I'm playing on Adamantoise .So far,no rp in sight. It seems quite well populated, but I have yet to encounter a fellow roleplayer. Balmung is obviously not an option. What now? Eeeeeeek.

Yaaaaaaas, a fellow Aussie? Man of Colors by Icehouse was my first purchase, for pocket money. I was proud. But not -nearly- as proud as Iva Davies was of his glorious, curly mullet.

Liadan is right. Don't mind me, I'm a grumpy old curmudgeon. I understand the shellshock completely. Maybe... We can agree on us newbies all coming together say...every Friday night, or whatever works for people, and getting our own storylines and interaction going? =)

I'm going to be the one called "mean", even though it is completely not my intent. As I type this, I need to stress that I too, am new to this game and server. Very ,very very green little cricket. I've played a bit in the Sands, but truth be told, I am planning on leveling a bit, getting my glamour up etc, before I really dive in[ my character is a courtesan-she cannot be -seen- cavorting about in...hemp.ugh.] I also played WoW since vanilla,and was co guild leader in a successful rp guild. That being said. . I constantly got compliments on my RP style and character, which I was very confident with. I then became an officer to that guild and was on the officer board for two years, during that time span I had become extremely popular and everyone treated me like I was special. It almost felt like I was a celebrity on that server. This. I don't think you actually- want- to roleplay for the sake of well, roleplay. You want to be gasped over, cajoled, be treated as if you are special, celebrity. This is so you can feel better about whatever it is that attention gives you. Roleplay is like writing- you don't write to impress, you do it because you want to, and you enjoy it. In a game such a this[ huge rp population], on a massive server, you are -not going to be super duper special[or maybe you will, who knows]. Instead of having a stomping feet tantrum about how you no longer are granted celebrity status, how about you just...play because its fun?

I suppose I could -do- romance, its just that it takes a -lot- to impress me and make me go n'awwwww. My views on romance are a bit complicated. Woo me but master me, make me laugh but keep me on my toes, ohgodidontknowokijustdont. Most romantic rp I have witnessed so far[and I'm -very- new to this game in particular], in public[aka the Sands], has made me cringe. I think I'm going the courtesan route with my character as that way I can meet lots of role-players, yet don't have to pretend I enjoy being wooed by them once our time together is over. Monogamy is cool, IF said character is worth it.Most are tools and are not. I'm a curmudgeon, SUE ME. * any /all references to cutesie anime will be shot down immediately.no.not with me.just don't. ** basically ,I just want someone dark, magnetic and brooding like the Winter Soldier and as sexy, so I can write long posts about rain, sex and -regret-. Sweet Peach.sigh. I went to Ulta. I asked about it. I was icily and frostily informed that it was sold out At Ulta, Sephora, and both places online as -well-. When I asked when it would be in stock, I was informed I was being difficult and THAT IT .WAS.SOLD.OUT. GONE. :cry:

Like some of the peeps who have posted on this thread, I have played WoW since vanilla, up to the current expansion. it just -feels- dated. I know that isn't a very accurate description[from someone on a roleplay forum no less:blush: ], but there you have it. Despite their graphics reboot, it still looks pixelated and basic.No matter what settings you play on. Combat looks and feels clunky and awkward- pew pew indeed. Garrisons are pointless, and have taken the game into the direction I felt SWTOR went- a singe player game with mmo moments/elements. Sure finding a group is somewhat easy[raid or not], but..other than that? Logging on to grind. And grind some more.Rep here, rep there, everywhere a rep rep.Repeat. Meh. Im very new to FF, and so in awe of the graphics.OMG so pretty.It seems that, with the elaborate graphics, housing, chocobos, character customization, that ff is ...hm, dare I say it?-Better-?
