Ishgardian Elezens are also not Wildwood. In the Ishgard page of the lorebook, their demographics are Ishgardian Elezen 80%, Midlander Hyur 20%. Rihtahtyn Sas Arvina, I think is a Garlean Roegadyn who is neither Sea Wolves nor Hellsguard

warrior is a Hellsguard thing? I just can't RP my Sea Wolves as a Warrior or I just can't play a Hellsguard character that starts in Limsa Lominsa. The best thing I can think of is start Hellsguard as a gladiator in Ul'dah and make him a warrior while OOC'ing the Marauder part.

I have 1 main (non RP) and 3 RP characters (an Ala Mhigo Highlander refugee who becomes a sellsword in Ul'dah, a Gridanian Elezen archer and a sunseeker student in Limsa). Due to time constraint, i only have time for my main and my Elezen archer. I completed the other 2's beginning scenario. I planned to make my 3 RP characters First Lieutenant of their respective GC but couldnt find the time.

Sounds like a perfect background to be a Dark Knight. Maybe have her go through the Dark Knight story and then have a "Cecil" moment and finally decide to be a Paladin for good. PLD to 50, DRK to 50, then back to PLD

never mind. i found it. theres a clearing south east of larkscall with a path blocked with broken wheels. they even have garlean soldiers scouting the area. love the attention to details in the game

It's easy for me: My main character is the Warrior of Light and my alts are the companions. When I say I like to RP, I don't mean I like to RP with other players. I RP by giving my characters backstories and RP them with each other.

If we ever go to Ala Mhigo, it looks like we have to go to Sylph territory in the East Shroud. Or maybe they will create an access from the northeast part of South Shroud

Anyone have any idea on how much time passed between story arcs? For starters, some time seems have to passed between completing the opening 15 levels and the 3 starter dungeons because when you go back to your adventurer's guild to do the 3 starter dungeons, they welcome you like you've been gone for awhile I also think a few weeks or months passed between Ifrit arc and Titan arc, again betwen Titan arc and Garuda arc, also between Garuda arc and Operation Archon due to the optional dungeons. (Halatali between Ifrit and Toto-rak, Qarn and Cutters Cry between Titan and going to Ishgard, Dzemael Darkhold and Aurum Vale between Garuda and Cape Westwind). The Warrior of Light probably have time to do these dungeons before being called by Minfilia to continue the main story.

Interesting. Duskwight might be interesting to roleplay. I already have a character idea. A duskwight student at the lancer guild being bullied by his classmates. Only Ywain believes in him. Becomes good friends with Foulques and has to make a choice in joining Foulques and forsaking the lancer guild.

Is the Duskwood the "black sheep" of the playable races? Their official description says they work as thieves. The lancer quests especially have this duskwood villain and the "of course it's the duskwood" comment at the end gives the impression that duskwoods have bad reputation. the gladiator queses also have you fight duskwood lancers.

Damn. I hate playing a male character. Change of plan. Since I won't have time to play 8 characters anyway, I'm going to reduce my characters to 5 "good looking" female Midlander WHM, from Gridania Highlander PLD, from Ul'Dah Wildwood DRG, from Ishgard Raen NIN, from Doma Seeker SMN, from Limsa Lominsa Incidently, those are the 5 jobs of the FFIV final party, which is my favorite game ever.

Why did Minfilia declare the 7th Astral Era at the end of 2.0? Who gets to decide whether we have moved from an Umbral Era to Astral Era? (Astral to Umbral is easy. It's a calamity). What if someone disagrees and thinks we're still in the Umbral era?

