Maybe I can take you boys out for an adventure or two.

FFXIV, Elder Scrolls Online, and Wildstar are all going with traditional subscription models, and I'm glad to see it. I somewhat understand the views on F2P, and how "if you never play it, you'll never pay it", but some F2P models are such a turn off *cough SWTOR*. I'd rather see companies thinking long term, and have a plan in place that warrants $14.99 a month. Most of the F2P craze seems to be daily fest, casual MMOs that lack good end game (except LOTRO). Produce a well thought out, long lasting game, and we'll be there with our $$$

Thank you Khaze'to. I went ahead and tossed an app out on the site. It never hurts to take a pearl. It only hurts to throw one away

Glad to see a few people are interested. I'll write ya down and pearl you in-game. Looks like we're gonna have an up hill battle. Always do with this. The LS is called Heartless Hope you don't mind a little Kingdom Hearts with your FF.

Hello everyone! With ARR about to launch, I decided to reach out, and try to find the few daytime raiders out there. I know we're a small population of players. Most of us end up in daytime PUGs, or staying up late hours to get our end game on. I'm hoping to find enough people to fill 24 man content. I don't mind if you're new. Just starting out. This will be a progression based LS/FC to start. I myself have all jobs at 50, and am going to spend the first few weeks heavily on crafting and arcanist. This will give new players plenty of time to find their footing. I'm hoping to begin progression as soon as possible. I'd like to run events during the weekdays, any time between 8 am to 4 pm EST, depending on group availability. Anyone who is interested in daytime play, please post any questions. I'd love to start forming up now, versus chat spam in towns. I myself am a roleplayer as well. I plan to have pearls for doing just that. This LS will be based more towards PvE/End Game. Let me know if you'd like to toss a pearl in your bag. Lets make this happen

I myself am in the same boat. My primary goal is to run all end game, and earn a relic/relics. During non-event times is when I roleplay. I also tend to be a daytime EST player, which causes more difficulty for finding a core end game group. Most likely I'll have to join an RP linkshell, and an end game FC. I'd love to have both. Only time will tell.

I leveled all jobs to 50, and all crafting/gathering to 20. Once there, I took alchemy and fishing to 50, and reached 33 weaver before the server lock. With A Realm Reborn, I'm looking forward to capping all of my crafting and gathering classes, as well as Arcanist. Gotta have em all

Renna Xai - A Realm Reborn

I. Basic Info Characters: Renna Xai Primary character: Renna Xai Linkshells: Looking for a home Primary RP linkshell: Still looking II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): I would label myself as a medium to heavy roleplayer. I'm always in character as situations allow. I do run all aspects of end game, so RP depends on the group I'm with. Views on RP combat and injuries: RP combat is situational. If it's our first time running a dungeon or raid, probably not. If it's our 100th time, RP away. As for injuries, I personally find them annoying. I was in a heavy RP LS for about 2 months, and we had like 6 people get injuries on different days. Everyone was laying around, wanting taken care of. Fun. I think injury roleplay should be used scarcely. Take your raise, and shake it off. Views on IC romance: I'm ok with romance, as long as it makes sense for the characters. I personally have never had any of my characters in a relationship, since we were all focused on that whole "Dalamud is falling, Garlean's are invading" thing. Perhaps in A Realm Reborn. Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): RP is the best part of MMORPGs in my mind. I absolutely love losing myself in my character, and living in our world as it comes to me. I've never attempted any RP family ties, as folks tend to come and go on any online game. I'm sure it could make for some fun RP when they disappear, but I won't waste my time "looking" for them while they're playing another game. That said, I don't mind helping others look for their family Views on lore: I do enjoy the lore for our game. I admit, I'm no expert on the subject, as I did blast through many cutscenes. But I have a knowledge and respect for our game's lore, and RP according to it's needs. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): /say and emotes are my most used forms of communication for roleplay. As for linkshells, that all depends on the rules they've set forth. Some use it for IC, some OOC, I just follow as needed. III. Other Info Country: United States Timezone: Eastern Contact info: Usually you can get a hold of me on twitter @RennaXai or through PM here or on enjin @ http://www.enjin.com/profile/3234920

Each job you have leveled gets their own set of attribute points. I believe its 30 points for a level 50 job. So for my monk, I stuck all 30 in STR. Then when I switched to black mage, I stuck all 30 in INT. Hope this helps. And hope I placed my points right

I always say Fern-halls. Not sure what others say.

Hello and welcome. Go go Roegadyn.

Anyone know if you can preorder the Collectors Edition in stores? All the retail links only have standard copies for preorder.

It was really cool. Dalamud started as just a tiny red pixel in the sky. With each patch it got closer and closer. For regular players, they treated the approach as just new content, and motivation to prepare for what was ahead with 2.0. I found myself leveling all the combat jobs to 50 as fast as I could. Then with the last few months, I was able to take in what we were a part of. We were literally watching the end of our world as we knew it. To those that didn't RP, they truly missed out on some great emotions and stories that most gamers will never get to experience. During the last battle, I remember being gathered close with my friends, fighting as if we had no tomorrow. In the end, the haunting music, and feeling of impending doom were all we were left with til the server shut down. The last cutscene made me cry... Oops! I mean...No big deal. You didn't miss out on nothing

I wish the camera was closer for the video. Not sure why they decided on creepy voyeur cam. The bard almost jumps out of view completely.

The problem with them labeling it RP now, is another server was merged with us already. So you have all those non-RPers, plus all those from Besaid that didn't RP. It's not fair to "take" their server. That's why LOTRO would have called it RE. They've confirmed they're adding servers already. I wonder what their plans are for this. A lodestone poll of the community would be nice to see.

What games are you playing/looking forward to?
Renna replied to Orlog's topic in Off-Topic Discussion
I'm playing LOTRO, and some SWTOR still. Mostly I've been playing through the offline Final Fantasy games, trying to hold myself over til XIV. I wouldn't hold your breath for Monster Hunter Online either. We'll probably have to download it and an english patch, like with Phantasy Star Online 2. -
So glad I'm a 50 alchemist. I love it <3
