  1. I would have taken my PS4 with me on my work trip had I realized this was taking place last night instead of tonight. Today is May 1.
  2. Dangggg. That's crazy. X3 Yep, it's pretty crazy. Granted, you have to make sure and heal Carbuncle while he tanks because he'll take a crap ton of damage from a mob that much stronger than him. Also, if you get double teamed then running is your only shot. You can take one, but not two. Right. Knowing my luck I'd agro alllll the mobs. Everywhere! Yeah... watch out for respawns. :frustrated:

  4. I was playing on my PS3 until the PS4 launched. Then, I gave my PS3 to my brother. That's when I discovered that my laptop gets 13 fps inside the inn on minimum settings. I've missed the PS3 version for months. Now I can finally play the game again!
  5. Even though I set up Itarliht for this via PM, I'm going to go ahead and comment here so I'm on the board. Hero, please!
  6. Oh, got it! I was thinking of Curago as a Spanglish take on Curaga. Regardless of whether or not either of you ever heal, you'll always be pretend healbots in my imagination. That's not a bad thing, though. Tanks love healbots.
  7. Arcanist isn't bad at all for leveling. Pet classes are always stupid easy mode. I was killing things 10 levels higher than me with my Topaz Carbuncle and my chocobo.
  8. I have no idea what pic and/or gif you linked there since our web fish is blocking it but I'm sure it's epic.
  9. What do you mean by that? Just being silly and playing off your name. I'm a tank, so I was pretending to reserve your healing skills for my own personal use so I don't get squished by a big baddie. Oh, right.. forgot I am a curing spell on FF.. LOL.. My name is to match my husbands though. That's cool. Dibs on a pair of healbots, then.

  11. I suppose you could. How do you think your jackal would react to seeing a Carbuncle?
  12. I'm just now seeing your response here. I thought for sure you had a wonderful jackal, but friends are nice as well.
  13. I call dibs on the healbot.
  14. Yes, it is. You can find information on that event in this thread.
  15. One important note on the time zone is that hardly anyone in the US is on Standard Time right now. There are a couple of states that do not observe Daylight Savings Time, but almost everyone in the Eastern time zone will be on EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) instead of EST. Choosing EDT (North America) is usually going to be your best bet if converting from Eastern time. If something is listed as Central then CDT (North America) will also be your best bet. If someone posts something as EST or CST when we're on Daylight Savings Time then I will always ask for a clarification as some people do not observe Daylight Savings Time and others just always list things as EST or CST regardless of whether or not it's in effect.
  16. The Town Square has been pretty active recently. Romance! Romance should come from seeing if your character has chemistry with another character. I wouldn't run around advertising you want a romance, but instead look for new contacts, roleplay with them and see where the characters' chemistry is. Because you could advertise and your characters just... don't have that spark and its awkward if you plan it and it doesn't work out. Romance should be as organic as possible, really. Always be honest though! In OOC communications with your rp buddy let it be known if you felt there was a connection between the two and your not adverse to romance SHOULD it happen. Don't expect romance to happen either, let it be surprising and fun and spontaneous, with - of course - both players OOCly being okay IF (not when) it goes there. You seriously mean to tell me that you read the Getting Married thread and still think that random romance for the sake of random romance is a bad idea? C'mon, now. That was epic fun.
  17. Have you ever thought about posting an open thread in the Town Square? I, for one, hardly ever look at a person's wiki unless I have a specific reason to get to know their character better; or if I'm just completely bored and have nothing to do but look at the wiki.
  18. That LS would fall into this category. It's always good to find a group of people who have the same RP interests as you do. Have fun with it.
  19. Just to clarify this, I have never had any question of who is and isn't forgotten. The only reason there was any question as to whether or not the dead brother would be remembered as having been at the battle is because a person using his name has been time jumped. This is the only reason I wondered. He was not there but his name was. Clearly, he will be remembered. I was only curious for the purposes of using the older brother as a plot hook for PCs who are from Ul'dah. Whether or not they would have the erroneous belief that he had fought in Carteneau was the only question.
  20. Treating a current patch as current events can be tricky because people are going to be at different points in the story. If you're going to RP the latest content as current events then you need to make sure that the people you're playing with are on the same page. It isn't safe to assume that the community in general will see events as having fully transpired until a new patch is released. When one patch is released, the events of the previous patch have concluded by that release date. It's certainly acceptable to keep your character in the moment, just realize that some of what you may consider to be current events may be months in the past or even months in the future for another person. As you can see, this can be a slippery slope. I would personally not RP aspects of a current patch as being current for my character unless it was with a group of likeminded players. I would not publicly declare that I have slain Leviathan, for example, even if I have him on farm status. Ultimately, you must bear in mind that RP is meant to be fun. If you are playing with likeminded individuals then you can pretty much play things however you want to. Just understand that if you do certain things in the middle of the Quicksand then it might not be as well received. I wouldn't bother playing with someone who was bragging about how he cut off Leviathan's head, for example. Others probably would have no problem with that scenario.
