Hello there fellow SE Asian & welcome to the RPC! Glad to have you here. Gosh Xenogears, Chrono Trigger, TERRANIGMA, Breath of Fire auugh I miss those games. There are still some nice JRPGs (for me) out there namely Drakengard and Nier. They also have an AMAZING soundtrack, Nier especially so. Anyway I'm rambling, sorry. Very much the same as the above except that I only have Bastion, Skyrim and FFIX to play and still I haven't finished the first two yet. Also burnt out on Guild Wars 2 and haven't played since May I think? Can't really pinpoint why. The combat was okay, my friends were (are?) still pretty active, didn't get to RP so can't say anything on that. The moment I saw clips of The Repopulation I was instantly hooked. The premise sounds very interesting and is a sandbox game to boot. Same goes for ArcheAge. I'm also quite interested in Wildstar, Black Desert, Zombie Playground, Transistor and Final Fantasy XV although I feel that when FFXIV comes out they'll be out of my radar.

I really like how it sounds, especially the first name so 8/10 :] My wildwood is named Mathieu Douanier. Didn't follow the naming convention completely but it is french, with the surname roughly meaning "toll collector".

heh, i had the same thing happen to me with a previous character. For some reason i got a picture of him in my head, but then found that neither the hair color, style or skin tone was available. >.< like a boss :frustrated: Our concepts of them would remain in our heads.. at least until new options were made available and that hair color, style and skin tone we want were amongst them.

Ahaha, thank you for this. I just have trouble being consistent with whatever style I attempt to try or do, like it would warp into a different style every few drawings or so. Anyway, I'll keep that in mind from now on. Thank you!

Thank you once again for the kind words. :blush: I feel that drawing a character helps me in fleshing them out, so I did that with my highlander alt. I didn't get the chance to create him last phase and I couldn't wait for the character creation benchmark so.. this happened. As if hairstyles weren't enough, I added some facial hair too. :T Hair option 01 Hair option 02 Hair option 03 I ended up liking hair option 01 and facial hair option 03 the most but then I felt sad because those aren't available in game. Oh well.

Was doing some warm ups earlier and decided to draw a Roegadyn because I'm not used to drawing people with their facial structure and build. Still needs to look more gruff? I suppose he can pass as a younger Roegadyn. -shrugs- More FFXIV art to come... soon! In the meantime, you can look through my intro for some silly drawings I made in response to the greetings I got (with the special participation of my lalafell Yuzen Sozen).

Most of the things I wanted to say have been already said, including the initial qualms on what the community will be like. While the forums I joined before weren't terrible towards me, there was this air of "I don't know you, I don't care about you" and were generally cold towards newcomers (and even to each other). Needless to say I didn't get that here. It's mainly because of how friendly people are here that I try to be as active as I can (more active than I've ever been in previous forums actually). Views on non-romantic RP (family ties, etc): I'm not entirely opposed to this but how exactly do you go about this? I pretty much have an idea of my characters' family trees, although not detailed so I guess distant relatives are okay? As well as childhood friends or former neighbors, etc. As long as there's prior discussion (and mutual agreement!) about what kind of relationship someone wants to establish with my characters then it's fine. If you do plan on being a pivotal figure in my characters' lives then maybe no. Or maybe yes. I don't know. Let's discuss! DX Views on lore: I am scared of lore-breaking and will do to the best of my ability to stick to what has been provided. If you feel that I am breaking lore then kindly correct me privately. From what little I know of it as of now, I will unlikely do the same but if your ideas are obviously way out there then you'd have to excuse my characters as they conveniently disappear in a cloud of smoke. Nah. There are players who follow the naming convention just because they want to, not beaause they roleplay. And I'm certain not everyone here think the same way with regards to following name conventions.

Same with the above for me. When I see a character that follow these naming convention I'd assume that they are rp-ers, or are open/interested in roleplay. As for me, I admit I have a hard time naming my characters. For my elezen I ended up going for a french name instead of sticking strictly to the guidelines although upon remembering that japanese name generator might still change it come launch.
