  1. My male Highlander might very well end up becoming a female Roegadyn, which might be a little hard to explain to his IC parents. I thought I'd gotten over my attachment to him, though, but after futzing around with him a bit this last beta period, I'm thinking I'll still keep him around. Granted, I'm going to dramatically alter his appearance, but at least he'll still keep his race/gender in tact (...maybe). Forgot to take screenshots of him this time around, though, so I'll get around to it next beta phase.
  2. Hmmmm... I was rummaging through pictures of myself and came to the sudden realization that I have, like, zero "normal" pictures of myself. >.>
  3. I have photos of me around here somewhere. The trick is finding ones that I actually want to post.
  4. I can see that. Female Roegadyns seem to be to Elezen what the Highlanders are to Hyur.
  5. Is it a SPACE CHOCOBO?!!!! :surprise: I haven't 100% hammered down the personalities of my characters just yet, since my 1.0 ones are going through sweeping revisions, so the chocobo name will be based entirely on their personality.
  6. I'm still in the designing process in regards to updating my 1.0 Highlander to 2.0. He's turning from a black/red haired islander punk into something that looks like an older, wiser Thor impersonator. I kind of dig it. He's a cool cat. Speaking of cool cats: I made this character on a whim after I discovered that there were more Face Paint option if you scrolled the bar down in character creation (took me forever to discover that). At first I was just messing around, but I've actually grown quite attached to her look.
  7. I tend to pick the most underrepresented race that has an aesthetic I can deal with. I actually like playing bigger/taller characters, so Roegadyn seemed like it would be a good fit (not as many of them and they're huge), but I can't stand playing weirdly proportioned characters, so I found I couldn't tolerate Roe for long. Elezen were tall, but I had the same problem due to their head size in relation to their bodies. So, in 1.0, I ended up with Highlander, since they were a larger race and there really weren't too many of them around either. In 2.0, I was originally going to try the male Miqo'te (hence the signature/avatar), but as much as I try, I just have a really hard time playing the most popular races. It's a habit I was trying to break, but for some reason it bugs me. It also doesn't help that Miqo'te are short as well. Soooo, I'll probably end up going back to being a Highlander again. In other news, though, I usually have a male main and a female alt, and the Female Roegadyn is pretty much my new favorite thing ever. I was the type of person that would rather play a female Aman than a Castanic or High Elf (for those who've played TERA). I just like the idea of being huge, strong, yet still feminine. It's super appealing to me. Plus, there really arent' that many of them and the only things that are truly out of proportion is their bust size (which can be remedied) and their flat booties (which seems to be a problem with every race). So, basically that was a large rant saying I'll be splitting time between a new Highlander and a Female Sea Wolf. RIP Man'qote, I hardly knew ye.
  8. I'll most likely have to split time between Balmung and a non-legacy server. I played in 1.0 and didn't get very far (about level 20 in all classes), but I was still involved quite heavily in RP at the time and got involved with a great linkshell. I probably would've ended on a much higher level if I hadn't just screwed around with everyone in that linkshell all day. Having an established, accessible, and easily recognized RP community means a lot to me, which is why I want to continue playing and roleplaying my 1.0 character. Unfortunately, every single one of my friends that I've made throughout the Beta period is completely deadset against a Legacy server. They're all RPers, they just have zero interest in joining a server with already established characters. I understand their hesitance up to a point, even if I don't share it. The only unfortunate thing is that they're purposefully splitting away from the greater RP community due to it. Hopefully we'll at least land on the secondary RP server. Best case scenario, I can change their minds about Legacy before launch. Worst case scenario, I'm going to be a very busy Miqo'te/Highlander/Roegadyn RPer.
