Apologies for bringing this old old post from the grave! I was curious if such a race would still even be viable after all that has happened in the MSQ and what not. What are the thoughts on those who might happen to see this due to my little bump of a post? It would be a shame for something a bit creative to be lost in the void if people could perchance make an interesting character concept.

I wish I could have made it earlier and not miss such a great event! My character was meant to perform and even warned Rhen of my lateness. (I had to work due to a call-in and got in-game by 8:30) Sadly, the talent performance had ended far shorter then both her and I expected so I never got the chance. Here is hope for a next time though!

My lalafell character Ulemo is a performing minstrel that wanders about playing melodies. He uses magick in his performances, allowing him to summon his instruments to his side whenever needed. He generally sticks with a mandolin and violin as his two main choices. Personally, I use youtube to play melodies for people to enjoy if they so wish. My experience in regards to singing is a bit more diminished. What he does sing are more poems, rhymes, and limericks. He favors instrument only melodies while also doing magical acts and stunts. Sorry that I can't really help in that regard. Yet, I am sure that other bards and performers can fill in that regard. Best of luck with your own character. Lovely to see another pick up an instrument rather then a weapon!

Welcome out of lurkdom! If you ever see a wandering Lalafell named Ulemo. He might offer Mikh'al a song. Not exactly the substance he needs but it'll be better then nothing. If hearing a ditty or two is not your thing then may he can find a hunting partner with L'zhax if your Keeper doesn't gave a burning hatred for the Seeker kind.

Hello! I finally got around to doing an introduction! I've had a previous account on here before but I hardly used it / forgot about it. This time around I hope to be a bit more active! I've been a long time lurker for years so apologies for the laziness! Anyhow, now that's out of the way. I've have done roleplay on a numerous amount of games. From WoW, SWTOR, ESO, and even Archeage (please kill me). I currently have two characters whom I attempt to play equally. A sand cat named L'zhax who I play with my fiance' with and a bardic lalafell named Ulemo Tesheremo who I play when I'm up for shenanigans and the like! Lovely to finally greet you all. Random lurker here! This is actually my first post on Hydaelyn but I felt compelled to reply to this topic. I will have to make a more formal introductory post once I get around to an actual conputer. Right now, I'm on vacation, half across America from my own! Anyhow, that's enough rambling about me. I have a Lalafell that is more closely resembling a DnD style bard rather then a FFXIV archer that can sing. The way I play it out is that Ulemo Tesheremo took some time learning both arcanima and conjury. He uses both those fields to create minor cantrips in order to enhance his performance. Arcanima could produce lights, smoke, and other oddities while conjury was used to help carry sound! I've been a bit shy explaining all of this due to the chance of possible lore breaking but hopefully the wood of a bard's instrument can prove to be a mediun, albeit poor for conjury. OOCly, I use class spells, fireworks and prisms to create more aesthetic for people who suffer my lalafell's presence. Overall, be prepared to keep your fingers busy as such characters can be extremely energetic and demand a bit of flair so quickly clicking on items and doing emotes nearly at the same time to create some flourish. At least, that is how I play Ulemo!
