Gosh I didn't even notice the hair! I had to go back and see what you were talking about. I can't really see the ear but the scars and everything else look great. The most editing I've done to a screenshot is this: But that's nothing like what you've done. Do you use a special brush for the scars too? Or was that a regular brush and talent? I have photoshop and I'm decent with it, I've done a lot of work with GIFs and editing those. The scars were all done with a regular circle brush of varying sizes. Used a 1 or 2 pixel size for the small scratch scars, and maybe a 5 or bigger size brush for the claw/teeth scars.

It's actually very easy to photo manipulate in-game screenshots! I'd recommend using Photoshop for them because if you zoom in all the way it separates all the pixels into tiny squares so it's easy to select the color to blend in and make indents in the skin; like for the bite marks and claw dragged scars on his torso. You can't really see it but he has a clip in his upper ear cartilage too, and I added two sets of piercings to his left ear. The hair was a photoshop brush that was designed to work as hair in multiple strokes so another easy one there!

I hope you do. Your lines are gorgeous though so it'll still be great if you decide not to color. Well I've begun the line art and damn am I having problems with it.. The armor he's wearing is Herklaedi from Odin's Mantle purchase and it has a lot of minor details on it. I may end up editing the armor to be a bit more simple when I'm done with the entire line art.

Well it's still in WiP form. Need to clean it up during Line arting and then I'll decide if I want to color it or not. But we'll see!

Eorzea's Most studly scholar is finally finished!

(OOC Note: Depending how well excerpt 1 is recieved; I'll continue to update this little story detailing the history of Javou D'avont and Sinjin Montaigu's fathers.) Excerpt 1. The story following this introduction will not be sugarcoated in the slightest as every detail must be met in order to understand the complications of the Montaigu and D’avont families and why there-in the two single survivors of both families, continue to this day; to quarrel amongst themselves to a point of deathly intent. For you see.. the two families were once a whole under the surname of Thibault. But the story did not start with these lone survivors; It began at a much earlier period, when the Thibault family was well endowed in the lands of Coerthas and the regions under Ishgardian rule. Our story begins well before the calamity, in a heavily wooded area on the borders of the Black Shroud. Where a family is about to welcome their new children into this world. It was a night delivery; one that required riding into town and securing the good physician from his hours of sleep to attend and perform such a task of childbirth. The lucky recipients were to be of noble heritage stemming from a sect of the House of Haillenarte; Lord Javou Kavriel Thibault II and Lady Jozyln Amara Thibault of whom lived in their family abode just outside a small settlement. It was a difficult labor as the Lady and Lord of the house knew of only two lives coming into their world. Twins were a definite knowledge to them; however, it was the third that caught them by surprise asJozyln described feeling that she was not yet done. And as thus the third child was born only five minutes after the set before. The couple took no hesitation to rejoice in the delivery of three healthy boys and the news quickly spread to the small village just a ways ahead and their names became the talk of the town square. Markus, Marquees, and Marius. While considered triplets; only Markus and Marquees shared identical features while Marius; the late comer, bore resemblance to their mother more so featuring a lighter blonde hair and brilliant summer green eyes. Very little knew how the boys would turn out from then on, as only time could tell as they aged. --------

Well I can already say that Javou is a womanizer. Whispers sweet nothings, takes them back to his place, has his fun then boots them out the next morning. I'm also considering starting up an RP plot to sort of put the FC out there with taking applications for experimenting with various beast bloods; injecting them into other people via a serum to study the effects and if it can be utilized to strengthen allies. If you're interested though I'm on Sinjin Montaigu and we can talk a bit.

Well.. Trinity Syndicate/Trinity Council was/is a FC that presents itself as a "For the betterment of Eorzea" Company with an overshadowing of sinister dwellings and corrupt rule. It was/is comprised of three sections; a militia, a research team, and a construction team. Javou D'avont is the lead of the Scholarly research team and dresses like any regular noble out for a righteous cause, but underneath all that scholarly attire is something stirring. The reason I have was/is in there is because I'm still debating on keeping this story of it up or changing it to something else. Pre the game going live I had a bunch of help and already had established officers; but as soon as the game went live they all split, couldn't pay for the game sub, or went to another server without telling me so I've been pretty discouraged from continuing.

Well I'm not sure where else to post this to be honest. I was wrongfully banned on the Official FFXIV forums and I'm still trying to get a response from a real person and not an automated message (which I've gotten three times in a row despite requesting additional assistance.) But if you have any additional sites/forums I could try to get some additional input on this, I'd appreciate it.

Well here's a question; how long ago did you use the phial from the time you requested a restoration?

In previous games I played; people liked to Roleplay it as if my character was a goods vendor/merchant/supplier and often heavily supported more interactions like this to be carried out. I even had a few people pay more for a certain good because it brought a sense of lively-ness to the game.

Half the time I forget what I type in my poll boxes. Thought I did put an indication to explain a reasoning; but clearly did not. Anyway; I suppose this thread can be ignored now seeing as it's not gaining as much interest as I'd hoped.

Well it's a little disheartening that two people would disagree with this and not offer an explanation as to why they don't think this is a good idea. While I am an artist; I am not confident enough to run commissions like some of the artists on this site so therefore I must look to another alternative; that I love doing, to get some form of gil to afford what I can.

During these farming grinds I will generally break for 2-5 minutes every 30 minutes as I do this non-stop at times. I've been working heavily on a new idea as the Trinity Syndicate has not seen much action as of late and have tried to brainstorm new ideas to bring the community together even closer than before. Then it donned on me. Player Elected and Player run councils based on the three nations. There will be three Linkshells (For those who are already in a Free Company) and one Free Company (For those who wish to join one.) Here is what I have listed under the profile page on this site. I fail to understand how something can become "More" toxic when the game was recently re-released, isn't on it's 1st anniversary of re-release, and the fact that you joined the community in July 2013. To be more on topic; I've failed to notice any toxicity save for the few aforementioned beings spoken of about on the forums as of late.