I have settled on my 8 characters for FFXIV! 1. Yuella Davilles, Female Hyur Midlander White Mage This is my main character, the Warrior of Light in my story. This is the character I will play "normally" and do many side quests and discover the lores. Based on my ideal "mother figure" or "sister figure", a "girl next door" type. 2. Jane Eyre, Female Hyur Highlander Paladin This is based on my geeky male fantasy of a female knight in shining armor (and she'll be a hot blonde of course ). She is a Sultansworn who helps Yuella whenever the MSQ goes to Thanalan. One of Yuella's companions in Praetorium. Name based on Charlotte Bronte's most famous novel. Highlander naming convention is a bit forced but Eyre means "a circuit court held in medieval England by a judge (a justice in eyre ) who rode from county to county for that purpose" 3. Wuthering Heights, Male Roegadyn 75% Sea Wolves, 25% Hellsguard Warrior Yuella's main helper whenever the MSQ goes to La Noscea. One of Yuella's companions in Praetorium. Name based on Emily Bronte's novel. 4. ???, Male Miqo'te Moon Seeker Bard Yuella's main helper in The Shroud. One of Yuella's companions in Praetorium. A carefree guy who just loves a good story to tell in taverns. 5. ???, Male Lalafell Plainsfolk Scholar A geek who mostly researches in the background although he joins Yuella in Praetorium. Based on myself. 6. ???, Male Lalafell Dunesfolk Black Mage Just someone who loves destruction. One of Yuella's companions in Praetorium. 7. Charmilyne Bronte, Female Elezen Wildwood Dragoon Also based on my geeky female knight fantasy (red hair this time). An Ishgardian who is sent to spy on the Eorzean alliance. She's infatuated with Haurchefant (unrequited of course). Heavily involved in Heavensward storyline (unlike the others who kinda do their own thing after 2.0 ends). One of Yuella's companions in Praetorium. Name based on the Bronte Sisters (Charlotte, Emily, Anne). 8. ???, Female Au Ra Raen Ninja Daughter of Doman escapees who joined the Dutiful Sisters of the Edelweiss. One of Yuella's companions in Praetorium. Under Yugiri's suggestion, she trained to be a Ninja under Oboro (so she's technically still a Rogue during the Praetorium mission)

alright. i actually havent even created this character yet. i have so many ideas for characters but not enough time to play. lol.

Let's say my character is a Sultansworn dedicated to the Sultan / Sultana. When Nanamo announces that she would abolish the monarchy, all the Sultansworns would practically lose their jobs. I think my character would be in the league with Lolorito and participate in faking Nanamo's death, achieving two objectives: Protect her AND keeping the monarchy (at least delaying its abolishment).

while you can make any race work with any job, i wonder if there are 1 or 2 more suitable race lore-wise (not stat-wise) Gladiator: Hellsguard, Highlander Marauder: Sea Wolves Lancer: Wildwood, Highlander Archer: Wildwood, Keeper Pugilist: Highlander Rogue: Midlander, Seeker(?), Plainsfolk(?) Conjurer: Midlander Thaumaturge: Dunesfolk Arcanist: Seeker(?), Plainsfolk (?) (what races did the Nym kingdom have?) Cant fit Duskwight anywhere

Just created my Sea Wolves. His name is Wuthering Heights and he's a Marauder in Zodiark server ^^ I plan for this character to not finish the MSQ. going to play through Ifrit and he deserts the Scions and focus on the working for the Maelstorm.

Hi! I want to name my Roe "Wuthering Heights" because it's my favorite english novel. I could make a Hellsguard and just name him Wuthering Heights but a Sea Wolves marauder would fit the character more. I think Wuthering can be translated to Stormy wind so Styrmwaen? Heights can mean hill but there's no hill so mountain (Berk). I can make it "son of the mountain" so Styrmwaen Berksyn? or... I can make Wuthering Heights the first name (Styrmberk / Styrmberk?) and the last name can describe the main character (Heathcliff) who is an uncultivated person (wild son, Wiltsyn?). So the name is Styrmberk Wiltsyn. Styrmwaen Berksyn vs Styrmberk Wiltsyn ? or I can just name my Sea Wolves "Wuthering Heights" since I read some Sea Wolves use common language?

so marauders are sea wolves but warriors are hellsguard. that's actually easier to RP. start as Hellsguard in uldah, practicing gladiator while working part time as pugilist. play pugilist to 12 and gla to 34. then just skip marauder RP to 30 and start RP again as warrior.

thx. it makes roleplaying your character a bit tricky. how does your story goes when going from a class to a job. whats your excuse for leveling your secondary class to unlock your job. or maybe start roleplaying at lvl 30
