Weeeeeeell the Wayfarers of Eorzea is far from a criminal organization, but if your toon is just looking for a place where people will accept her, the fc will do just fine! It's my first FC in the game and as a new FFXIV player, I feel super comfortable here. The rpers are all super sweet ooc and really talented storytellers. I highly recommend it!

WoW was my second MMORPG with my first being Perfect World International (which I don't really count anymore since I only played for about two weeks ) but it was the first game I've ever rp'd in. It was the birth of my nerdcore, and I appreciate it for what it is. The one thing I miss the most, I think, is the limited instances in the open world? I mean how you can just fly from one end of the planet to the other and see what's going on above and below, like the sunsets and people fighting and running around, and it gives you a sense of just how big Azeroth is. I wish there was more of that in mmos, but I understand how difficult it is to pull that off (I think. It's been explained to me a few times).

[*][*][*][*] II. RP Style Amount of RP (light, medium, heavy): Well I bought the game because of the promising rp community, if that says anything! I do like to actually play, but I'm here for the rp. That said, I'm not IC all the time. I'm probably somewhere around medium-heavy. Views on RP combat and injuries: Absolutely! with consent. I'm ALL FOR adventure / combat / intense rp, but anything that will result in significant emotional or physical scarring should be discussed first. Views on IC romance: As long as there is a very, very clear line between ic and ooc, this is good too! I'm not a fan of storybook insta-romance, though, and it isn't my primary storytelling focus, but if there is a chemistry between characters and the stories just happen to evolve naturally in that direction, sure! Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): A MILLION TIMES THIS. I feel as though friendships can be just as valid as romances when it comes to emotional development in rp, if not moreso. Bring it on! My characters' family members tend to be npcs, though. Views on lore: I'm very, very new to ffxiv so I'm picking up on it slowly. Patience, please! Historically, though, I don't mind a bit of lore-bending or gap-filling as long as it's tasteful. Views on chat functions (/say, /linkshell, etc): I primarily use /em, /s, and /w for their intended purposes in a narrative fashion as opposed to asterisks, but I'm cool with either! I had my first FFXIV rp today! I was pretty nervous as the room was full and the chat scroll was REAL, but it was fun! Some OOC screwing around outside Wayfarer's Rest. Look at all the smol!

:'DD Thank you both! After sitting on the brown for a bit, I think it's beginning to grow on me too! I decided on a slightly warmer shade, though. Olixandre Blaque has an official hair color now ~ ^-^ Now, to develop her as a character.

Hello! I am very, VERY picky when it comes to designing characters, and I have been back and forth with Olixandre's hair for a while. She doesn't have a profile yet, but I'd like for her to be my main here! She is a young, smol, Hyur midlander witch who I'm thinking will begin her story by arriving in Ul'Dah for the first time in pursuit of a better life (as opposed to selling potions and jewelry on the streets of Limsa), but that's all up in the air. My original intent was to have her hair be prematurely gray, but I'm not sure if that's overplayed / will wash the rest of her out, as she has gray / silver eyes. So I figured--brown! But I thought she looked like a librarian. Everyone and their mother seems to have black hair, so I avoided it despite liking the contrast between it and her eyes. Style-wise, I wanted her to have thick hair, but the thickest option I've found was the bob, but I'm not sure about that either. DDD; Opinions? Suggestions? Groans of annoyance? XDD These are what I have so far:
