political rp (especially dealing with nobility or merchants, unf, I love me some trade machinations) and grimdark choking on the shadows and blood rp (just under the line of 'really?' .... but probably over the line for a lot of folks, anyways) are near and dear to my heart.

Along with pretty much everything else. Except comedy -- it needs to be dark or dry for me to really get into comedy rp. or just drama by itself, not my thing. However, drama with just about anything, when done very thoughtfully and carefully, is wonderful.

I love you, rp, in all your flavors. Even if I don't like writing some of them, I still love them.

I like almost everything under the sun, and like many have said, I am adaptable. I love dramatic, plot based, as well as romantic/dark RP (for those of you who know the show, the level of 'dark RP' can reach the levels of American Horror Story show. But not everything needs to be super dark and explicit all the time!) Everything must make sense and flow. Do what your character would, not the player. I feel spontaneous RP tends to be the best. :3

I am going to echo what C said (never gonna be Setoh!), that I really prefer RP that comes about naturally. That's not to say that I do not enjoy plotlines, which I do enjoy (and which I appreciate even beyond my enjoyment for all of the effort, work, and creative energy they require), but if it feels like the story is already developed and we are only writing in the dialogue, I tend to lose interest.

I also don't care much for real "dark" RP - so often it feels like forced drama meant to make itself worthy of the title; something more akin to a depressed soap opera. It just ends up feeling forced and trite. It has its place: life is full of darkness and negative things, but I prefer to find that in stories and plots that did not set out just to achieve that.

Slice-of-Life is my bread and butter. Its what I do to pass time and just have fun, its what I do to meet people, and to try to make our RP community a more enjoyable, more immersive, and more satisfying place to play. Its not the end-all-of-end-alls, but I don't think that you can have a well-rounded, believable character without it. And, in terms of meeting people, I still feel like it is just the best.

I already clicked what i wanted on the posts but if there is one kind of RP i enjoy...It's anything that involves a group of people rather than like myself.

It's why I had been working on this event for over a year or so. Hoping to try and entice others to a more story driven RP that will also include their characters with a great finale. I can't reward anything awesome to everyone like an NPC but my intent is to hopefully make this into the RP records for Balmung.

So in truth, I enjoy making RPs enjoyable in some way. Scenarios or otherwise. I know not a lot of people will join in and i know some people will be on the whole 'Immersion broken' when I attempt some things that are a bit on the line between good and bad RP.

And while this game's lore is already intact, that shouldn't stop us from 'Adding' some sort of Community Event that can go alongside with it or be something server side that others can be aware of. Ludicrous i know, but i'm aiming for the stars as best as I can! :D

I voted "other", not because the other choices didn't quite show my preference options, but I like a decent mixture that wasn't really represented by the available choices.  For instance, I do like to RP a comic relief or just silly character, but not in a completely comedic RP style at all times.  It has to feel organic to the story (be it my character's or the story that my character just happens to have a part in), and sometimes there will be drama, romance, action, etc.

I also like a mixture of plot RP and just random freeform RP.  I prefer freeform, but that can be boring if there isn't a little excitement thrown in once in a while.  In fact, one of my favorite RP developments of one of my old RP characters came about AFTER a plot had finished and my character and another were grieving the loss of a mutual friend.  It led to my character meeting his new best friend (as well as me meeting one of MY closest friends in that character's player).

As the old saying goes, variety is the spice of life.  I find the same holds true for RP for me as well.
