  1. To be fair, the dungeons are actually really simple for the most part up until around level 35. Even with the DF it's pretty difficult not to get through a dungeon pretty quickly.
  2. I'm going to be 100% honest with you, if you're not into dungeons than this game is most definitely not for you. Outside of a few FATEs, and PvP the only thing to do once you hit level 50 is to do dungeons, and in order to progress through the main storyline you have to do EVERY dungeon in the game at least once. It doesn't just stop at the first three. At level 15 to 17 you do Sastasha, Tam-Tara Deepcroft, and Copperbell Mines. Then at around level 25 you do Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak. At level 29-ish you do Haukke Manor, and at around level 32 you do Brayflox Longstop. That's as far as I have gotten, though I know there is another at 35, and let's not forget the Primal fights spread out through the game. tl;dr: This game is entirely run on dungeon grinding, so if you're not into that you're going to miss out on about 50-60% of the game. My suggestion would be to try it, if you still feel it's too stressful for you then you're best bet would be to move on.
  3. Sadly http://xivdb.com/?item/6221/Fantasia only allows you to change your appearance, not your name.
  4. I've waited almost three years to play this game, nothing short of them canceling it and closing the servers will stop me from playing. It's just frustrating to have to jump through all these hoops.
  5. Final Fantasy MXVII: An Error Reborn
  6. Don't listen to them, we're terrible people who push old ladies and kick puppies.
  7. New follow-up just posted, this suggests to me that 90% of the issues they're having right now are due to congestion. Too many people all trying to login at the same time, all clogging up the same zones at the same time, all trying to do the same quests and dungeons at the same time. I'm not sure they'll honestly be able to fix this unless they actually upgrade the hardware on their servers, which could take quite a bit of time in and of itself. These issues will more then likely all go away after a day or two once the server population stabilizes.
  8. Using the lodestone is the best way to get information since the devs have stopped responding directly to posts and any info is coming in the form of status updates, which all get posted on the lodestone front page.
  9. On the topic of the main questline, does it really force you to group up for a dungeon or am I mistaken and have managed to screw up somewhere? Because I'm too much of a wuss to use the duty finder by myself. ;__; Once you hit level 15 you'll need to do three dungeons to progress the main scenario, and you will need a group for these. You'll either have to use the Duty Finder or find a group on your server.
  10. I'm afraid to leave my inn room... I don't want another Error 90000...
  11. This is all some kind of sick psychology test to see how much NA/EU players will complain over trivial matters like they're the most important things in the world. <.
  12. I can't even get to the point where it can tell me the world is full. Every time I login it tells me it can't locate the servers or some nonsense. "Unable to update the Group NA/EU character list."
  13. I can't even get the servers to show up.
  14. So essentially their fix is to cap the servers at a low population to find out if the DF works. But, and no offense to anyone, there are many players who log in and stay AFK (since no kick out timer) for hours on end. So makes me wonder which is the lesser of 2 evils in that regard. Spouse and I won't be able to get in today more than likely. Shame, but I decided to fall last night and have contusions (splintered fractures) on my left hand in boredom ... I guess .... *icepacks hand* That's pretty hardcore, I usually just watch TV when I'm bored. You're pretty Metal.
  15. Don't forget about Hiromichi Tanaka and Yoichi Wada, the former Director of Final Fantasy XIV and the CEO of Square-Enix who both technically lost their jobs over something like this.
  16. I think I might just go back to sleep. Can't login to the game, can't access the forums, and now I can't access the Lodestone either.
  17. That WOULD be nice and all but I would also settle if he made a post afterward everything is fix fix giving a general apology to us. I'd rather him just make a post saying it's fixed, and for it to actually be fixed. I don't need an apology, I need my addiction.
  18. Ironically we're having more issues now than we ever did in any of the beta phases.
  19. Note that he states there was a separate issue that was still causing the error. Maybe whatever that separate issues was has now become widespread.
  20. This feels more like beta than beta did...
