as a poor soul), is to return to my previous character as I am unable to create a new one! Now, I'm just getting back into the game and am more or less learning everything from scratch again, that being game mechanics to lore, along with everything in between. My computer, however, is far from the best and I feel my lack of PvE capability will drive me towards a more open RP schedule... In other words, as long as someone is willing to RP with me then I'll do whatever it takes to make it happen! ...Because I probably can't do much more than RP at this point... That being said, however, I haven't RPed seriously in about two years? Before that I would RP non-stop on WoW, having played that for about seven years, but after a while I just kind of fell out and would only RP with close friends. So, I have experience, I promise! The gears may just be a little rusted over. I tend to be an easy-going RPer, and even more so now since I still know very little of the lore for this majestic setting... so, uh... If you're interested in RPing, or maybe just chatting sometime, hit me up in game!
