I could give a few suggestions if I had a budget she was working with. But personally, if I was aiming for just a pure gaming machine, I'd look at MSI's line of Gaming Series laptops. They vary overall in price and parts but come with MSI's well known high quality build and components. I'll really let them speak for themselves and if you'd like, there are thousands of overviews and reviews on them. As an MSI fanboy (Running MSI GFX cards and motherboard all day, e'ery day.) I will personally claim I've never had an issue with their products except once. Which was RMA'd and resent within two weeks. Overall. My suggestion. Edit: For their Gaming Series laptops. Even the cheapest one they have should run ARR on roughly high settings. Using the GTX 740M and i5-4200M processor.

Well. It's been mentioned a few times that with my character's style of backstory (pirate/privateer) that he may/might possibly have children he doesn't know about. Which would possibly work out being he's 32 now. Meaning with the style of world and the story, anything past 16 to maybe slip up and have a child could be possible and it would explain why he doesn't know as well.

See. This right here... This is a prime example of why these threads are not only stupid, but blatantly become a tossing of biased opinions and crap. I'll throw my example here on how to prove this wrong though. There is one key community on the internet known for 'giant ERP circle' type RP. That's a website called Darknest. Go there and look in "Other Game Ads" and tell me what server all the ads for Final Fantasy XIV are for. This is just a prime example that... Hey, guess what, every RP community has this. But don't go waving your elitist bullshit and attacking a full community of RPers because you feel the need to make your own part of the community seem better. I've seen some RP that's not exactly publicly acceptable. I've also seen some amazing RP come about. Most of my RP has been random, found in the world with people I didn't know before on Gilgamesh. Long standing, serious RPs are starting. Serious, extremely well written characters. Development and just exciting things are happening everywhere. As for this thread? It should be closed. Because this is just stupid. Elitists and biased opinions will attack it in waves. If you're not sure where you want to settle? Roll a toon on both servers and stay where you feel more welcome. That's what I did and I brought a lot of people with me. Simple as that. I have a bias for Gilgamesh, but that's because of the reactions I've gotten. If you want to shoot your mouth off, talk shit or the like? Take it elsewhere. I don't care to hear this shit and it's not needed in a community of AMAZING people. Both servers are amazing in their own ways. Don't agree? Then you're looking through rose colored glasses to the one you prefer. And if this kind of blow up gets me in trouble? I really don't care. It needs to be said. Do what you find fun. Get your money per month out of it. Make friends, write good stories and promote the good and not the bad. Peace, love and fluffy kittens.

Gilgamesh has a total of four Linkshells at this point full of RPers that I know of. All at the 128 limit and maybe even some I don't know about. The RPC has 2 alone that I know of plus the LFRP channel and another one I'd heard about from Reddit players. It's a very well established server with a very welcoming community. Taking the time during non-peak hours has proven well worth it for a lot of people I've met to come in and meld with the cooking pot here. I of course support open RP game wide. But I'm loving my new RP home as well.

Not only is it okay Mio, it's welcomed whole heartedly. We'll even be escorting people from Zephyr Gate to Costa Del Sol starting just before the official start of the event. So even being in starting gear, we'll get you there so you can enjoy it.

We're in the business of business. Simple as that. If it can make gil, we do it. What more can be said? Black Sun Trading doubles as a Free Company and a Linkshell. Free Company chat is OOC, set up with the In Character job titles as ranks. The Linkshell itself is an IC Linkpearl system. The company itself is in itself a very broad company of merchants, crafters and gatherers working to amass a good reputation and of course... Gil. Behind the curtains? Well, who knows really? Anything from drugs to information dealing to a black market and even prostitution is available mattering on supply and demand. If it makes gil, the company does it as long as there is someone there that can handle it. Recruitment will be open for a good while and the positions open up with a resume setup on the website. If you want to become a Manager, you have to work for it and be dedicated. Simple as that.

New to the RPC, 1.0 Player from back when Besaid was still around and all around RP enthusiast. I don't really have any questions, between my wife (Who is joining me in coming to ARR.) and I we've been scouring the interwebs on every little piece of lore, gameplay and the like for this game. I honestly can not wait until August to meet a lot of the people on here and others from around the world to enjoy this new, exciting feel of a game I already enjoyed. For my character? Well... He's going to be mainly a bard. Basing in Limsa Lominsa as his home. And running his own little company. Black Sun Trading will be a free company lead by myself and another fellow coming with me to 2.0 and also in the Beta now, Ryuichi Braidon. If you're interested in some trading/not-always-so-legal activities or simply a song and conversation. Look us up when we've found our home on either Balmung or a secondary Non-Legacy server that we'll be starting fresh on. And as always... Hello there. I saw this thread on the official forums and I'm happy I did. I've heard of the RPC since back in 1.0 Beta. I was one of the players who can remember back when Besaid was first picked as the unofficial RP server and it was a good time for the short period I was able to play 1.0. To voice my own thing though... I have a decent sized group of really fantastic role players who are all coming with me from another popular MMO (No names will be mentioned) and every one of us except myself are buying this game fresh in 2.0. We've been looking for a fresh start, something new but also something we can really get into and immerse ourselves in. Which, of course, has me drawn to the RPC and Balmung. But with about a dozen greenhorns to the game, a Non-Legacy server is more attractive so we're not having to play catch-up when it comes to leveling and gil and the like. Support goes either way for me personally. I remember Besaid having the best community I've seen on an MMO and I'd love to be a part of it again. But as Fire has stated as well, and I support as well, concerns are concerns. Thank you all for bringing such a community to a fantastic game, all in all.
