If I can log into the game I'd love to be there... but what day is it on?

Yea a lot of the job req changes are really odd. Likebthe fact that Bard isn't very bard-y anymore, and that it requires PGL instead of CNJ (i leveled the wrong class too ) Why a Black Mage would need archery is.... beyond me.

@ Clover: while your idea would be awesome, FC's and LS's can barely agree on storylines to run, let alone entire communities. People simply desire far too much different things from their RP for something so large scale to work. However, 2-3 guilds can, with organization, create a pretty meaningful storyline for them. But to try and force a server-wide RP isn't fair for those who don't want that particular RP in their storyline. @OP: I maintain the single player storyline was written for gamers, not RPers. To try and force it into your RP usually flat out won't work, for reasons everyone have already illustrated.

Lets meet up then! I have been kept out of game due to 1017 and time constraints for far too long, and will be itching for some serious RP once I finally get a chance for a long gaming session sunday and monday

I'm not a big fan of the gear in this game, tbh. Its very.... lacking, but then again I've never been super impressed with FF clothes in the first place. However! I am still very early in the game yet, and perhaps I will find one I'll wish to post here about.

The statistics as I have gathered them: (these are loose figures based off of various polls) In Eorzea - Miqo'te - 50% Seeker 60% Keeper 40% Hyur - 25% Midlander 75% Highlander 25% Elezen - 13% Wildwood 50% Duskwight 50% Roegadyn - 7% Sea Wolves 90% Helsguard 10% Lalafell - 5% Plains 50% Dunes 50% Again, there is no scienxe behind these numbers, they are based off approximations from polls on both this site, and wikia. Therefore they are also limited to the RP community and Gilgamung.

I'm not disputing you. Personally, I think you are right, and that it is a selfish action. However, personally, I'm not going to let it get to me. I am here to have fun, and am not going to let the actions of others keep me from that. I am very sorry you haven't been able to get in yet. I too have struggled to get in, though I do have a char on Balmung. I've fallen further and further behind my friends (some of whom may even exploit this), so I symphathise with how much this sucks. Plus, I damaged my laptop last night. Things haven't exactly been going my way. Am I disappointed and frustrated? Absolutely. So much so that I'm taking a 5 day break to just take a step back from it. But I'm not going to take it out on other people because To do so would spoil my future enjoyment of the game. I kind of think of it like a busy highway full of bad, discourteous drivers. Many would rail against these drivers, and with good reason. But I just am generally slow to anger. I support Uther's message and his right to say it, but I personally hold no anger in my heart towards afkers.

Their announcement seems to indicate they will be raising server caps come monday. The question is whether they will be raising it enough. They have actually stopped sales of digital downloads until they get this issue fixed. Odd.

I kind of take issue with the fact that you seem to think rpers have more of a right to be on Bal/Gilg than non-rpers. They are not officially designated rp servers, merely the homes the rp community decided upon themselves. Uther, I am very happy you are a considerate gamer. I wish more of us were <3. In a perfect world we woyldn't even have thisproblem to deal with in the first place. Hopefully the server cap raise next week will provide the relief we all seek.

They are expanding server capacity starting next Monday, which, in their words, they hope makes a 'significant' impact. Courtesy towards fellow gamers would be sweet, but I don't begrudge people just trying to enjoy the game.

I've seen threads sharing Duskie love, Roe love, Miqo love (as if they need more love ), but haven't seen a thread about Wildwood love! I'm interested in seeing pics, RP stories (keep em brief or link wikis) and I'd also be interested in creating some Wildwood meetings in game once the servers stabilize. So leave your forests! Put down your bows and pull up a chair, and let me offer you some tea!

I love your message, but also think people will just be people. I figured out this exploit quite awhile ago. I have never used it, as I would feel absolutely horrible if I did, but I can't say I really blame people who do employ it. SE really just needs to create an auto-kick.

Precisely! This is how I feel on it. However, I think if people can figure out a way to include it and make it (logically) work, then more power too them. I agree! If you can find a way to incorporate, it can make for some very interesting rp. But don't deconstruct your character just to shove something into your story that doesn't belong there
